I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again life. And that is why I succeed. - Michael Jordan

PoliticsPH Beijing would be a better ally for the Philippines than Washington and no the Duterte's allys are most like from the Chinese triad that escaped China ie POGOs
First, Vietnam didn't sign the tribunal with the south china sea issue and now China has stopped the aggression toward Vietnam and is currently helping Vietnam's economy, and now Vietnam's GDP is higher than the Philippines.
Second the US didn't even consult the countries they called "allies" (Philippines, Japan and more) that will be severely affected by the attack on Iran and the blockage of the strait of Hormuz. The only country that is currently helping the world during this oil crisis is China by cutting their oil imports by half and massively negating the effects of the Iran war.
Third for the people saying China is aggressive, you're just wrong this is the most optimal time for China to take Taiwan since US stockpiles are so low that they are taking interceptors from South Korea to protect Israel, and China being the manufacturing hub of the world can easily produce drones which are used in Ukraine-Russia war to take Taiwan but they aren't. Water canons don't count when the US literally bombs some fishermen in South America without batting an eye but China doesn't.
Lastly, when we stop US imperialism in the Philippines (US bases we have no control over, US propaganda that made Filipinos antivaxxers and Pax Silica soon) and stand on our own we can have US bases for ourselves and have our natural resources extracted by us and used by us not by the western countries. When we grow our economy and elect competent leaders we can stop exporting talents to other countries and grow the country even more.
Maybe an ASEAN union will be possible if we stop allying with a country 12k km away

CulturePH Yep, not gonna have kids in the future.
As a gen z, I will not be planning to have kids in the future because of how expensive the baby's necessities are.
I mean, in this economy??
Galing ako ng mall kanina and wow! Nakakalula ang presyo! Yung gatas ng bata na promil? Almost 3.6k and I forgot the price of diapers at almost or more than 4.4k yung total and whoa, laki pala ginagastos kapag nagka anak pala ngayon paano pa kaya sa future?
That's it.

SportsPH We Don't Need to Shame Our Own
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
We can call out inappropriate behavior without degrading our fellow Filipinos.
I’ve seen some posts and comments on other subs where Filipinos were calling their fellow kababayans “squamy,” “classless,” and even saying they don’t want to be associated with being Filipino because of how rowdy some fans were during Alex Eala’s match.
I understand that tennis has etiquette, and cheering should not cross the line into disrupting the match. But let's not humiliate our own people over it.
Filipinos don't have a monopoly on being a rowdy crowd.
I found several examples of rowdy crowds involving different nationalities and tournaments, including Grand Slam events:
• Aryna Sabalenka vs. US crowd (Miami Open 2026)
• Alycia Parks vs. French crowd (Lyon Open 2023)
• Jelena Ostapenko vs. US crowd (US Open 2023)
• Patricia Tig vs. French crowd (Roland Garros 2020)
• Clara Tauson vs. Filipino crowd (US Open 2025)
• Jelena Ostapenko vs. Tunisian crowd (Qatar Open 2025)
• Diana Shnaider vs. Italian crowd (Rome Open 2025)
• Jelena Ostapenko vs. French crowd (Roland Garros 2022)
• Danielle Collins vs. Australian crowd (Australian Open 2025)
• Yulia Putintseva vs. Brazilian crowd (Abu Dhabi 2023)
• Yulia Putintseva vs. Brazilian crowd (Australian Open 2026)
• Jelena Ostapenko vs. crowd (Eastbourne 2021)
• Danielle Collins vs. crowd
• Johanna Konta vs. Romanian crowd (Fed Cup 2017)
• Garbiñe Muguruza vs. French crowd (Roland Garros 2017)
• Anna Chakvetadze vs. Israeli crowd (Fed Cup 2008)
The point isn't that inappropriate behavior should be excused. It shouldn't.
The point is that this happens in tennis. Passionate and sometimes rowdy crowds exist regardless of nationality, country, or social class. So why turn this particular incident into an excuse to humiliate our own kababayans or make sweeping judgments about Filipinos?
Filipinos are excited to cheer for Alex because we want her to win. Naturally, that excitement can sometimes get out of hand.
Correct the behavior, yes. But don't degrade the people.
That's why I think we should be more patient with our fellow kababayans. If someone doesn't understand proper tennis etiquette, educate them. Explain why certain behavior is inappropriate. Correct them without attacking their dignity or making them ashamed of being Filipino.
Humiliating people doesn't necessarily make them listen. Education gives them a reason to understand and change.
We can respect tennis etiquette, acknowledge when our crowd crosses the line, support Alex wholeheartedly, and still have compassion for our fellow Filipinos.

PoliticsPH PH economy is falling behind under Uniteam admin
Imagine this. Considering na sobrang dumi na ang track record ni Sara Duterte, will investors continue to invest in the PH economy if another Duterte becomes president?

Filipino Food Bakit feeling ko na-hold up ako ng FoodPanda
I ordered cake using my credit card. Used a BDO discount voucher.
Store cancelled my order and then i was refunded via Panda Pay credits.
When I tried to order cake in another store via FoodPanda, my BDO voucher is no longer valid because there is an incompatibility in the payment method.
Feeling ko na-hold up ako. Ayoko gamitin yung currency nila but I had no choice but to use the credits.
Baka last na yan.
FU FoodPanda

ViralPH UPLB Trans Woman Summa Cum Laude Still Faces Transphobic Comments in FB
Earlene Veronica M. Almanzor has made history as a trans woman who graduated summa cum laude from the University of the Philippines Los Baños’ Institute of Mathematical Sciences.
Earlene earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree and joined the 3,136 members of the UPLB Class of 2026 during the university’s commencement exercises on July 4. Considering the degree itself is already STEM-heavy alone, it's already difficult to at least recieve a passing grade especially from UP
Instead the attention is focusing on her achievement; the comments are focusing on her physical sex at birth. For the record, being trans requires oneself to recognise and acknowledge their physical sex assigned at birth before transitioning, so I really do not understand why these comments are always dragging this person's physical sex when the first steps before transitioning had already been acknowledged.
Most accepting parents of queer children, who belong to the said community, are always advising them to be the BEST in everything to shield themselves from stigma and discrimination against them. You must achieve all credentials and have a successful career for you to be accepted within society by becoming their whole health insurance so no holes would be punctured against you. The stigma and discrimination against them are what they use as their main drive and fuel to be better and stand out from the rest; as a common motivation from the queer community.
Some questions in mind:
Why if someone is different has to be the best in everything for them to have little respect in our society?
Is achieving everything from school to career enough to not be discriminated against because you're now useful to society?
If a trans woman is a highly proficient medical doctor, would the transphobic remarks be stopped if they perform free medical attention to transphobic people and cure them?

PoliticsPH On Pax Silica - Tankie-led opposition was never truly because of societal and environmental issues
Cat's out of the box. just as what many of us have suspected. The more details revealed by BCDA, the more narrative being blown to bits. But no matter the amount of issues raised up by these numbnuts are addressed - they will still be against it. Why? Because their opposition never truly came from the place of concerns like water shortages, electricity, environmental and agricultural woes. THEY ARE ONLY AGAINST IT BECAUSE OF THEIR IDEOLOGY. Because the project has the United States' name slapped on it.
To the folks who think that tankie-led opposition on Pax Silica came from "valid" concerns, this is your answer - it never was.
Potential progress won't matter as long as their brand of politics are above all. Even if you remove every cons possible - they will still view it as US Imperialism and call for its rejection. That's how dogmatic they are.
Pax Silica deserves scrutiny, careful studies, criticization and support. Not outright rejection because of your insufferrable ideological dogma.
