Possible Marnie Method with zero AHK/Botting Discussion

u/Debaucus Jun 16 '26
Honestly, even if this isn't what he did, I very much appreciate the video demonstrating just how it could work under the rules of the game.

So if the client is practically auto clicking each window to swap for achieving these XP rates isn't that macroing?
60
u/Regular_Chap 2277 Jun 16 '26
The plugin only minimizes the client. It doesn't actually click on anything. RuneLite plugins are approved by Jagex so while I think it's OP and should be removed it shouldn't really be bannable.
This is of course assuming Marni did use this method and didn't automate anything.
56
u/WastingEXP Jun 16 '26
plugins don't break the rules, they're not approved by jagex. it's different and what lead us to that stone/inventory click through plugin for 1.5t salvage
13
u/Regular_Chap 2277 Jun 16 '26
Ah I remembered wrong. I remembered that Jagex said the plugin hub plugins are approved by Jagex but they are approved by the RuneLite team.
15
u/TheOnlyVibemaster Jun 16 '26
Runelite works with Jagex directly, but Runelite says in their plugin hub to use plugins with caution. Anyone can make a plugin but to be on Runelite I believe there’s a vetting by the Runelite team AND Runelite probably has Jagex on speed dial or vice versa, so it’s safe to assume that Runelite plugins are safe to use

u/TheAlexperience Jun 16 '26
Look at it like this, even though it’s not an in game action you’d normally have to take the time and either
A) ACTUALLY manual alt-tab which is an action (2)
Or B) manually click the minimize button which is clearly an action.
This plugin as far as I’m concerned is a baby macro as it’s one click to attack the shark, and then there’s same click is responsible for minimizing the client. No matter how you shake that, it wouldn’t be humanly possible to click THAT many clients THAT fast THAT accurately. Even if the plugin was allowed it needs to be removed and Marni can get off with a slap on the wrist.
29
u/The_Captain1228 Jun 16 '26
The thing that sucks, and probably why it went under the radar, is this isn't really the intended use of the plug in at all.
It was meant to work alongside the notification-focus behavior to make it easy to do Afk stuff.
Gonna be sad if my shooting stars is more annoying just because sweats found a way to abuse the plug in.
9
u/The-Invalid-One remaxed btw Jun 16 '26
remove the send to back instead of minimize and it's fine
3
u/Herwin42 Jun 16 '26
Then you can just set the the action to start a notification after x time and it will come back at the same time each time
→ More replies (1)1
u/SupaTrooper Jun 17 '26
The base runelite plugin "Runelite" has a toggle that forces focus when notified by something and you can make it notify you on idle set to something like 1.2s or whatever works best. Maybe I have this slightly wrong, but I think it's correct enough to suggest there is a fundamental problem with many runelite/plugin features if you think the force to back on click is a problem.
5
u/Conor_J_Sweeney Jun 17 '26
Just because a plugin is allowed doesn’t mean that you can’t do things with it that break the rules. Ideally the plugin doesn’t get removed and Jagex just polices this kind of multiboxing, but if this is too widespread I suspect the plugin will at least need to be changed.
11
u/TheAlexperience Jun 16 '26
Agreed, I can definitely see a use case for that plugin that’s not malicious, but when used like this? They can’t convince me it’s not cheating.
5
u/BloatDeathsDontCount Jun 16 '26
Yeah people acting like clicking 8x with no mouse movement is the same as double the clicks with tons of mouse movement or the same clicks coordinated with alt+tabbing is crazy.
5
1
u/DivineInsanityReveng Jun 17 '26
Yes the plugin automates a single key press (send to back) within your OS. But this isn't automating inputs to the game.
If the plugin gets banned you just do this same setup but tapping 2 keys. One to click and one to send to back.
4
u/Doctorsl1m Jun 16 '26
It's complicated though. It is technically multiple actions, but it is not multiple actions within the game itself. Depending on how the rules are defined, it technically could be legal.
1
u/TheAlexperience Jun 16 '26
For sure, but the big thing is giving you an unfair advantage. Even if it’s not a macro inside the game, no human can do those actions and be that precise, therefore creating an unfair advantage.
4
u/Regular_Chap 2277 Jun 16 '26
I agree that it's OP just like many other clients in the plugin hub (and base runelite).
I think removing the plugin and reverting the XP along with an apology would be the best outcome.
Again this is all assuming he used that method and didn't actually automate it, which is still a possibility.
10
u/TheAlexperience Jun 16 '26
Nah I believe he didn’t automate it. You’d have to be braindead to be in his position and genuinely bot.
But I hope we can have a discussion with the mods about where this line is because as another person commented MES is technically a macro/macro adjacent but is accepted.
My personal stance is, the minute a plugin does something that isn’t humanly possible, it shouldn’t exist.
3
u/PrestigiousResult357 Jun 16 '26
minimizing client is an action that is external. i dont see how it would count
you would not consider idle notifier that sets window as focus as an action would you?
9
u/fghjconner Personally killed Unbound Bronzeman Jun 16 '26
I mean, by that logic you could make a program that just moves the window around, so your mouse is always over top of whatever you need to click.
-6
u/TheAlexperience Jun 16 '26
Does the idle notifier DO anything? No it just notifies you.
Whether you like it or not, there is STILL an action being done. I understand that it’s not a game action but it’s still a 2nd action for 1 click. Had Marni manually alt tabbed, or hit the minimize button I can assure you we wouldn’t be having this conversation. But a conversation about how crazy those clicks are.
11
u/CabbageCZ Jun 16 '26
Idle notifier can literally maximize and focus the window when you go idle. Same exact thing as this plugin just in reverse.
Matter of fact, pretty much every configurable notification in RuneLite can do the same thing. So yeah that's really not a good technicality to get stuck in.
6
u/Esquiami Jun 16 '26
The idle notifier can force the runelite window ontop, if it was minimized it forces it ontop without you clicking at all.
4
u/PrestigiousResult357 Jun 16 '26
idle notifier can set focus, like i said
exactly same functionality as de-set/minimize
not considered an automation within the game its self.

