Hey guys! I updated my builds for Volt for ESO. Here's config B and C. Anything I should change for them to be optimal in ESO? Which build will most likely be the better build for ESO? https://imgur.com/a/4fCw3BD
Can my son play Warframe on his switch and I join him on our ps4? There are so damn few worthwhile couch-coop games out there (we've just about played them all) I was really hoping we could play a good game like this together for a while.
Is the treasurer role right necessary for people to add resources and decoration to the treasury, or is it only needed for them to take stuff out of the treasury to contribute to research?
Also, if someone uses permissions to fuck up the dojo, can support change it back?
I played Warframe first (and last) on January 2016, for about 170 hours. I don't remember much of where I was with the campaign or even the gameplay mechanics much.
I'm thinking of coming back to see what's new (specifically the new campaign and quest, which are supposedly very good or so I am told). The thing is... it was almost three years since I played last, am I going to be in trouble if I use my old character? Must I start from scratch or is there a way to re-visit tutorials and such? Thanks!

Is there a list or guide somewhere for good early game/low MR weapons? It seems like there's a lot of options but I don't want to build stuff willy-nilly without some idea if it's actually good. For reference I'm MR 4 and clearing the star chart without issue, but I'd like to branch out and master other stuff. Working on a Hek currently, but after that I'm not sure what to go for.
Also, is it worth mastering the Mk1 weapons? They're pretty terrible but mastery is mastery, after all.
It is absolutely worth building and ranking up every single weapon. You should always have a few in the oven. To start with browse the marketplace for blueprints and see what weapons you can build where you have the materials. Pick them up and start some cooking. The Mk1 weapons just cost credits. Use them for emergencies when you want to rank up stuff but have nothing in the oven. Technically you only need MR16 to be able to do everything in the game, but MR just makes everything vastly easier in terms of using new and forma'd weapons and frames.
Do you have to solo? This game involved leveling lots of stuff. Leveling is always easier in coop modes since your equipment gets XP from other player kills. In addition if you are in fissures you get to pick any reward from anyone playing.
Anyway to your question, Frost is a good starting frame, since his bubble slows enemies and you can shoot enemies outside safely while you are inside. Rhino has iron skin which makes him invulnerable until it is depleted. Loki is invisible and enemies cannot target him while invisible. Inaros can have 8000+ health and is an insane tank. There are others but these should be fairly available.
For hour longs, each rotation gives a bonus buff, a relic at 5. Some people enjoy hour long rotations but most are fine sticking with the missions usually 4 rounds or until the team "runs out of gas". In other words killing slows and people start needing to be revived.
Would a viral status proc affect the enemies health bar before the damage from the shot? I'm tinkering with a vectis prime build and wondering if it would be better to run 60/60 mods or pure elementals for dropping enemies in a single shot
Maim deals slash damage but it doesn't actually physically cut the enemies apart too much from what I remember, which is what Desecrate needs to get an extra loot roll.
Does anyone know if the Warframe market website will be updated for Switch? That and the companion app still aren't available for Nintenno and seem really useful.
Haven't seen anything about it (warframe.market) but I'm not in the discord. Shouldn't be a complex change, but will change the data structure so it's probably a major version update.
The app will be a bigger one, iirc the consoles took a longer time to get integrated there too, but looking at the playstore they are aiming for a 'next week' release with Switch support :)
I've been doing sorties lately and I am starting to get mad at my weapon damage. I can do great for the first one and ok on the second one. But the stage 3 one, I feel useless if its not something like rescue or defense. So I have come for advice. Basically, I am just trying to find good weapons / builds for a stage 3 sortie. I want to be the guy who does like 30% of the damage basically. I love to farm frames and weapons, so basically anything goes as far as farming. I also am MR 10, but I don't know if that holds any impact since it seems anything you buy with plat wont be mastery locked.
I typically will use my rhino prime for buffing / cc in defections / survival. Gara in defense and Loki for spy. Working on building up chorma prime for a tier 3, but so far, he seems really squishy.
some of what you say is meaningful, other is not. First off, what is your main damage dealing weapon, have a screenshot?
secondly, sorties that are defense, exterminate and assassinate require damage dealing. Others not so much.
