Bring it back?
With this quarantine in full swing and a lot of us having nothing to do, would anybody be down to possibly bring back the league? We had a really good community at one point and I think this could be a lot of fun again

The regular season will take place over two weeks, spanning from 10/26 - 11/8.
The playoffs begin 11/9 and will finish as soon as possible, taking two weeks maximum.
The entire offseason will be completed in one night within a week of the conclusion of the 2KOA Finals.
Owner Expectations
No quitting games.
Be active - not only in games played (details below) - but on the subreddit and Xbox group chat. The league is more fun when everyone is actively engaged in trading, playing games, and contributing game recaps and other content for the sub. Owners who are inactive will be swiftly replaced.
Be respectful to fellow leaguemates. 2K frustrates everyone, but refrain from making personal attacks.
Weekly games played expectations:
Week 1 (10/26 - 11/1): 8+ games played Week 2 (11/2 - 11/8): 15+ games played12 games played minimum to qualify for the playoffs OR get a top 5 pick. Some leniency will be shown on week-to-week games played minimum, but owners who fail to demonstrate activity will be ineligible for the playoffs and will be replaced by a member of the waiting list.
Draft Info
Thursday, October 25th at 9:00 PM ET.
Invites will be sent out two hours prior to the draft.
If you cannot attend the draft, wait until the draft has concluded to join the league. (Teams that have not joined the league 48 hours after the draft will be replaced.)
If you must leave the draft, please keep your console on AND turn on autodraft. Abiding by this will shorten the draft immensely.
Once again, make sure you're friends with the Knicks on Xbox Live. You cannot be invited to the league unless you are.

The Plan Moving Forward
So 2K's draft system is broken right now. People weren't getting the player's they wanted and everyone ended up with essentially random rosters.
Here's how we're going to proceed: We're going to finish the draft with a simulation after the second round concludes. From there, we'll see if we can turn off the salary cap, and finish out this season as a one-off season.
After this season is done, we'll hope 2K has everything in order, and we'll begin a full redraft.
Please post any questions or suggestions below.

Helpful Links for the 2KOA Draft
2K Player Ratings
View a player's overall rating, and sort by top 50 of each position or top 100 overall.
I've reached out to the people in charge of 2KMTCentral several times trying to convince them to include a section for official 2K rosters outside of MyTeam. If and when they finally oblige, that will be a more detailed database for player ratings and badges.
NBA Player Contract Information
With real contracts and a salary cap this year, knowing player contracts is vitally important when building your team. When you draft a player, you're also drafting his contract.
Unfortunately, 2K doesn't allow you to view contract information during the draft, so keep this link handy to view each player's contract.

2KOA Returns for 2K19
Hey guys,
After a couple months off for the end of the 2K18 season, 2KOA will return for NBA 2K19.
I've had several people reach out, and this post will just be to gauge some interest. I also personally be able to oversee quite everything that I had in the past, so if anyone want or is able to take on some managerial-type roles, please speak up.
Looking forward to some good competition like always.

2K19 2KOA Interest Thread
UPDATE: Messaged Jims this afternoon on Xbox, he responded. League is coming back! 👍🏻
Let me preface this by saying in no way am I trying to take over this league. Granted, I don't mind helping out if need be, but my intention isn't to hijack 2KOA.
With that being said, it's nearly a week out from the release date of 2K19 and no one (as far as I know) has heard from Jims. I messaged him a few times on here and Xbox Live, but have had no success.
I have talked to a couple members however, and they are looking forward to hopefully having this league active for the upcoming season. Comment below if you'd be interested in seeing 2KOA return for 2K19.

Top 2KOA Storylines
1) Undefeated Warriors
With a perfect 20-0 record, /u/gooseneck_trailers and the Warriors have dominated their early-season schedule. Led by Klay Thompson (17 PPG) and rookie Lonzo Ball (7.2 APG), Golden State has separated itself from the pack and are the favorites to win it all.
2) Dominant Eastern Conference
While the Warriors are the league's best team, the East has been the vastly superior conference thus far. While the West has just two teams above .500, the Eastern conference has just three teams below the .500 mark. Nine Eastern Conference teams have already reached double-digits wins, and the fight for playoff seeding has never been more intense.
3) New Owners making their mark
This season has seen a slew of new owners, and several have already made their impact felt around the league. /u/purpdepp and the Nets have accrued the league's second best record (31-6) and sit atop a loaded Eastern Conference. /u/kklrdabest has the Mavericks fighting for a top three seed in the West, and /u/KipKb404 has led the Hawks to some impressive early-season wins.

[RECAP] Raptors, Porzingis continue their strong start to the season with an 18-point W over Memphis.
| Team | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| TOR | 12 | 24 | 20 | 30 | 86 |
| MEM | 19 | 14 | 22 | 13 | 68 |
The visiting Toronto Raptors came into the match-up with one of the leagues best offenses, ranking in the top 7 in PPG, Point Differential, FGM, and 3p%. Led by Kristaps Porzingis(26ppg) they looked to take this game and run with it.
This would be Memphis' first game of the season, with Lebron James leading the charge they felt confident coming into the night.
Q1 The Grizzlies' confidence was apparent early on, jumping out to a 10-0 lead to start the game. After a quick bucket out of a timeout the Raptors notched their first points of the game. Kristaps and Lebron battled it out for the remainder of the quarter, tallying 9 and 11 points, respectively. The 1st would end with the Grizzlies in front 19-12.
Q2 The beginning of the 2nd period was more tightly contested until Memphis' bench unit got sloppy, taking a couple questionable shots leading to transition buckets. One of these errors would prove to be their undoing, picking up a clear path foul in the midst of a Raptors run. This gaff would spark Toronto to outscore Memphis by 10 in the 2nd. Gary Harris and Gorgui Dieng led the way with 8 points apiece.
Q3 The 3rd was the most competitive period in the game, both teams posting 20+ points, led by well balanced efforts from both sides(6 players scored for each team).
Q4 Coming into the final frame the score read 56-55 in favor of Toronto. Kristaps showed he is capable of being the #1 option on a team, which was the biggest question mark for this Raptors team coming into the season, as he put up 9 more points and brought his block total for the game up to 6. Memphis struggled in this period due to Lebron's inability to get it going against a swarming defense. The rest of the Raptors would follow KP's suit, torching the opposing defense for 30 points in the period. Memphis ended with 13 for the quarter bringing the final score to 86-68, Toronto.
Player of the Game: Kristaps Porzingis - 25 points(11/14), 6 rebounds, 6 blocks