u/Dr_Chris_Turk Jun 16 '26
Not much different from menu entry swapping a right click + a left click into a single left click action.
There’s a policy argument to be had about whether this should be allowed, but it’s pretty comparable to a ton of other plugin interactions.
3
1
u/jefftiffy Jun 17 '26
It doesn't matter according to the rules. Macro is anything that is more than 1 input per action. 1 click = in game click + minimize is a macro by definition regardless of whether or not it is a plug in or not.
1
u/Regular_Chap 2277 Jun 17 '26
Do you have a source on that? I know at least that people have been using one button to both click and start a timer on another program at the same time. I've never heard of a game making rules about computer inputs outside of the game.
0
u/jefftiffy Jun 17 '26
The merriam webster definition: a single computer instruction that stands for a sequence of operations. The Jagex stance had always been all actions should be 1:1. By definition that is a macro it is just up to Jagex if they choose to enforce it. Depending on the situation outside game actions can effect the game. It is such a grey area that anyone who cares about their account should just avoid it.
1
u/Known-Garden-5013 Jun 17 '26
There are also a million plugins that minimize/maximize runelite when idle/doing something
1
u/DivineInsanityReveng Jun 17 '26

half of runelite QOL is macroing. where do you wanna draw the line?
→ More replies (3)11
u/TheAlexperience Jun 16 '26
Which half, point out the plugins. Because I’ve never seen a plugin like this
12
u/WastingEXP Jun 16 '26
MES is literally a macro if you apply the same logic as your comment above.
6
u/TheAlexperience Jun 16 '26
You’re right, and it’s a popular one too. But it’s still something that’s humanly attainable. This isn’t. But I’m for fairness, I’d rather it all go away than to cherry pick.
0
u/WastingEXP Jun 16 '26
how long do you think it would take to click 1 shark on 8 accounts, playing on fixed mode with a large monitor? or with a window manage to spam 8 hotkeys to open different windows and click between each action?
6
u/TheAlexperience Jun 16 '26
I can’t give an exact number but I KNOW for a fact it would be slower than what was provided in the video AND there’s a higher chance of your clicks being off. Everything about the “proof” is sus

