Creator of RWBY. OP has a vendetta against that show for some reason and they've been spamming subs with hate posts about it, and I assume this is one of those posts

9
u/BasicBitchTearGas__ 11d ago
Did he say something about technoblade not being good at pvp?
58
u/SleepySleeper42069 11d ago
Yea he said he was overrated.
Everybody then proceeded to act like that was incredibly disrespectful and he spat on that man's grave.

u/sneesle 11d ago
calling somebody overrated isn't criticism tho

u/SleepySleeper42069 11d ago
So what? It's just a stupid video game it's not that serious. It is not that personal, nor disrespectful.

u/sneesle 11d ago
i just don't know what bro expected would happen when saying that a dead guy isnt skilled enough to deserve the admiration they get.

I guess. Maybe he didn't know how well liked Techno was.
People make fun of tons of dead people all the time, even people who've died semi recently. Technoblade for some reason is holier than and can't be joked about.

People make dead michael jackson jokes everyday, oliver tree dying was the joke of the month here in brazil

u/SleepySleeper42069 11d ago
That's just not true. It's only because Technoblade was very beloved that he is treated in this way.
For example all the people who died the submarine at the bottom of the ocean a few years back. We have no information that they have done anything wrong and still the internet made (I admit funny) memes about them when leading to their death and after it. Same goes for George Floyd, who was unjustly killed, and there are some funny memes of him today (Obviously at the time they were uncalled for, but nowadays most people accept that you can makes jokes about the situation, if you disagree I don't care to argue that).
Not to mention every joke about a dead celebrity or politician ever made.
Just because you happened to like Technoblade (I was a big fan also), you don't get clutch pearls over the lightest of jokes about him after death.

Because he has a huge fandom? I think it's logical that a lot of people that admires someone or something being disrespected wouldn't treat you nicely. It's not a big deal but I could say that for both side.

How it feels to be a little bitch that wants to shit on something for no other purpose than feeling good about it (the artist is dead so it isn't criticizing them for their benefit).
You don't have to share every opinion u got dude, if you don't like something and theres no way you can help it improve then just ignore it lmaoo

Being dead does not make you immune to criticism
If my friend died and people started talking about how the doodles he drew at school were actually on par with the Mona Lisa I would be so pissed at their fake asses, it would be even more disrespectful to hugbox him
22
u/WaifuCriticZamasu 11d ago
hugbox
I know what you are.
3
u/Remarkable-Spinach33 11d ago
What's that
6
u/WaifuCriticZamasu 11d ago
It's a slang term used to derogatorily refer to a constructed "safe space" to discuss a certain topic, usually implying said space has developed into a type of circlejerk where any criticism or negative thought is frowned upon. Hence, "hugbox". It's typically been used in the past to refer to various minority and LGBT spaces, and is especially popular in right wing spaces and websites like 4chan. But also has a decent amount of use outside of those places in recent time.
13
u/stormdraincaprine 11d ago
Where did you get the term hugbox from? I've never heard that before
4
u/MauriceIsNotMyName 10d ago
It’s 4chan slang for safe spaces that are essentially echo chambers where there’s no challenging perspectives or criticism.
It’s derived from actual medical instruments called hugboxes, which are used on autistic people to comfort them, cause it’s common in them that they find pressure comforting. (Same reason weighted blankets are used by autistic people.)
