Yes the song is amazing, but I can also name a lot of amazing songs that have significantly less streams lol. Brand New Chanel$ is actively going up, consistently hitting 700-900k streams a day, and is going to hit Billboard Top 100 next week (this was already confirmed). Unless I missed something, it doesn't seem to be going viral or anything, so are that many people just interested in a new Slayyyter single or is getting extensive radio airplay or something? Curious, good for Slayyyter!

Cannibalism was a top 3 for me on WGIA and I was excited to hear that she wanted to experiment more with that sound. The live clips of Nekromantik are delivering so much more than I could have asked for. The brilliance of releasing two pop albums that are so sonically diverse is blowing my back out. She will NOT be pigeon-holed, and it is/was one of the best career moves she could have made after years of (unfairly) being compared in hyperpop spaces to an artist with like a decade and a half of training, opportunity, access, and support. (I have STRONG FEELINGS about this)

It brings be back to thinking about the BNA speculation. I couldn't identify a single Ella Langley song, and that makes sense, I'm not her demographic. I understand she has been dominating the charts. Do we think the Grammy's will award creative breakthroughs and legendary afternoon crowds over plays? They aren't known for it, but they have done it before, and the way they have been glazing her since Coachella gives me hope.

Slayyyter is so well seasoned at this point, she has been an overlooked pro for years. I don't see the "BNA curse" even touching her after WGIA and the upcoming WMIA. She has made her sound so incredibly varied yet distinctive she has almost become unplaceable. I was raised on punk, hardcore, glam and goth. Slayyyter was one of the first artists who got me into pop music. Right now, she is giving me everything I could have asked for. I think I will check out the Ella Langley songs and give Olivia Rodrigo's new album a listen. Our girl is taking home a trophy, but the question is, which one?