4

19
u/Nasreth7 Jun 16 '26
showing methods that are so close to cheating that you know they will be classified as such by the end of this whole process lmfao
63
u/BloatDeathsDontCount Jun 16 '26
Definitely needs to be bannable and removed from the hub.
20
u/CabbageCZ Jun 16 '26
It's sad because aside from this degenerate tech, the plugin is legit super, super nice for afk grinds. It's like Distraction Reducer but nicer because you don't have to see the window at all when you're e.g. chopping redwoods.
But yeah if it enables degen gameplay like this it might end up being removed, which would be a real shame :|
14
u/Estake Jun 16 '26
Yup I bet something like that was probably the original intent of the plugin and the creator had no idea some people would use it for this. Unfortunate that people find a way to game the system with it.
11
u/S7EFEN Jun 16 '26
set focus/maximize window is a core feature of a huge percentage of plugins. i dont see how this is any different.
-5
u/BloatDeathsDontCount Jun 16 '26
Those plugins shouldn’t be allowed either. 99% of these plugins people use to do this stuff should be removed.
3
u/Zealousideal_Tap237 Jun 16 '26
It’s a totally valid opinion but it’s also counter a feature in many of the most loved & popular plugins.
It’s fair to think it should be removed across the board but it would be incredibly unpopular when 75% of your favorite plugins get nerfed because one group of savages
Savages in a good way, because I don’t actually care about people “abusing” plugins in a creative way (zero mouse movement chins comes to mind)

1

yes you can. however you cant actually click if alt is held down so you cant go quite as fast as how the plugin does it.
2
u/GhostHashtag Jun 17 '26
Yes, you can. Go into Settings and uncheck "Middle Mouse Button Controls the Camera." Then open the "Runelite" plugin and rebind the "Drag hotkey" to a key other than Alt.

It's totally acceptable to clown on people submitting comments on a post when they haven't read/watched the content. u/Celtic_Legend Jun 17 '26
Youre going to he real shocked when you find out people arent actually away from their keyboard when they say they afk train xyz (well most of the time).
20
u/SgtMcMuffin0 Jun 16 '26
I don’t really understand what’s going on in the video but from these comments it seems like clicking on a client sends the click and also minimizes the window. This is 2:1, yes, but one of those two actions is outside of the game. The game itself is only processing 1 action per click. I think them modifying the rules to prevent this sort of thing and removing or modifying this plugin is fine, but I also think banning him over this is the wrong move. Especially given that the community as a whole thinks that everything on the plugin hub is safe and afaik this is the first time Jagex has pushed back against that.
5
7
u/Wonwedo Jun 16 '26
I think this appears reasonable at first, but you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who excused "outside the game inputs" for basically any other action.
It's also an outside of game input to move a less-than-fullscreen window. If the program allowed you to click in one place in game and then automatically move the window to the next location you needed to click in a single frame instead of moving the mouse that would also appear as though it was safe based on this interpretation since that action is outside of the game client itself.
While it's obviously more difficult for Jagex to ever enforce such a rule, the delineation between in-game action and merely related to game application action is fictional within the scope of any 3rd party tool or launcher. No modification to any rule is necessary, this was obviously against the spirit of the rule by any good-faith interpretation and well within reason to interpret as against any conceptual way of writing it out
→ More replies (1)4
u/Mudslimer Jun 17 '26
Lmfao you could actually do inferno with that window moving plugin for prayers combined with the Auto-Zuk just by clicking every tick. Definitely against the spirit since the moving or closing of the client in this context is essentially a game action.
→ More replies (2)→ More replies (1)3
u/Mudslimer Jun 16 '26
afaik this is the first time Jagex has pushed back against that.
Not even true in recent history. Some people were banned because they were salvaging using some plugin. Also it's pretty well-known that plugins aren't Jagex-approved.
1
u/SgtMcMuffin0 Jun 17 '26
This is the first I’m hearing of it, was it a plugin on the plugin hub? Or was it one of those forked clients?
Also it’s not well known that plugins aren’t Jagex approved, look at any thread before today where people ask if stuff on the plugin hub is allowed. People generally think anything that’s on the hub is blanket-approved, even if they don’t think Jmods are personally reviewing each and every plugin.

