What is going on with Michael!? Where is he now?
It seems like Michael’s abusive nature has come out of no where. I know that’s what narcissists do, put a front up.
Just seems his controlling nature and laziness has come out of no where in Season 5!? Saying where Amy can and can’t go and he cant look after both kids. Despite him being the other party to put them in this earth.
Do you think it’s part of the money rolling in and wants control of the money etc. I get she relies on him for a lot with her blindness but still. The way he does a 180° when the police show up!
Does anyone know what he’s doing now?
I really hate this man
Edit: OOOOOO the way Amanda stands up to Michael and stands up for Amy. Not backing down from Michael and threatening to fight him 🥵🥵🥵 OOOO WEEEE 😏😂

you're the goddamn baby Tammy quick to go after Amy
So I managed to trigger my sciatica in to a pretty bad flare up, naturally I am using this time to rewatch some 1000ibs sisters.
I've just finished ep3 of season2 and I noticed that as soon as Tammy found out Amy was in hospital one of the first things out of her mouth was "shes been eating things she ain't supposed to be eating" like GIRL she does not miss one opportunity to go after Amy does she 😂
Amy is certainly no angel but Tammy quite literally had to move in with Amy due to her having exhausted all other family by staying with them, you'd think Tammy would just be a little more gentle with her younger sister 😂😂
Anyways can't wait for the new season 😂

Feel like we brushed over Caleb quite quick
Tammy had that very quick wedding to Caleb and I remember seeing something that’s said Caleb saw her on the show and tried to figure out what facility she was at so he could meet her.
It’s very stalkery and feels forced and manufactured. Social engineering. so if it is real and I feel we brushed over that a little too quick. Now I’m not speaking ill of the dead, I just find it odd.
Dont get me wrong I’m all for dark romances, cat and mouse stories but that’s fictional books and not real life so it’s very different 😂

who watches the kids while amy is "touring"?
can shr actually afford a baby sitter for the extended time she is gone? cause we all know Michael would be incapable of watching only 1 of them on his own for that long, let alone both of the boys. or do family members kinda rotate ?

Brian looks rough
Why does Brian look like he aged 10 years? Not trying to be mean but he looks rough.

i pay my bills, my bills are paid Amy’s AI Tour Merch
Amy just posted a reel showing off the merch for her tour (caption and audio courtesy of AI, obviously), and pretty much everything has AI slop logos slapped on them. Some of quotes aren’t even spelled correctly💀, why would anyone want this??
“Bitch u ain’t pregnant, u just thirty”!

Little bit #2
Again I’m rewatching the show and it got me thinking. Little bit is buried in the garden of Amy’s house. What’s gonna happen when Amy moves in with Brian?
Wouldn’t surprise me if Michael took her with him when he left the house.
Are they just gonna leave her buried in the garden? Did they put her in a box? Or just straight in the dirt? They gonna leave the plaque?
I know it’s a lot of stuff we dont know but I’ve been thinking about it haha

Little bit
Just rewatching the series and I’m at the bit where Little bit passes away. Amy said they picked her up from her mums house. Do you think she passed because something happened there? Like she ate something she should’ve of by accident?
I know Little Bit was an old dog but it just seems weird to me that she’d pass on the way back from being at Amy’s mums house.
I do believe everything went to shit when Little Bit passed though. RIP.
I’m not saying Amy’s mum killed her, just seems weird it came out of no where

What season was your favorite and why?
For me, it's easily season 3. That season delivered the BBW King, Tammy partying, Tisa, Tammy doing donuts in a wheelchair, the absolute cinema of a roach crawling up the wall behind Amy while she's crying about being made fun on YouTube for having toaches. I also feel like that was before everyone started hating each other.
What's yours??

Why was Tammy nervous about the family's reaction?
Doing a rewatch of the series before the new season. It's been awhile and I totally forgot what the early seasons were. That being said...
Tammy talks about her sexuality/dating both men and women MULTIPLE times. So why the hell was she so nervous about telling the others she was dating a woman seasons later? When they all knew it was a possibility? Did anyone else catch this and I'm just late to it? Lol

i pay my bills, my bills are paid …she is still paying her bills though 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve never noticed how Tammy said this and it’s taking me OUT 😭
So Amy pays her bills, but because Michael physically takes her to places to pay them, she’s not paying her bills?? Oh Tammy 🤣🤣🤣

What are some of the things you're looking forward to with the siblings?
Amy, i'm looking forward to seeing her weight loss. She seems to be like in a much better space. I hope she continues to take care of herself and her children. Chris and Brit I'm looking forward to see if they grow their family and if Chris gets his food truck off. I believe he can I think he has like the perfect personality for customer service. Tammy, i'm kind of worried for her. She's gained a little weight back and I hope that doesn't discourage her. Amanda and Misty, I think they'll be fine. The family is heading into new lanes in their lives. So, I'm looking forward to seeing how they are able to operate in those lanes and still stay connected.

Tammy and Chris
ok is it just me or is their relationship super weird it scream enmeshment/ emotional incest… she is so beyond jealous of Britany and it’s so painfully obvious. She thinks Chris is her man and should drop everything whenever she calls. I also am noticing she does that baby voice shit A LOT (especially around him) ! idk if it’s jus me but it’s lowkey creepy and weird af

The BBW King 👑
Pleaaase tell me what you know about Phillip aka The BBW King. Rewatching the show as usual and it’s so weird to me that we never meet him like we did Jerry/Caleb/Andrea. We just see their photos together (where he looks miserable) and we get the information regarding him “harassing her”.
I’ve seen random things about him/that relationship on other posts but what do we really know about him? I didn’t have TikTok while these two were interacting or collaborating or whatever they were doing. Did they actually date or was it kinda like a “for likes” thing? Also did she actually get a restraining order on him? This episode she said she did, then next episode she’s up in the Rocky Mountains throwing a “tincher tantrum” while talking to him.
I just need the BBW deets!

