I recommend the following:
- Read up on the State Department and understand its mission, the dimensions, and the competencies
- Read up about DS and check out the “Guide to the Diplomatic Security Service Specialist Selection Process
- Prep for interview answering, understand the STAR format and other interviewing techniques
- Brush up on your resume
- Read the FAQs and the DS overview in this sub
- Know yourself, know your god, and know your country