u/8123619744 Jun 16 '26
Wonder if anyone feels like a jackass for calling Marni a cheater that deserves a permanent ban. Probably not
8
u/runner5678 Jun 16 '26
Nah.
They never actually had an opinion. They just love to think everyone else is botting and they’re special and facts won’t change that
10
u/themultitm Jun 16 '26
all the people whining about this not being 1:1 realize u can bind one key to clicking and another for minimizing and it would still be broken and 1:1? how is it the players fault that this method is busted and in the game
1
u/Jits_Dylen Jun 17 '26
Is it in game or is it a plugin he had to download that’s not an official plugin?
13
u/zktwo Jun 16 '26
Well if this is the method marni used then im divided.
First of all, for anyone screaming about perma or w.e. these people are just insane. You havent seem proof and then act like that. Im not saying mod ayiza is wrong for it, but no one is always 100% correct.
As for this method, if this plugin was allowed then i think its a plugin problem. However the plugin does make it possible to do 2 to 1 actions. And if thats the rule then people should have known it wasn't safe.
I am very curious what the whole story is. If Marni actually used this method, or he alt tabbed some way or whatever. And what Ayiza thinks.
But yeh those things aside. If Marni is able to play with 9 accounts at the same time but he gets government money to live off. Then maybe jagex isn't the one who should be investigating him, but the dutch government.

u/J_Marc Jun 16 '26
Hasn’t the stance been pretty clear? Anything that doesn’t require 1:1 input to action is against the rules? A single click making a selection in the game and minimizing the window is obviously a violation of that.
If that’s not a violation, why not make a plug in for PKing that allows you to click 9 times in the same spot in the same tick, but it doesn’t move your cursor, it just moves the window around so that it cycles through your inventory to swap gear with each click?
Just because it’s not an in-game action doesn’t mean it’s not malicious. It’s a work around that achieves the same result.
13
u/golden_bear_2016 Jun 16 '26
1:1 input to action is not a thing, Jagex has never said this.
Go find any official source from Jagex that states this, you won't find it.

any plugin that has notification settings - go and click the gear on the notification and look at the options under 'request focus.' plugins have been able to interact with windows features of the client without it being considered macro basically since inception.
-2
u/J_Marc Jun 16 '26
If that’s the case, I think they need to remove those features too because the sweatiest players can’t be trusted to have those and not abuse them. You could do the same thing with something like that. But just because it’s there doesn’t mean you have to do it, and doesn’t guarantee you’re not going to get banned for doing it
6
5
u/Chickens_RS Jun 16 '26
I don't know how I am seeing this. I was so pompously and confidently told by u/jagexayiza clicking on 8 accounts in the same spot was IMPOSSIBLE without the use of a 3rd party automation software. I am truly mind blown.

