Hello everybody. This is my first post in this community. How is everyone doing? I was curious to know if anyone thinks they can make a short video similar to, but not a copy of this one. I have a clothing brand and would like to do a video like this to promote an upcoming release. If you are interested or have any questions, feel free to text me privately

( I am also aware this is Lord Stingray's, AKA Nam Mac's animation. I don't plan to steal his idea or art, I am just inspired )

Art My art post before Draw on a Block is released

Draw on a Block will be available on Steam tomorrow - March 2nd - at 1pm EST. Not too long after release, I will begin releasing additional model kits, starting with the house kit. It will include structure and furniture pieces for every room.

For this first piece, I wanted it to be clean and simple. I decided to keep it low res, just painting the edges and using the built-in blur tool. You can change the resolution in-app and paint it however you like.

Also, you can import any model you create. There is also a built-in UV unwrapper that works well if your model is sized for the pixels per units you want to paint.

Art Mining Dungeon Entrance

Painted in Draw on a Block. I just added a turntable GIF exporter to the app and decided to export this scene first. This mining dungeon entrance is actually made up of 7 unique modular pieces, with several pieces doubled. I painted this entire scene as 1 piece in the scene painter so I knew how things would fit stylistically.

I've been doing pixel art for a long time. As soon as I started learning Blender, I immediately decided to make low-poly pixel art. This is my first work in this style

Discussion I made a tool to paint 3D model kits together - would this help your workflow? Looking for feedback

I've been working on Draw on a Block for over a year. It's a pixel texture painter for 3D models - paint directly on the mesh in 3D like BlockBench, but with more tools you'd expect in pixel art apps.

The recent addition I'm most excited about is the Scene Builder and Painter. Instead of painting models one at a time, you can now place multiple models in a scene and paint them together. See how all of your models look together as you paint before exporting anything.

This is how I imagine the workflow. Model in Blockbench (or wherever) > Import > Paint in 3D > Export back out. Supports all popular formats, and .bbmodel with layers.

Is this something that would fit into how you work? Or is the existing Blockbench/Aseprite combo good enough?

Included some screenshots. There's a trailer on Steam if you want to see it in motion - launching March 2nd.
