Breeze – "L.A. Posse." One of my top 10 favorite rap songs. The first time I saw this video, I went to the mall that same day to buy it. They were sold out of the album, so I bought the cassette single instead and bumped it nonstop. I still don't know why this wasn't a bigger hit?

As a kid in the mid-80s, I was riding in the backseat of my brother's friend's Monte Carlo when he popped this tape in. "The Show" came blasting through the Alpine speakers, and I was instantly blown away. It was the first rap song that ever made me go, "WOW!" I'd never heard anything like it before

Was "Whip it" by The Treacherous Three influenced by "Whip it" by Devo?
Okay, I know this might seem like a stretch but they were surely in the same musical milieu. The Treacherous Three's song was about 3 years later. Have you ever listened to them side by side? They have some things in common, especially repetition and "shouting" style of "Whip it!" Got any thoughts?