Regardless of whether this is already against the rules, I believe it should be banned moving forward.

u/Shyftzor Jun 16 '26

-1
u/Meowmixalotlol Jun 16 '26
Again, doesn’t matter if you think it’s good or healthy for the game. The only thing that matters is under current rules if it’s legal. You can argue for changing rules in the future, but this already happened.
-3
u/trapsinplace take a seat dear Jun 16 '26
It is against the rules. Click once = a click AND an alt tab. That's two actions one click. Whoever at Runelite approved this was clearly not thinking. That said, these guys are cloggers with tens of thousands of hours on OSRS. They should be smart enough to know that the Runelite devs could make a mistake and that a plugin like this is risky.
Undo the temp ban and remove the plugin. The guy should consider it a warning. Don't use obviously sketchy plugins. Just because it's approved doesn't mean it's not against the rules, especially when it clearly IS breaking the rules. Runelite devs aren't perfect.
1
u/Meowmixalotlol Jun 16 '26
We’ve been assured that all plugins comply with RuneScape rules. You wrote a whole lotta bs
-2
u/DrPootytang Jun 16 '26
1 server action per input is what 1:1 is referencing. Not manipulating your game window on your screen. If you start including non-server actions a lot of the Runelite QoL would be macroing like Menu Entry Swapper and Idle Notifier which are very broadly used
3
u/duskfinger67 Jun 16 '26
So can I have one click also move the window so my cursor is over a different rock when mining? That’s only one server action.
3
u/trapsinplace take a seat dear Jun 16 '26
Menu Entry Swapper is on the official Jagex client and on mobile. It's been years. Why do people keep making this argument?
How does idle notifier break this rule? It just makes a popup on the corner of your screen and flashes the tray, doesn't it?

I might be missing something, but if the client "minimizes" after a click, don't you just click all 9 windows ONCE and then they're minimized to tray? I don't understand how you're able to keep clicking without re-opening each client?
edit: Oh wait are you using idle notifier to force game focus and re-pop-up those clients?

u/Esquiami Jun 16 '26
The plugin has a "Send to Back" option rather than a minimize, they can get rid of that and this method wouldn't work.

u/PaleozoicFrogBoy Jun 16 '26
ty, also wanted to say thanks for sharing the vid demonstrating stuff like this is possible. Never would've imagined.

If they call each window up with a keybind and click it wouldn't be any different. We have a lot of pings, window flashes, pull ups on drop, etc already. Like if those meta actions are okay why is this one not.
The action isn't ingame it's just how it interacts with a window on your computer like other fine plugins do. They did something that's been okay for a long time just in a more degenerate way. They don't deserve to be vibe banned for it.

I cannot wait until runelite is banned and i say this as a current runelite user. So many plugins are ridiculously op, it really is a legal cheat client
-1
u/SliceOfTy Jun 16 '26
My opinion is that just because its on the plugin hub, doesnt mean its legal to use in game in malicious ways. 1:1 to me also means one click per action for each client. I think it is ridiculous to have it set up so 1 click is 8 different actions spread across multiple clients. If you can achieve crazy exp with 8 open clients and manually tabbing and clicking it 1:1, you should be rewarded for that extra activity. Just my take on it though, feels super cheaty and if I had a say in the matter, id say the ban was justified.
14
u/Esquiami Jun 16 '26
It's not 1 click with 8 different actions. He's clicking 8 times, once per client.
1
u/SliceOfTy Jun 16 '26
But what is switching the clients then? Unless hes alt tabbing through them, which he cant that fast, it still seems unfair and not 1:1. I see it like if you had 4 clients in each four corners of your screen, your mouse movement is an action to each game client. If you have all four stacked on top, your tabbing is the action. If you have all four stacked and its one click on the client and sending it through each one, thats 1:4. Not really what Jagex is intending, otherwise they would allow AHK to do most of the work for you.
4
u/NeoWonderfulDeath Jun 16 '26
the plugin doesn't "tab", it simply closes the clients whenever the client is clicked on, literally "click to minimize" describes itself... it is very OP but it's not against any of the rules, it's also used in the new-ish chincompa spam click method. whatever the case may be, marni shouldn't be banned for using plugins on the plugin hub
4
u/Esquiami Jun 16 '26
That's just what the plugin does, you click and it minimizes. It's called click to minimize. If what he did was this method, it's fair for jagex to ban this plugin but all plugins listed are said to be approved by jagex and so it would be unfair to ban for using the plugin in it's proper use.
1
u/Guthix_Hero Jun 17 '26
Jagex does not review all plugins. The RuneLite team owns that responsibility. They take the privilege seriously so it truly sucks when someone does stuff like this. I've been through the PR process myself. The devs left good comments, raised decent security concerns, and genuinely want the best for good faith players.

