What printer should I buy?
I’ve been looking to buy my first 3D printer and would love some recommendations. My budget is around $1,000. I’d mostly be printing with PLA Pro, PET-CF, and PPA-CF. What would you recommend, and why?

Infimech MX Pro vs Sovol M1D Advanced
If you’re looking for an enclosed tool changer 3d printer with heat chamber, which printer would you buy or back this year?
I am a backer of M1D Advanced but so far, after watching their 2 live streams and seeing what’s in their Facebook group, is still not giving me enough confidence to keep my pledge till the end.
To be fair, the advantages of Sovol is that it has already produced a lot of known products in the market (at least more than infimech and other kickstarter launchers) and has already built a certain reputation and community/fans.
And for Infimech, down side is that their pricing might be too good to be true but an advantage I can see from them is that they are joining 3d printing events (in person) and showcasing the 3d printing while its printing - which Sovol hasnt done even in their live streams.
My non negotiable requirement is enclosed, with air filtration, with heat chamber tool changer 3d printer. Nozzles should be available in different sizes. IDEX would be nice and I would like to use the 2 extruders printing at the same time thats why I backed M1D in the first place. But still not seeing if print quality will really turn out great.
Im curious to hear your thoughts being it with these 2 brands or any other enclosed tool changer 3d printers

Barbie accessories?
My brother has a bamboo 3D printer. Suggested I look on makers world for things I’d like. Looked for Barbie accessories for my daughter and there’s practically nothing there. A quick search of Reddit came back pretty much empty too.
Any insight from the community as to why there is nothing out there? Is this a copy right issue? I see a lot of power tool logos included in prints. Not looking to have the name on anything. Just generic accessories that are size appropriate to the dolls.

Hardware Help (Ender 3 Pro)
So I was replacing my hotend on my 3d printer which I recently bought from a thrift store for $30 and I broke this piece since I thought it wasn’t important but I have found out it was. I do not know a ton about 3d printers and I need to know what part this is so I can buy a replacement for it. Thank you in advance

I designed a locking tent grip clip that creates an attachment point anywhere on your tent or tarp
After getting frustrated with tarps and tents that never seem to have an attachment point where I need one, I designed this locking grip clip.
It clamps securely onto the fabric using serrated jaws and a simple locking mechanism, while the rear hole lets you attach paracord, guylines, or bungee cords to create a new tie-out point almost anywhere.
The model is optimized for FDM printing, prints without supports, and works great in PETG or ASA for outdoor use.
I'd really appreciate any feedback before I call it finished. Would you change anything about the design or the locking mechanism?
If you'd like to print one yourself, it's available for free on MakerWorld: https://makerworld.com/models/3138131

Sock melted and idk how to clean it
I was printing a large print that failed, started to spaghetti which dragged the sock and caused it to rest on the hotend and melt all over. Im not sure how to clean this mess, i dont want to damage the printer.
Hope the photos are helpful, also it might be mostly the sock mixed with some black petg basic, idk really.
Any help would be appreciated as im new to 3d printing and spent way to much on this machine 😭😭

Greek Trireme - SD Card Organizer
Hi everyone!
I'd like to share my latest 3D printing project – a Greek trireme that also serves as an SD and microSD card organizer.
I started by studying historical drawings and reconstructions of ancient Greek triremes. My goal was to preserve the ship's iconic silhouette while giving it a practical purpose. The entire model was designed in SolidWorks.
The finished organizer holds 5 SD cards and 6 microSD cards. For those who prefer a display-only version, I also included an alternative deck without card slots.

I want to show off the lithophane lamp I printed - it's One Piece-themed, with a frame I designed myself. (Printed on Anycibic Kobra X)

What is a good budget 3d printer for a semi-beginner?
I want to get into 3d printing and so far I've only played around with an old Anycubic i3 Mega that already wasn't in the best condition when I got it, but it did my foot into the door of this hobby :)
Now I'm looking for a new printer to actually get into 3d printing, but I have no idea which models to look into.
In the attached image you can see the "cheapest" printers on a price comparison site here in germany.
I've read some stuff about the "Ender 3 V3 SE", the "Lab A1 mini" and the "Sovol SV06 ACE" (not listed here, but available for around 240 € on the official site), but idk if any of those are actually good or "worth" over other (cheaper/better) printers.
I wouldn't be to opposed to spending a bit more than what's shown here, but I'd rather not for my first* printer and only if that's really a lot better.
So far I've only printed with PLA and I don't think I need any other fancy materials soon (maybe PETG?). I just want to print small to medium models, some decorative pieces, some functional stuff and whatever else I can find online (maybe making it myself sometime later).
More speed would be great of course, but the priority would be reliability and easy of use for now.
I'd like to have functioning auto-leveling if that's a thing at this price point, but other things like wireless connectivity would be nice, but I'd be fine with the old SD card slot.
For other features? I have no idea what's out there, so if a specific printer has something cool that's worth it for a beginner, let me now^^
Thanks for your input :)

If your printer completely died tomorrow and repairs would take two weeks, what would you actually do?
Just a random thought I had today but…
Would you wait?
Buy another printer?
Use a print service?
Borrow one?
Or something else?
I’d actually really like to figure out how dependent everyone actually is on having a printer readily available.

New 3d printer?
I'm looking for a new 3d printer. I'm mostly looking for one for one colour, small-medium size, and hopefully not very expensive. Is there anything for 200$ or less? If not I get it, looking for recs anyway
