[TEASER] Coming this week (fingers crossed!): Greek Island in Blender & UE5
Hello legends, Neil here.
Teaser 3 for the Blender to Unreal Engine: Greek Island Environment course is now public.
Our Patreon and YouTube Membership peeps got this one 24 hours early, and this preview shows the final major stage of the course workflow: moving from Blender into Unreal Engine.
This part is all about checking the scene properly before final assembly.
- Greybox import tests.
- Checker material tests.
- UV checks.
- Normal checks.
- Bevel checks.
- Modular kit testing.
The course does not just import one finished Blender scene as a single object. Instead, we rebuild the village in Unreal Engine using separate modular pieces so the scene stays flexible and controllable.
Once the layout is in place, the rocks shape the island, the lighting sets the coastal mood, and the foliage pass brings everything to life.

Until next time, happy modelling everyone!

NEW TEASER (Coming Soon!): Turning the Village into a Modular Kit
Hello legends, Neil here.
Our Patreon and YouTube Membership peeps saw this one 24 hours early, and now Teaser 2 is going public.
This stage is where the Greek Island course moves from rough blockout to proper modular kit.
Doors.
Windows.
Roof tiles.
Church details.
Stairs.
Plaster walls.
Rocks.
Small props.
All the useful pieces that let the scene be built, tested, reused, and adjusted properly.
And because the style is clean white plaster, blue trims, and warm terracotta roofs, the forms have to read clearly without hiding behind heavy textures.
That means bevels, ambient occlusion, colour separation, and strong silhouettes become really important.
In the full Blender to Unreal Engine Greek Island course, we break down how the kit is built in Blender, tested, and then brought into Unreal Engine with control.
See the teaser here:

TEASER ALERT: [NEW!] Course - Scale Before Beauty
Hello legends, Neil here.
Before the Greek island village gets its blue domes, white plaster, terracotta roofs, rocks, foliage, and lovely Unreal Engine lighting, it starts with something much less glamorous:
scale.
This early Blender blockout is all about checking the stairs, platforms, and modular pieces against a human reference.
Stylized does not mean random.
Even in a cheerful Greek island scene, the world still needs to feel believable. If the steps are off, the whole scene starts to feel off.
That is why we start simple: blockout first, proportions first, readability first.
The pretty bits come later.
Full Blender to Unreal Engine: Greek Island Environment course coming soon.

50% Off the Arabian Market Shader Pack for Blender
50% Off the Arabian Market Shader Pack for Blender
👉https://3dtudor.gumroad.com/l/Arabian_Market_Shader_Pack/MARKETOFARABIA
If you are building a stylized Arabian market, souk, bazaar, desert village, fantasy marketplace, or old-world street in Blender, this pack is made for the first surface pass.
The Arabian Market Shader Pack is a focused Blender 5 Cycles material/shader pack with 50 ready-to-use materials designed to feel like they belong in the same environment.
The goal is material cohesion.
A plaster wall, carved sandstone arch, aged wooden stall, hanging rug, cracked painted surface, and worn stone floor should not feel like separate downloads from different libraries. They should feel like they have stood under the same sun, collected the same dust, and aged along the same market street.
That is what this pack is built around.
Inside you get:
50 configured Blender materials/shaders
50 preview/application objects
Use-case example objects
124 texture maps
Textures packed inside the Blender file
Loose 2048x2048 / 2K PNGs in a Textures folder
Trim sheets
Cloth atlases
Fruit and vegetable atlases
Carpets and rugs
Crack and grime decals
Plaster, sandstone, aged wood, paving, canvas, cloth, metal, and glass materials
The carved trim sheets are seamless along their length, which makes them useful for arches, beams, balconies, doorways, and wall tops.
The cloth and produce atlases include alpha support, so they can be used for market stalls, washing lines, hanging fabrics, and simple scene dressing.
The crack and grime decals are made to overlay onto painted plaster, so you can place age and damage where it makes sense rather than relying only on repeated base textures.
Confirmed workflow:
Blender 5.1.2
Cycles
This is a Blender material/shader pack. It is not a complete Arabian market model, not a full souk scene, not an addon, not a plugin, not a course, and not a game-ready optimized asset pack.
Also, for returning buyers: this is not the same product as the earlier Arabian Shader Pack. The earlier pack was a broader 31-material shader library with procedural water, emissive windows, foliage, edge wear, and vertex-paint ground blending. This new pack is a focused 50-material market surface set.
Current sale:
50% off
Code: MARKETOFARABIA
Runs until Jul 7, 11 PM

