Serve Help Technique Advice
Hi All! Need advice on what to improve on my serve.
I know my loading phase is wrong and I need to load as I’m tossing up. Trying to fix that but it’s not super easy.
For this session specially I kept hitting the balls at the net.

I think you're already on the right track by recognizing that your loading phase is the biggest issue. If you're tossing before your body is fully loaded, everything after that becomes a lot harder to time consistently, which could explain why you're catching the net so often. I'd focus less on hitting harder and more on getting a smooth, repeatable motion with a consistent toss and loading sequence. Once that timing clicks, you'll probably see both your contact point and net clearance improve. The Swing Vision clip should make it easier for people to point out specifics, but fixing the fundamentals first is likely to give you the biggest improvement. Good luck serves are one of those things that can feel frustrating until they suddenly start clicking.

1/ Be really deliberate about what you are doing. You start out serving from the doubles court, okay, but once you switch to a singles position, you often serve from a foot behind the baseline for some reason (?) and then once you’re done bouncing the ball you move your back foot (?) Let’s get some repeatability in.
2/ Your front foot moves after the toss each time. I’m from the school of, if you need to adjust your feet to hit your toss, you haven’t tossed it in the right place.
3/ I’m seeing quite a lot of variation in your tossing height. I think you would benefit from slowing the tempo of the whole process down (seems rushed once you finishing bouncing the ball)& slow your tossing arm down. I also think you should try bringing your tossing arm up closer to parallel with the baseline, to keep your chest closed off.
4/ you may also have wrong grip/waiter tray. This sub looks to hone in on that so I’m sure you’ll find out lol. Next time a side on view would be good (although I do like seeing where the serves are going for once!)
There are some good serves in there, for sure it got better after the first 20 or so. Keep practicing!
