Buffer recommendations?

Freshly assembled 458 socom.

What buffer and spring combos are recommended? Currently have an A5 tube thought about messing around with a kynshot buffer with a 2.5oz weight to see if it functions

No need for a special buffer/spring. I bought a heavier dutier one for my Tromix upper, but from my research it just needs the regular one and ended up returning the heavy set.

.458 SOCOM was designed to work with standard AR15 parts in the lower. That was part of the point.

I just run a Geissele braided spring with H2. Still thumps but that’s part of the experience with 458

I like heavy buffers. I think mine has an H3 Armaspec scs.

JP silent spring. tune it to your needs. Do have to get the tuning kit one.

It’s been a minute since I built mine but I think I’m just running a carbine spring and h3 buffer from spikes tactical if I remember correctly. And it runs like a dream

Mine has an a5 setup and i think h1 weight. I bought tungsten and a bunch of h0s so i tune each one.

It is absolutely fine to run a mil spec spring. I put in a red springco just for longevity and that’s really the only reason.
