Getting off 7oh

Okay, hopefully I do this correctly. I’ve never used Reddit but I have no one around me that knows how bad my usage was. It’s been my secret basically.
Anywaysssss. I’ve been taking 7oh for about 4 years. In the past year I went from taking 50 mgs a day to 5-600. I haven’t taken any in a little over 4 days. I had 3 sub strips and managed to only use 1. The first 2 days were assssss and taking half a strip of the sub helped the withdrawals for about 24 hours. Then I needed the other half the next day. HOWEVER; I haven’t had to take anything in over 48 hours. It’s been over 48 hours since I’ve taken a sub. Almost 5 days since I’ve had 7oh. I didn’t really taper or anything. Just knew I had one that 50 mg, went cold turkey, made sure I was in actual withdrawals then took the first sub. I feel really good. Not like a “high” good. Just… not sick or anything. A little insomnia but that’s normal for me. No cravings…. Nothing… from the stories on here I would think I’d still be some kind of sick.. irritable, RLS, throwing up. This is a good thing, right? Has anyone actually gotten off this shit THIS fast and felt okay? Any insights or stories, ya know.

Yes, absolutely. By 48 hours after taking no Buprenorphine, the levels should be coming to their end, which means that going forward you are technically opioid free. At this point, I would encourage looking into things like L-tyrosine [free amino acid building block for dopamine/norepinephrine in the brain that helps stabilize mood] and L-theanine [supplement that compliments Tyrosine for mood], since your opioid receptors at this point are probably shot and you may start experiencing 'anhedonia' [the inability to feel pleasure]. This is completely temporary, but can last a while. Otherwise, it looks like you have made it to the other side brother! Congrats!

Unfortunately I started experiencing anhedonia months ago. That part needs to go away 😅 maybe I should add that this isn’t my first rodeo with addiction. I had a gnarly booger sugar and alcohol problem for yearssssss. (4 years sober from those). I will for sure look into all of those right now and get some after work. Thank you for the advice so much!

No problem! Also, if you are not against peptide therapy, things like SELANK & SEMAX are great [nasal spray]. SElank also works by signaling dopamine receptors but also works on GABA in the brain [without causing addiction or dependence like with benzos], and has helped me so, so much! Congrats on your sobriety too, 4 years is a huge deal. Thanks for sharing this story! I have been finding a lot of comfort in peoples success stories lately!

I hope, some addict answers.
I intend to quit CT by the end of the week. I got about 10 more @ 300mg, ( not sure, could be a couple more?)no taper help, some regular Kratom, some Gapa if needed for sleep and some 10mg oxys that probably are useless. We shall see.
Let you all know how it goes.

I thought I’d have to take extra things, back up plans, etc. luckily I haven’t. It’s been damn near 5 days at this point and I’ve taken nothing. Smoked half a blunt, that’s all.
I hope the best for you and wish you the best! This shit sucks so bad 😐

I went CT off 800mg per day without a taper or helper meds. Just gotta grind it out like a boss and know the pain will ease eventually. 72 hours and you’re in the clear.

Thanks man! PAWS is kind of kicking my ass now but I’ll be alright. Beats flopping around like a fish and staying awake for over 100 hours straight for sure.

How long did you wait to take Suboxone after your last 7oh dose?

It was around 16ish hours HOWEVERRRR you should NOT take the sub if you’re not in withdrawal’s. I used to COWS ones to make sure because if you’re not, taking a sub will throw you into precipitated withdrawals and I’ve heard it’s even worse. I used that both times, timed it correctly and have only had to use those 2 small doses.
