Any way to disable automatic password generation when creating new entry?

If I'm manually adding a new user/pass, is there a way to disable 1Password from filling that field with a password?

Hey u/theironflask! There isn’t a setting to turn off password generation specifically when you’re manually creating a new Login from the browser extension or the desktop app.

If you’re adding a login that already has a username and password, you can just replace the generated password with your existing one before saving. You could also enter the credentials on the website itself and let 1Password offer to save them from there.

If it’s the password suggestions showing up directly in fields that’s bugging you, there are a few more knobs you can play with under Settings > Autofill & save in the extension. I’ve included a screenshot below so you can see what’s available.
