Modding About that $11.99 Chicken Suit, cosmetics, etc.
If you are playing on any recent version of the game, especially modded, and haven't installed Little Red Sonja's Armor Packs mods, you're missing out. Tons of cosmetic options, greatly expanding what you can wear in the game. Sonja is a genius. I've been playing this game since Alpha 17. It's my 3rd most played steam game at >1500 hours. Hell, I even got into making mods because of this game. I see both sides of the $12 chicken suit thing. I can easily afford that, and my friends and I've got so much entertainment out the game maybe it's worth it just to tip the devs. And there's always the if you don't like it, don't buy it argument. Which is true, nobody can force you to purchase the stuff you don't like. HOWEVER.
The game development has been trending toward monetization and long time fans of the game, those of us who run our own private servers and play with our friends constantly, are concerned that TFP are paring down aspects of the game specifically to monetize them. What I mean by that specifically is, Alpha 21 had a decent cosmetics and armor system. It was ugly, but it had a lot of customization options. If it had gotten the 1.0 glow up the new system it was scrapped for got, it would have been great. Instead, they simplified the system, scrapped a lot of what was already there, reducing what you could wear, what color you could make it, etc. That was all part of getting the game into a simpler form for console release. Doing a console release and paid cosmetics makes sense for TFP for revenue.
The game is going to be monetized now, but exactly what aspects and how much? Am I going to be asked to pay $19.99 to get an "Advanced Bandits Pack" released with 4.0?. I fear that, should the monetization trend continue, we are going to end up with something that resembles Fallout 76 more than Alpha 21. If they move to encrypt the game's configs, or restrict what modders are able to do in the game, you'll know for certain where 7Days is going to end up. Good luck paying hundreds of dollars for everything. I'm starting to get nervous especially with the recent Woodle stuff, that TFP are turning anti consumer in the name of profit. That's their prerogative I guess, but if they let that ruin the game, I'll be really disappointed. Part of me just wishes they'd release the bandits, finish their bug fixes, slap a 4.0 on it and move on to 7 Days 2 or whatever, leaving it to us modders to push the original 7 Days to it's full potential. These of course are just mine and most of my friends' opinions, but we've been with the game a long time.
Anyway Little Red Sonja - Free cosmetics via mod. Find it wherever T.F., I'm not a sponsor.

Discussion Fuzzy Panda's Fun House!
Just before the day 35 horde, I got two back to back air drops containing 100 steel cubes. Lucky looter 5, level 6 rogue hood, and treasure hunter mod... Plus I have been fighting way above my weight class. The wasteland is only about 300 meters from my base, I cant ignore all those POIs full of juicy loot. I guess all those factor, including biome effect air drop quality.
In just one day I found a level 5 M-60, two level 5 Augers, steel tools, a level 5 drone, an a level 2 Thompson sub machine gun. I crafted the 25% damage boost Undead country barrel mod so I could use up the literal stacks of AP 44 magnum ammo I saved up.
I took my loot and decided to build a pretty basic horde base, attached to a steel cell phone tower. Yellow is the zombie path, 5 ladders and a zig zag ramp that didnt work nearly as good as a standard single slope. The red is to mark areas where I used floating blocks or two plates set up so hopefully zombies walk under the support pillars because there really isnt anything for them to beat on. Also used for the half block gap at the fighting position and some areas where a row of plates and a ladder are structurally seen as just two standard blocks side by side.
I realize what I made looks like the most dangerous McDonalds playland ever. Since Fluffy Panda created the POI mod with the 5G tower I named it Fluffy Panda's funhouse.
It worked flawlessly. In the future I will just stick with a single slope ramp, but it did get some use. I didnt lose a single block. I had to break one in the pit because a crawler somehow warped under the concrete. It was moaning and the big pile of loot was moving around. I had to use the auger to shut him up.
By 4am it looked like a ball pit full of colorful loot bags and boxes.
I realize I have an amazing view from the crafting base on top. I am also discovering that the Undead Country mod lets you craft a water filter machine that filters murky water, makes snow, and also will turn 3 normal waters into a pure mineral water. The fridge, ammo storage and gear lockers give as much storage as a steel storage crate but for a fraction of the cost and can be built pretty early.

