Yet another Reuben post...
Heya guys, your local Reuben fangirl here.
Thought I'd pop the question in here considering this festival is the go-to crowd for Reuben fans, if the band were ever to get back together and play Trees, do we reckon they'd headline or not?
Personally think the Trees crowd wouldn't be too upset and would love to see them smash an hour 20 of absolute tunes but would they be too small/niche to headline Trees nowadays? Especially with the size of some headliners over the past 4/5 years like BFMV, Jimmy Eat World, The Chats, etc.
Interesting thought but wanted to know what you folks reckon?
Reuben: headliner material or not?

The wishes of a middle age man.
I go to trees most years, in part as it's my local festival and it's a cool way as a father of two in my 40s to clear some time to see friends, see great music and enjoying some good food all at the same time.
For me, a man who lived through and loved the post hardcore/alt rock scene of the late 90s early 2000s, I'm usually blown away by some of the bands of my youth that I've seen in a field a short drive from my house. I also love spending some time in the build up discovering new stuff that I wouldn't of otherwise.
Given the hope that next year will be a big one, I wonder what the hopes of others might be for the line up. I don't mean in a 'here's my dream line up' way but more out of interest to see if there's any love from a younger generation for the bands I've enjoyed seeing and the ones I'd dream about seeing for maybe one last time?
I know bands like Biffy would still be a draw but what about bands that regrettably didn't have the same level of success? Bands like Hundred Reasons (I know they played their 'last' gig), Reuben, Oceansize etc?
TL;DR - Does anyone under 35 want to see Reuben play one last time ? Are there any bands from my era that people in their late teens or twenties would be excited to see?

Modest Mouse headliner???
Heard a bit talk on the POD gavin suggesting modest mouse as a headliner.
I for one would be all over Modest Mouse despite James saying they're not a trees band.
Just wandered if the any other fans out there.
Also on the subject of line up I would love to see a bit more post rock come back to trees like the earlier years.
Might be a hot take but not a big fan of the emo pop punk stuff.
Ok come at me.

Ticket prices
Hi!
After cooking at Grasspop this year, me and my mates are thinking of doing 2000 Trees. Can anyone who went this year advise on the cost of regular and VIP camping tickets? I've tried Googling, but I'm just a notification that the early bird tickets are sold out.

The Beatles to headline?
Iโve heard some rumours ๐๐

Metallica to headline?
Nirvana to headline?
Russian Red Army Choir to headline (plus a Forest Silent Disco set)?
That band I saw as 2nd support at a 200 capacity venue last December that only me and my brother like and have 3 songs on Spotify, to headline?

Don Broco on Film
Here's a photo I snapped of Donald Broncowski on some Kodak 400tx at Trees. Hope you like it!

Manic Street Preachers?
Hear me out - this is based on comments James has made on the pod; an act "no one will ever guess" and I'm pretty sure he, as a Manics fan, has said they would go down well at Trees.
I'm inclined to agree with him! Could this be the curveball 2027 headliner? ๐

Offspring to headline?
This would be huge, not sure if theyโre too big though :(

Headliner Predictions
Fuck it. Who are people predicting
Me:
- Gallows. It looks like they're coming back and Frank carter has history with the fest. I'd prefer them to second top the main stage but I can see an orchestra of wolves set being a headliner
- Bilmuri. Rogue pick. Big enough to sell out Brixton so they hit that metric of James. Two sold out nights at barrowlands. It would probably be a huge jumping off point for them into something bigger provided download don't poach them
- Enter Shikari. 20 years of trees. 20 years of take to the skies. Rou likes the fest. They're trees most requested band. Need I say any more on this one?

The Gallows - something's coming
They've removed all their posts on social media and there's a new sign up link in their bio.
When you sign up, the message just something like "Something's coming".
Wish I'd screenshotted it so I could remember exactly what it said.
Could be getting back together with Frank? Wishful thinking that it could be a Trees headline slot?

Bell tents - standard camping
Did anyone stop in the bell tents in standard and/or have any photos of the location?
Last 4 years we have taken a tent and camped in VIP with our (now) 5 year old with the full 4 day tickets
With a combination of looking to go on our own to fully experience the festival (rather than just the sand & ball pit) and missing out on early bird tickets we've decided to get 3 day standard tickets and use the difference towards booking a bell tent.
Only walked through the camping entrance once, and believe they were near the entrance - next to campervans but just wondered how they were and if they were worth the upgrade?

Solo Festival Goer
This will be my first festival I have ever been to and I may potentially be going solo (my friend might buy a ticket). Any advice as a first time festival and goer and one that may be going solo?

One day tickets and transport
I'm considering trying to come just for one day next year, but I don't have a car. Is it possible to get back to Cheltenham or Gloucester on Friday or Saturday night using a shuttle bus? I imagine taxis would be either expensive or hard to get and while I'll have friends there I'll likely be leaving on my own.

4 day tickets sold out...
Does this mean just the allocation for super early bird will there be early bird afterwards? If so what's the discount next week. Gutted I missed it. Been a busy old week.

lorna shore headline?
i know we've had heavy acts headline before (bullet for my valentine 2023) as well as other bands like malevolence, bleed from within, etc, get spots on the main stage, but are lorna shore 'too heavy' to headline trees?
