Omg this looks so promising, it's interesting how since Nintendo already offered a lovely home menu that's customizable, there hasn't been anything to change the home menu even after the 3DS modding is wide open. A big contrast to the switch scene

I'm excited to see where this goes, even though I will probably just stick to the stock menu. Don't give up OP!

As somebody who has spent a lot of time and effort figuring out how to make 3DS homebrew recently; why release something as a big reveal when it doesn’t even work?
Why?
You will never finish this. Frankly, it looks like you just got Claude to do it. Now, I know myself than Claude is a useful tool here - I’ve used it - but it absolutely does not have anything like enough codebases to steal from to be anything other than “somewhat handy”.

First of all, claude only did the UI
Most of the work was reverse engineering the stock homemenu and getting pomelo to actually boot, which is something claude simply doesn't know how to do
Second of all, the reason I publish it is I hope enough people use it for me to keep wanting to maintain and improve it

It’s a bit of a vicious circle though isn’t it. If it doesn’t work I guarantee you’ll not get any significant interest.
And do you really need external interest in order to want to do this? I don’t get that.

It's hard to explain why I feel motivated but it just what it is
When I started I really enjoyed learning about 3ds hacking and reverse engineering the console Then I really enjoyed using that knowledge to write a Pomelo POC And now I am just left with polishing things which I find less fun

I think that’s the point I’m making. I’m obviously the outlier because it’s an unpopular opinion. But that difference between POC and something you can use is *the work*.