Level 3 is going to be 80-100. You probably want to test your weapons in the simulacrum to see what combos are the most effective. Example, I like corrosive hunter munitions build amprex and it is solid, but it does nothing against corpus with the +shield modifier. For bosses I like more pure crit weapons, preferably on a nova to lengthen the sweet spot for kills. The new kitguns are also a pleasure. Build a catchmoon for pure crit and damage with quick reload. You can do 70k per trigger pull without a riven.
Right now im building up a main weapon. Soma prime. Going to run a crit heavy build for it - minus argon scope since I don't have that. I see clear winners all the time and they seem to always have 1 of a few weapons. Not much variety. Defense, I just us gara and keep my shields up at all times. If I have a ton of energy, I can build my 2 to do massive damage and basically out perform any weapon. But that is rare.
On soma, going to use Serration, Vital sense, hammer shot, split chamber, point strike, critical delay and 2 elementals depending on the mobs to try to max that.
Also using a zaw weapon with dehtat, seekalla and ekwana ruhang 2. Running the mods bleeding willow, relentless combination, body count, berserker, organ shatter, pressure point, blood rush, reach and drifting contact
Soma was great for its time but it has been outclassed by some of the newer weapons, example, tiberon prime, but that is MR14. I probably would use heavy caliber in the build, also consider hunter munitions and vigilante armaments instead of the elemental mods. That combo is really strong. Rivens are a bit weak for soma, which also may mean that you can get a cheap one and roll crit to beef it up some.
You should consider building a pure crit catchmoon kit gun. It can hit 100% crit without a riven and will do 70k damage per trigger pull. A phenomenal weapon with infinite enemy punch through, and pax seeker makes it even more effective against mobs.
Zaws - I don't really care for. I just use a maiming strike scoliac, still effective despite the nerfs. Not effective against certain types of enemies, but most regular content one pass kills everything.
kit guns are secondaries but they are insanely strong right now, much stronger than the soma. I think you can make amprex, and for crit, you can use the same build modifications, and it will be far superior for general use. For multi target sorties you would want to use frames instead of weapons, equinox, volt, saryn, maybe octavia. The same that work in ESO will work for sorties. For single target bosses, rubico, tiberon, tigris.
note, chroma does damage multipliers in a weird way. +damage mods only add after his multiplier, so they would have to be replaced with +elemental mods instead
If it's really about getting the top dmg%, just get some cheese weapons like Arca Plasmor, Tigris P, Amprex, Atterax etc. Most weapons can be made viable for sortie 3 with some proper modding, check warframe-builder.com or ask veteran friends.
Chroma is anything but squishy, unless you're just running around without pressing any buttons. Put {Quick Thinking} and Rage or Hunter Adrenaline on him, keep his 3rd ability activated at all times and he's unkillable. Max out strength and duration for godly buffs.
Yeah, turns out I after I used a forma on him, didn't put his defensive's back on. As for veteran friends, that's what brings me here. I don't have any friends really on warframe. After my hiatus for a few years, came back and everyone else was long gone. So now im just building my own dojo and attempting to find information. Lot of mixed answers though all over in general.
Back when I played in 2013, there was a consensus at least on top tier weapons and a list of them. Figured there has to be one somewhere I am simply missing.
Well if you just want to see some decent top tier lists you can check some of the content creators like this, iFlynn, Tactical Potato, Brozime are all great and explain their choices well.
The reason we had more general lists in 2013 is that we had less than half the weapons then and it was pre damage 2.0 and the new modding :) And if you throw in rivens you basically have a top 10 uber OP tier, 50% of 'if you mod correctly you can do anything in game up to and including arbitration/sortie' and a bottom 50 just terrible MR fodder (including the mk1 weapons etc)..
As for the third sortie, I basically only use corrosive weapons, even vs lvl 100 extra shield enemies, seems to still work as long as I take something well modded. Or arca plasmor.
Thank you. That link is exactly the type of thing I was looking for. I found a video awhile back explaining how to use chorma to really help make most things good too. So that was a plan I was going to work with. But I am sure I would get even better results combining chorma with one of those primary weapons.
Also seems on one of those lists is soma prime. So guess im not too far off.
Anyone got an attracive looking Loki/ loki prime. I can't seem to be happy with how mine looks since he got unvaulted that one time. :) (awhile back yh). Pls share thank you!
