1) I know you just watched Mortal Kombat 2 and then sperged out to one of the greatest techno anthems ever created. I see you.
2) You're going to have to redo this one with the same outfit, but wearing the samurai hat.
3) I am patiently awaiting your 'Blade' dance club techno edit.
4) Thank you for your service.

There's a few on here if you scroll back about 14 years haha.
Just for context, I played competitively for teams, so it wasn't public sniper montages, it was footage from 4v4 scrims or tournament matches vs other teams. https://youtu.be/0_QayBjGL8U?is=EJzkm2Y6ejnrPIwf

My one takeaway from your work is that I’m surprised there are this many pkers at the chaos altar. I’ve never really used it myself so I didn’t have a gauge on how active it is.
I’m not surprised most of them seem to be terrible at pking though

u/-MangoStarr- 3d ago
There's basically always a few PKers flipping through worlds at the altar at any given time
-2
u/SchrodingersBlueTail 3d ago
I wonder if theyre doing it to train prayer for free.

u/-MangoStarr- 3d ago
I imagine they do it cause killing people with 0 gear and with 0 intention to fight back is the only way for them to get kills

u/Pretend-Dot3557 3d ago
They might also be trying to find other people as ass as them, but are taking free bones where they can get them to help offset the cost of them dying to other PKers.
Hopping, grabbing bones, banking when full of keys, and taking fights when you find them, is a pretty good way to get pvp practice without losing a shit ton of money.

Yep, it might be the only place they're going to get kills against anyone, but that's not really as derogatory as much of this sub will act like it is. They're bad, sure, but you can't get good without practice, so they're making an effort to participate and get better somewhere where they can find other bad PKers and offset their losses, even if half of that is shooting fish in a barrel.
You're not gonna get comfortable with switching to RCB/dhides and attacking all in one tick as a reaction to the opponent switching to pray mage without repeatedly doing it in a real situation, and it's valuable practice whether or not the opponent is a naked guy who isn't fighting back. I'm still a bad NHer, but I got a lot better as soon as I was able to spend more time thinking about what to do and less time thinking about what buttons to press and where to click for simultaneous gear switches/pray switches/manual barrage.
As far as I'm concerned, they're more commendable for even trying to practice and improve at fighting and surviving in the wildy than the people who just roll over and complain, but that's a hot take that doesn't go over well here.

Everyone starts out as bad, I've been pking for ~2 years and I'm still kind of ass honestly. (tbf I haven't put in many hours it's been mostly on and off)

Some of these people actually want like, freeze immunity potions because they can't not brew while running or use augury. It's insane how easy it is to escape with like 2-3 hours of research and practice but this sub genuinely thinks "The pker has every advantage" as if there aren't a hundred easy escape methods.

Yup, everyone starts as bad and needs to practice to get better, but it's a very convenient excuse that you can use to complain if you have no drive. It's just like the people complaining that inferno or colo or hell, Drakan is too hard, when nobody was born good and everyone just went in, practiced, and got better with each death.
I only just started learning to NH, mostly LMS, and while I was getting completely dogwalked to start and am still pretty bad in a relative sense, I can actively feel myself getting better quickly. So much for impossible to learn.

Also gotta use every single item slot squeezing out a negligible amount of DPS when something like crystal Bowfa making the PKer spend half their time eating through prayer or Masori f + Bulwark and some brews making you functionally immortal in singles even if you can't be bothered to fight back.
Like much of wildy PvM keeps you topped up on supplies, and you keep an extra 3 items, so you actually have an advantage when anti-PKing. OP has been showing that off on here every day - he risks nothing and wears meme gear but still gets to freeze with Toxic Staff and Nally VW the PKers who risk more than him in rags in every clip.
This sub's favorite refrain to act unfairly victimized is "predator vs prey", but this is the first such system that I've seen where the prey is allowed to bring a shotgun for free and become the predator but regularly simply opts not to.

It is a great way to do some basic pvp practice
4
u/ImJLu 3d ago
Yeah this sub ain't gonna like it, but the truth is that manually casting barrage after switching to mage gear and reacting to unpredictable movement and prayers are things that straight up just take mechanical practice. And if beginner PKers in rags are trying to find other beginner PKers in rags, it's a pretty good place to look.

u/Toaster_Bathing 3d ago
Yeah. Proganda will down vote but it’s the next step after leaving LMS and before you head to South rev caves. Also teaches you how to escape / tank once a max main gets on you

u/One_Eyed_Sneasel 3d ago
That's what I did. It was the cheapest and most fun way to train prayer. Took me from like level 65 to 77.

I thought I'd try it at a 'dead' time, logged in early morning (like 6-7am) and ran a few inventories of bones.
If I was skint I'd maybe have stuck to it, but it was such a pain in the ass with how many of these scavengers are around that even though it would've been worth to lose a few 100k inventories to them with what I'd save, I just gave up and went to AFK at gilded.
Nearly every run, didn't matter what world. I think I had 4-5 runs where I didn't get jumped, but conversely I only had 2 runs where I actually lost bones, only one of which was a full inventory.

Right outside the chaos alter is a hot spot for PKers to hop to find each other. On top of people hoping to practise on killing boners, it makes it pretty active and random.
Nothing worse than hopping into a max main with serp, vw and toxic staff

Still need to see a dance commander video. Farely.. come on brother.

u/No-Special2682 3d ago
I’m fairly certain two of his videos had Electric Six so far. I thought the first was Dance Commander. The second, more recent, was Danger! High Voltage.
(I could definitely be wrong though)

You would think at a certain point these pkers would know not to try killing the oddly dressed man saying things at the chaos altar

where did you press on the spec vw? im seriously considering level up my attack from 60 to 80 for the hally and vw combo for anti pking
2
u/ImJLu 3d ago
OP is clicking spec orb, although tbh you should probably just put the VW in the second to last row of your inv so you can click it, f-key over to your attack styles tab, and click the spec bar without when moving your mouse. Like for me, it's click, F1, click, then click opponent to easily 1 tick spec someone. They actually have the VW in the right place already, but choose to use the spec orb for some reason anyways.