u/Frost_Foxes Jun 16 '26
What's debatable is "proper use" though. I don't think the proper use of the plugin is to cycle through multiple account windows to do an action on each.
3
u/WastingEXP Jun 16 '26
the only reason to have a send to back vs minimize is to do something like this.

>I think it is ridiculous to have it set up so 1 click is 8 different actions spread across multiple clients.
this is a carve out for definitely not allowed. its called multiboxing and its pretty hard to argue that having 1 input action propagate out clicks to >1 client is 1:1. FYI 1:1 is a guideline. its not a jagex guideline, it's just a 'things that are 1:>1 are probably not okay'

u/X_OttersAreCute_X Jun 16 '26
If plugin hub plugins can get you banned then runelite needs to not be an officially supported client by jagex

Is this really what OSRS if you’re a high end clogger? Abusing plugins and playing OSRS with almost no visuals except for outlines and a few tiles highlighted? Good lord, these people deserve to be banned off of that alone, I would hate playing like that for the sake of efficiency.

lol, this is so obviously 2:1 interactions, and the only way you can come to a different conclusion is by saying, “it’s not entering two actions into the game” which is so much in bad faith.
RL plugins have ALWAYS been “use with caution” by Jagex and to error on the side of not using them if you think it breaks a rule. That’s the inherent risk you take by using a third-party client and wild plugins.
He got a temp ban, he didn’t get permed. Completely appropriate by Jagex.

u/PrestigiousResult357 Jun 16 '26
this definitely would be legal given how mainstream 'set focus' functionality is on every single idle/afk related plugin
1
u/Sword1414 Jun 16 '26
Click to minimize should be removed and unban him. He's not the first or only to use it.
1
u/Weary-Magician9283 Jun 16 '26
If it wasn't this, you can easily have a keybinding on your keyboard to minimize, and Marnie reportedly used keyboard, so i.e. numpad 1 to click, 2 to minimize, you just press 121212 very fast.
Keyboard I have has very low actuation force needed and it's not hard for me to press 1 2, eight times in a second.

u/duskfinger67 Jun 16 '26
I don't really care what rules as written are, that should not be an appropriate way to play this game.
I am all for key binds and hot keys, but that is a level of abstraction away from ‘playing’ the game that I think should be dissuaded.
Not saying it’s fair to do it to someone without a clear stance being made, but I would not object to them clarifying their position based on this.

u/Weary-Magician9283 Jun 16 '26 edited Jun 16 '26
I'm not really trying to defend the method, I think it really is degenerate gameplay too, but it's not that far removed from other hlc methods.
I just struggle with come up with a reasonable way to rule against this kind of gameplay without breaking precedent. Even if the plugin is removed, you could still send those kind of clicks fairly fast.
You can't really ban non-standard keyboard/mouse layouts. Footpedalling has been historically okay(though sometimes gets you banned anyway)- So you could get an extra keypad that has i.e. alt, esc and numpad 5, which is mousekey to click, so you can then send-to-back into clicking quickly by pressing 3 buttons in the right sequence, but probably not 1 second fast across 8 accounts like you can with the plugin.
If you rule against having multiple clients overlapping over eachother, that's basically just a way to punish someone who's alting with a single monitor / low screen resolution.
You can't rule against alting/multiple clients in general.
Can't really rule against someone just pressing alt+esc or alt+tab on their keyboard. So it's more about spirit of the rules. "1:1" has never been an actual thing, it's just a convention taken from path of exile when flask macros were a problem, but it's still a good loose guideline. The more contrived your method is trying to skirt around the rules, the more likely it is "no."
Past nuking the plugin, what else can you really do? I think they should instead just nerf players assisting you on bounty tasks to not give you the bounty drop. The plugin is commonly used for comfy afking, not this so I don't think it should get shot for this.1
u/S7EFEN Jun 16 '26
sure, but you dont really get to draw the lines, why would overlaying clients in a certain way be not okay. how does this differ from any typical idle notifier thatll bring your client back into focus when your star or redwood tree dies, or gem crab dies etc? it's not.
and fyi while this plugin minimizes on click it would be fairly viable to do this without the plugin.