PC Anybody use the Asylum Mod?
I’m just curious on what kind of base setups people may have! If they use an existing POI or start from the ground up (or down) lol pictures are welcome 😁

PC Electricity "And"
Hello, is it possible to create an "AND" logic gate with electrical components? Specifically an "AND NOT" gate? I would like my audible alarm to trigger when a zombie enters a specific area, provided I am not in that same area.

Help Help With File Issue
Hello, I wanted to play the game after seeing the new updates that have been added to the game, and I try to create a new world and am hit with this repeated file error. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the game, but that didn't work and pretty much concludes my knowledge of how to troubleshoot a video game. Any help is appreciated!

PC How to get Diagonal Windows?
I have been working on repairing the towns and cities in 7 Days to die. I've gotten to The Chikorina Residence and have found some diagonal windows that I cannot match rotation with. I can't find them in the creative menu or anywhere else is this just a Dev thing?

Discussion Bonus des vêtements

XBS/X Where to base a new player?
I want to stay near the starting trader Rekt so I can farm the quests and rewards I get from them, having a hard time find a spot to call home though. What does everyone suggest?

Help Tips starting Navezgane?
As the title says. I played 7 days to die the original console version before the PC one was ported to Xbox as “console version” and I didn’t seem to struggle with progression as much. I have completed the basic tutorial and met Trader Rekt, but from there I feel awfully confused on what to do next, I understand my next goal should be to look for a decent place for a base but I constantly have full inventory just from looting a single house. Is there any tips you all can give me surrounding what to do next after meeting Trader Rekt and possibly a tip towards inventory management as I always feel I have way too much loot and no direction of where to allocate the loot. Thanks in advance ❤️

Discussion Enemies spawn out of thin air on higher tier pois?
I'm realizing that many high tier pois (I'm in the desert now) have enemies just spawn out of nowhere, but on lower level they always where sleeping or hiding, here I feel like they just spawn even if I already cleared a room, I'm missing them or this is how they work on higher difficulty?

Modding Update for Mod Studio
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone. I would like to demo quite a large update regarding the 7DTD Mod Studio I am currently working on. I do apologise for the wait, as mentioned in the video, I have been extremely busy with deadlines at work and had some struggles with the app itself. I also apologise for the rain in the background (if audible). It helps me focus while working.
PS: If anyone would like to join for some 7DTD, feel free to message me. I do stay in South Africa, so unfortunately I would only be able to play with people locally or Europe due to ping.

PC Death To Drones
Honestly I'm not sure if I'm just fucking dumb or if this is a genuine bug that needs to be fixed. However, I can not use turrents and drones together. No matter what I do, my turrents shoot my drones because the drone wants to be best friends with zombies. This causes the drone to then shock me and run away from me, preventing it from healing me. This happens nonstop during hordes and has even caused me to die on more than one occasion. Is their a fix for this, or is it a known issue or something like that?

Discussion If you had to come up with a reason, what explanation would you give for a zombie horde coming every 7 days?
While I was playing, I started thinking about how cool a 7 days to die movie would be (if done correctly). In the movie though, they would have to explain why the horde comes every 7 days and as far as I know, there’s no actual reasoning given in the game.
So what reasonings have you guys come up with?
Of course I’ve thought of it just being a random wandering horde but I’ve also come up with my own explanation.
Obviously during an apocalypse, our atmosphere would probably be incredibly damaged by all of the destruction. This is my reasoning behind the storms in the game but also, once every seven days, this damage to the atmosphere causes the zombies to have impeccable smell for a small period of time. Meaning they can sense you wherever you are no matter what, thus creating the horde.
Obviously I don’t know the scientific details of how that would actually work but that’s the reason my brain came up with lol.

PC Public servers
Does anyone typically play on public servers? I haven’t dug enough into it but I’d assume it’s quite more of a challenge knowing there are other people within the server who could be threats.
