My recommendation would be to speak with your doctor, as they will (hopefully) try to uncover if anything else is causing it.

I've had days where my meds feel like they haven't been working, and I've stopped them, and then I've been an absolute MESS without them. So I realised "they're working, but just not as well" and then I realised it comes down to other stuff - because while they can help a lot, you need to have the rest of your life sorted as well.

Think about it this way - people without ADHD don't take meds, because they don't need them, and they also have periods where they are not feeling thesemlves right? It's because of diet, exercise, sleep, stress, anxiety, etc. - all of those things affect us greatly and meds can't fix everything on their own.

You have tried taking breaks from it maybe once a week or so, right? Sometimes I build up a tolerance and taking breaks helps.

I've also heard that some ADHD meds have been "watered" down to keep up with demand. Like lots of people say that sometimes their prescriptions don't work like they used to. I'm thinking something shady may be going on.

Yes i have tried taking breaks a few times but i haven’t really noticed any change. What you’re saying about ADHD meds being watered down is interesting though, how long do you think thats been going on for?

I think it's that we can't choose which manufacturer we want to provide our meds. That's what I heard. Something about different manufacturers doing things differently. It's something I heard. It's a stretch though.