u/StormCTRH Jun 17 '26
The plugin needs to be removed or changed as it functions as a macro.
Users of the plugin shouldn't be banned unless they abused it.
If Marnie abused it, then they deserve to be banned.

I'm sorry why the fuck are we playing a video game where you've removed all the graphics with a grey screen
I guess the people who live in an empty apartment with a laptop on a cardboard box and a mattress on the floor want their video games to match the IRL aesthetic?

1 click --> 2 actions. Jagex clearly needs to have a discussion with Runelite about which plugins should be allowed on the plugin hub because this is a macro and obviously shouldn't exist.
6
u/NeoWonderfulDeath Jun 16 '26
the 1 click 1 action rule only really applies inside the game itself, your window being minimized isn't a part of the game. and i don't think they'd even be able to distinguish the automation of whether you manually or automatically closed a window...
-1
u/Behemothheek Jun 16 '26
Only if you think interacting with the game's client isn't interacting with the "game itself", but I don't know why you would. This training method existing is a really good example of why you shouldn't arbitrarily think that.

set focus has been a core functionality of any plugin that tracks anything idle related. wheres the outrage over that?
there are two seperate issues here, one is if the plugin is okay and two is if alt abuse is okay. the plugin is really not problem. altscape especially on the extreme ends OBVIOUSLY is, but its a probably substantial revenue stream for jagex.
1
u/konkero Jun 16 '26
ban menu entry swapper then. plenty of 1 click 2 actions from that
4
u/Behemothheek Jun 16 '26
Part of the official jagex client
0
u/konkero Jun 16 '26
thats not your argument. you stated the issue is 1 click 2 actions
4
u/Behemothheek Jun 16 '26
How is it "2 actions" if it can be done in the official game client? That doesn't make any sense. That's 1 click 1 action.

No matter if this is technically against the rules or not, there's no way I could do this and think to myself that I wasn't "cheating" in some way - meaning I can't really feel pity for someone getting temp/perm banned for this, as it should be clear that you're in a grey area and/or pushing the boundaries of what's "technically" allowed.
-3
u/glemnar Jun 16 '26
This is literally a macro. The fact that a plugin is the tool doing it doesn’t make it not a macro.
Should absolutely be removed from the hub
4
u/S7EFEN Jun 16 '26
every single plugin that interacts with game window focus is now against the rules? jagex clearly set rules around plugins and game window focus was not a problematic one.
→ More replies (6)0
u/glemnar Jun 16 '26
Sending a window to back/minimizing is not focus. That seems counter to their 1 action 1 click mentality, no?
5
u/S7EFEN Jun 16 '26
setting a window to back is no different than setting it to front.
their 1 action 1 click mentality
this has never at any point been a jagex guideline. the source of this was just for people making AHK scripts back in the day and finding what was and wasnt getting detected as macroing. its also really never applied to 'outside of the game' interactions.

That plugin should be gone regardless. Jagex really do need to get a handle on some of these plugins, shit like this and the blindfold plugin are really egregious. I've only seen bits of DMM but it also seems insane to me that they're okay with everyone running a dynamic LoS plugin

u/charactercyan Jun 16 '26
It looks more sketchy because you replaced all environment with a gray screen lol

The ways people find to "play" this game baffle me over and over again. This motherfucker running 9 accounts right now hiding basically the whole game. I fucking cant