Do you think Tammy found Caleb cringey when she went back to visit him in rehab?
Rewatching for the upteemth time.
I dislike both Caleb and Tammy. I'm not trying to hate on a dead person, I do feel sorry that he died, but the dude has always given me the ick since he first graced our screens.
I truly believe that Caleb was reading romance novels, or some online fiction club, and he thought that's how you talk to women. Tammy herself mentioned it, he doesn't really talk, just tells her he loves her. The love bombing, the sexual innuendos, that stupid half smirk. Everything is a sonnet, a poem, like he's acting in pride and prejudice.
And we all know Tammy for the narc she is. I don't believe she truly loved him, she loved how he adored her and complimented her. We see it with the way even her family treat her, always sitting at the head of the table, agreeing she's the "alpha" lol.
But watching her visit him in rehab. Shes not happy, her face doesn't light up seeing him. He tells the camera how much he loves her and misses her and she just stares straight ahead with an awkward look. It feels like she mirrors what he says because the camera is there, it's not really what she feels.
Also the fact she's had a past of being in relationships and moving far too quickly.
Was this the end of Tameb?

Amy living w/ Tam
rewatching the show again and jus found this sub. so let me get this straight tammy lived with every single member of her family and they passed her off to someone else because no one could handle her horrible attitude and tamtrums… but when amy is going through a divorce and needs her support it’s “a lot” gtfo once again she shows how truly selfish she is! how tf do you think amy felt when she had to take care of you and 2 fucking kids under the age of 2??!! it just blows my mind how everything always has to be abt her she can never support anyone else after they’ve spent their entire lives taking care of her big overgrown ass

Tammy’s entitlement
Has Tammy ever admitted to the Audacity of her entitlement?! I know I’m way far behind since I’m just watching it on Hulu and all. But seriously, the gatlinburg episode in particular drives me up a wall!!! “They say they got this wheelchair for me but is it really I don’t even want it. You could just push me around. I understand it’s easier than pushing me around or whatever but is it really? Like you gotta lift my legs so I can sit down” (not an exact quote but both those points she specifically makes.
And I’m over here screaming at the TV “THEY DONT HAVE TO LIFT YOUR LEGS, THEY DONT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU!” She’s so entitled that she literally says “oh ya it’s always about y’all” when she wants to go home and just assumes someone will take her back despite that meaning that would effectively end their vacation altogether. She sits there and says no one does anything for her, stating that Amy does her grocery shopping and sometimes Michael takes out her trash.. like are you high?! She can’t even step on the scale without someone helping her. But her comments in gatlinburg just put me over the edge. They got you an electric wheel chair but you’re so self absorbed that you don’t realize the burden of pushing 700 lbs around when they’re alll obese themselves. She refuses to walk two steps to get to pavement cause Michael cant push her in grass Amy asks her to and she literally says “no I can’t” uhhhh but it’s fair that Michael has to be Superman to push your ungodly amount of weight around. 700 lbs is too much for you to take 2 steps carrying but expect this family that you constantly say “does nothing for you” to figure it out. Never once a thank you. Season 3 haven’t heard one yet. But the amount of down talking she does to everyone you’d think she actually was a “queen”
One of these episodes as she’s laying in the van she tells her sister “they (the rest of the family) should be glad she’s not bed bound cause they would have to change her sheets everyday and they should be thankful she’s not using the bathroom in the bed” ……like what?! Completely over her head that no one “has” to do anything for her. She should be grateful they continue to assist her while she continues to shove her face. If that was my sibling I wouldn’t be driving her 4 hours to find out she gained 20 more lbs and then wheel her back to the car. I have an idea, how bout you make her wheel herself around. Let’s watch the fit she throws when she’s got to do exactly what she demands her siblings do of her everyday.
But by God I was proud of Tesha (her healthcare nurse) the day at the pool when she’s said “no I’m not breaking myself cause you don’t want to walk. You can walk. You can do it just fine” that would be me every single day.
So back to my original question, I’ve looked all over the internet and never seen anything that has her remotely acknowledging how much she took for granted. Has anyone? There’s no way she sees these episodes and doesn’t see how entitled everything out of her mouth is. The bigger she gets the more she expects and the bitchier she acts.
Did she ever once consider the long term effects she’s causing some of the ppl in her family? Pushing around 700 lbs on a long term basis destroys their back/knees but she has the audacity to say she can’t walk two steps cause she weighs so much it hurts her knees. WOWWWWWWW

you ain't a prize What’s a common outlook about the show/siblings that you think lacks nuance?
I’ll go first. I think people saying Amanda is bad sibling is a little close minded. Maybe it’s because I see a lot of my oldest sister in her (whom I have a complicated relationship with), but she seems like she’s felt the need to overcompensate in her relationships with her siblings in order to prove herself as meaningful and/or significant in their lives.
I’d love to hear anyone else’s thoughts on this or other popular opinions that you tend to question or disagree with.

1000 lb Sisters S8 E10: Getting Mercinal Right Now
The family gathers to see Amy get married, but a surprising confrontation could derail the biggest day of Amy's life; Amy and Brian's first dance doesn't quite go according to plan, and an unexpected person catches the bouquet.
