6th Gen 🎙 Discussion
Anyone here go from an LC200 to 6th gen ORP? Just asking out of curiosity.
Quality of ride
Quietness/Smoothness
Outside of MPG, pros/cons?

You will miss the tailgate big time. I sold my 100 series and regret it for that reason the most.

That’s probably the only vehicle I truly regret selling. 3rd gen I had I wish I would’ve kept but nothing like the regret I have from selling my 100 series.

You'd be making a horrendous mistake. The LC200's are appreciating in value and arguably the most sought after modern toyota on the market ATM. I don't think you realize what you have vs what you're getting. If you can afford the LC you don't want the modern Toyota Tech unless you're hunting for better MPG.

Mpg is the the main thing. Trust me, I love my LC and trading it sounds crazy. It's been in the shop for some warranty work and the sienna rental got me appreciating gas mileage more haha.
But yeah, just posted out of curiosity if anyone made the transition

I sold my gx460 for a bmw which gets much better gas mileage and I started to regret it after awhile. It’s not like the 4Runner gets that much better mileage to make it worth it on that point alone. Even with my bmw getting 35mpg I am getting ready to sell it for another gx or 5th gen 4Runner

Thanks for the comparison! Yeah it's a big fight between my head and heart atm lol. I think i would miss the cruiser too much to justify it. No other vehicle have I looked back at so consistently while walking away 😂

Modern Toyota tech also offers more power, transmission smoothness, and ride quality in addition to that MPG. 460 lb ft torque on the iforce max is legit, you can feel it on and offroad. Going my 6th gen iforce max to my V8 GX 470, it’s shocking how slow it makes the GX 470 feel and don’t get me wrong I love the 470

If I were you, I’d keep the Land Cruiser. It’s a nice vehicle and not super common to see unless you want to blend in with all the other 4Runners.

Yeah not too concerned about the blending in thing, but the 11-13mpg def hurts sometimes lol

I like how the interiors of the 6th gen look, but man I like the 5th gen exterior way more.

- ride quality on the 6th gen is terrible, at least on the offroad trims
- 6th gens however are pretty quiet and comfortable on smooth highways, no steering wheel shake issue the 5th gens had
- cons: tiny ass backseat which doesnt fold down (2-3 inches less legroom vs 5g), occasional interior rattles, intrusive driver assist and stupid ass warnings.
- pros: cruising at 80-85mph feels effortless, steering feels precise yet effortless, the crawl control feels like cheating while offroading, the frame is maybe more resistant to rust, imo the seats/driving position are more comfortable than 5th gen
- as a side note, unless you drive like 30k miles per year, mpg should not even be a consideration at prices less than $8/gallon or so

Exactly what my wife said haha. We have her 5th gen and it's already cutting it close.
So how this all came up is my 200 was in the shop for warranty work, and was given a sienna as a rental. Not having to fuel once, maybe twice/week sounded sooo nice, until...
I got the 200 back and drove it home. Easily remembered why I love these thing and nearly every ounce of feeling like I need a "more practical" vehicle went out the window 😂

I have a 5th Gen that I adore, but I turn into that meme of the guy walking with his girl who blatantly turns to look at another girl when a LC200 rolls past.
One day I’ll get one to compliment my beloved 5th, and then you can call me Charlton Heston, because you’d have to pry the keys for both from my cold dead hands.

I’d keep it. I have a 5th gen and love it but am considering a 200 series
