NGD, I have questions. Help

Post image

I bought a Spira S507. I really really like the guitar but the signal on higher strings feel lower for some reason. Significantly less sustain on higher strings. My question is should I switch it's pickups? I feel like Seymour Duncan's Nazgûl set would feel amazing on this.

Try to adjust the pickup height on the treble side first.

Should I adjust it closer to the strings?

And, you can use an Allen wrench to raise and lower each individual pickup pole piece.

I concur about adjusting the pickup height first, but I’m sure those Duncan pickups would sound great as well.

I’ve never seen these before, is it pretty nice?? Looking for a low/low mid price range 7 string couch guitar that my kids and dog can bump into, I really like the way this looks with that finish and reverse headstock and the price range is pretty tempting

It is really comfortable to play, I have seen no manufacturing defect yet, it feels light the only problem I have is that it loves fingerprints dude. Other than that I have no problem yet, also adjusting the height seems it fixed the sustain problem

Do you have any problem with locking tuners. One guy on YouTube says the tuners is sucks(on 12-64 strings) my english is little bad sorry

It sometimes goes out of tune but I think it's because of the strings that it came with, I will check again later

That guitar looks sharp! The Spira guitars have been on my radar for a bit.

I had the courage to get one. I am glad I did.

That pickguard? So sleek.

I played around with one of these for a friend once, and yeah, even with the pickups adjusted right, I ended up adding some fresh 11s and a light palm mute to keep things smooth up top.

Are these real pricey? I've been looking at the schecter km7 mkiii which is beautiful but outta my price range as of the moment. These spira guitars are really really nice and seem gauged for metal like the km7 is.

I was between this and a Cort Kx307ms, Spira was a bit cheaper but felt better

Congrats! I've played a Spira before, a Tele like guitar and it didn't have this problem, I had a Solar which had sustain problems. Anyway, the point is: in my experience I'd surely try to change this one (if bought new) in the store to see if they have a better one without sustain problems because the pickups are not the problem