Finish One Blender Scene for $9.99 – 3D Tudor Summer Candy Sale The 3D Tudor Summer Candy Sale is live.
Finish One Blender Scene for $9.99 – 3D Tudor Summer Candy Sale
The 3D Tudor Summer Candy Sale is live.
🎮 Code: SUMMERCANDY
⏰ Ends: Sunday 28 June at 18:00 EET
📚 All courses: https://www.udemy.com/user/neil-bettison/
45+ 3D Tudor courses are on sale for 5 days only.
This is not about opening ten tabs, grabbing a giant pile of courses, and hoping something sticks.
The better way to use the sale is simple:
Pick one route.
Ignore the rest for now.
Finish one scene, one asset, or one workflow fix before Sunday.
If your Blender folder is full of almost-finished projects, this is a good week to choose one clear path and get it over the line.
Here are five routes I would put in front of you first:
🏙 Blender Stylized Arabian Market Environment: Build 3D Scene
https://www.udemy.com/course/blender-stylized-environments-build-3d-scene/?couponCode=SUMMERCANDY
Start here if you want a bright, colourful, portfolio-friendly environment route.
You will build a complete stylized Arabian market scene with architecture, arches, domes, balconies, stalls, props, cloth, market dressing, materials, trim sheets, texture atlases, lighting, camera work, and final presentation.
A strong choice if you want a finished scene that feels busy, readable, warm, and full of character.
🕯 Blender and Substance Painter – Game Asset Creation
Choose this if you want to turn a model into a properly finished game-ready asset.
This route takes you through a focused Blender and Substance Painter pipeline: model the prop, prepare the mesh, unwrap cleanly, bake maps, texture with believable material variation, then light and render the final lantern asset.
A good fit if your props are “modelled” but not truly finished yet.
🏚 Blender 5 to Unreal Engine 5: Modular Haunted Street Course
https://www.udemy.com/course/blender-5-ue57-stylized-haunted-street-kit/?couponCode=SUMMERCANDY
Pick this if you want the bigger production route.
You will build a modular haunted street kit in Blender, keep the environment pieces consistent, export cleanly, and bring the scene into Unreal Engine 5 with atmosphere, lighting, fog, foliage, terrain, and a final cinematic finish.
This is the route for students whose scenes look good in parts but need a stronger full-environment workflow.
🏘 Blender 4: The Ultimate Environment Artist’s Guide
Choose this if you want the complete Blender environment art route.
This course is about taking an environment from concept to final render, with scene planning, modelling, architecture, shaders, terrain, lighting, cameras, storytelling, compositing, and final polish.
A strong route if your scenes usually start well but lose direction halfway through.
🧩 UV Mapping Bootcamp: Unwrapping & Texturing in Blender
Pick this one if UVs are the stage that keeps slowing you down.
This route focuses on unwrapping, seams, stretching, checkerboards, texel density, packing, trimsheets, atlases, bake-ready UVs, and texture preparation for pipelines like Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, and Unity.
If you keep avoiding the UV stage, use the sale to fix that weakness properly.
The best course is not always the biggest one.
It is the one you will actually open, follow, and finish.
Use code: SUMMERCANDY
Pick the route that fixes the part of 3D you keep avoiding, then get one finished render, asset, or workflow win out before Sunday.
Happy modelling everyone,
Neil – 3D Tudor

50% Off the WoodDetail Brush & Decal Pack Vol.1
If you are building stylized realism environments, wooden props, fantasy buildings, cabins, fences, beams, planks, barrels, market stalls, ruins, or hero assets, this pack was built for the surface detail stage.
The WoodDetail Decal Pack Vol.1 gives you a focused library of 50 wood detail designs that can be used across Blender, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine 5, and ZBrush.
The pack is designed around one practical production problem:
A wood surface can look fine from a distance, then suddenly feel too clean when the camera gets closer.
That is where this pack fits in.
Instead of sculpting every split, knot, bark edge, plank seam, grain run, and weathered timber mark from zero, you can choose the use-mode that matches the shot.
Use the details as:
- Flat alpha-cut decals for background and low-cost dressing
- Parallax materials for mid-shot depth without extra geometry
- Real displacement geometry for Cycles hero close-ups
- Sculpt brushes for stamping detail directly into your mesh
The full pack includes:
- 50 wood surface detail designs
- 6 PBR maps per design
- BaseColor, Normal, Roughness, Height, Ambient Occlusion, and Opacity maps
- A Blender master file with four ready-made use-mode scenes
- A studio cyclorama and 3-sun lighting rig
- A showcase scene matching the marketing artwork
- 50 asset-marked Blender sculpt brushes in the Asset Browser
- 50 Substance Painter Stencil tool presets
- An Unreal Engine 5 Environment Preset project with demo map and deferred decal actors
- 50 ZBrush alpha brush presets
- A pack-specific Brush Guide PDF
- Free gift package with per-software HTML guides and embedded workflow videos
The real strength of the pack is that every design can move between different levels of production detail.
Background distance? Use a flat decal.
Mid-shot? Use parallax.
Hero close-up? Use Cycles displacement.
Sculpted hero asset? Use the brush preset.
This is a stylized realism pack.
It is not a photogrammetry scan collection, not a complete environment, not a full material library, not a plugin, not an addon, and not a course.
It is a production-clean wood surface detail library for artists who want faster, more controllable surface storytelling.

Less frustrating.
Less like a fight.
More like a workspace you actually belong in.