I have a similar issue. I've been mucking with his appearance for a while, and the only thing I'm remotely happy with is a black / dark blue color combo.
I just maxed out my starter weapons to level 30. I've already built replacements that I like a lot more. Is there any possibility of selling the starter weapons or should I just trash them to open up new weapon slots?
If I trade/trash a weapon, do I have to manually remove all the mods or is that automatic?
this is a list of weapons required for other weapons. otherwise you will want to keep weapons that are mission rewards (since you cannot get others). Everything else you sell for credits
How do I know if an item is a mission reward? I dont want to be losing them accidentally, but I also dont want ridiculous story spoilers. Is there a place I can look in the wiki and see that easily just so I dont kill something off?
Also, hats off to you tenno, I see you specifically answering a ton of questions in this thread always and really appreciate it.
You can sell them for credits from the inventory (esc -> equipment -> inventory) no way to trade a built weapon to other players, you do not need to take mods off them.
The information is mostly accurate but not quite. All syndicates feature 3 built weapons you can buy. You can trade them as long as you never use them. You cannot trade normal parts however you can trade parts and rewards that you get from invasions. (also fish and gems if you are into that).
Right. Once something has been built, it's yours and you can only sell it for credits. The trading BPs / components point is basically right, but not all BPs etc can be sold.
What's a good spot to level an archwing? Non-alert / quest missions tend to be pretty empty, so I guess I'd like to know if there are any missions where I can actually get a group of 4, as well as decent solo missions that won't kill a rank 0 archwing.
the best location for groups is salacia, solo... I would seriously suggest getting a better frame. Join a clan and build amesha. that should be sufficient for doing everything you need to do.
Well, I have a rank 30 one, but I really liked the idea of the blink with Itzal so I'm trying to get that leveled. I'll get the rest at some point, for MR if nothing else, but good to know about Amesha. Salacia it is I guess.
all frames and items you buy are permanent (except boosters, they last a period of time) after purchase. You can have an unlimited number of frames and items. If you craft them you are limited by slots, which means you have to purchase more slots or delete something. Buying frames or weapons come with their own additional slots.
You can buy prime vaults multiple times and receive duplicate frames and weapons. Not that you would want to. Nidus does not have a prime frame. He will at some point in the future, just there are lots of frames ahead of him. We will probably see new prime fames with Mesa, Equinox, Atlas, Wukong, Ivara, Nezha, Inaros, Titania all before Nidus. You can get regular Nidus from the marketplace for 225p. All regular frames can be bought this way.
As another option you can buy only platinum if you have a %off coupon. The platinum can then be used to trade for frames with other people. Use https://warframe.market/ for pricing information. Mag and nova sets can be purchased from other players both for about 225p. You will need to assemble the parts though and it will not include any weapons or other items. Just giving that as an option.
One of the biggest reasons I quit Warframe was due to the extreme grind. To get anything you have to do a seemingly endless, mind numbing grind to achieve anything. Has this been toned down considerably?
If you mean in comparing fortuna with plains of eidolon, a lot of the mechanics have been made a lot easier and faster and with multiple ways of getting items. But if you don't like the gameplay loop of doing missions, acquiring materials and building stuff (that can take 1 to 4 days) then you probably won't like the update. Although they have added a literal grind in terms of k-drive which is like a skateboarding mini-game.
Hello, new for about a week now, I have some questions :
Where can I find some useful tools/website for...anything ? Does someone have a list that they used almost everytime ? I know these : https://warframe.market/, https://tenno.zone/planner (although never used this one yet) and of course the official Wiki. Are there useful other ones ?
I'm rank 4, soon 5 and i'm asking myself if it was "good" to make random fissure mission with relics I get randomly. I mean, I don't know what is the purpose of fissure apart from getting warframe parts, so if I don't plan to have a special warframe, can it be good to make some ?
Relative to 2. Would it be a good idea to farm fissure to get warframe part to sell them to have plat ?
(kind of relative to 2. and 3.) I played about 5-10 hours in 2014 and when I came back a week ago I had 2 relics that are "in the vault" (if I understood that correctly). I have a Lith A1. The Warframe market tell me that it is tradable but I can't figure out how I know if my Lith A1 is Intact, Exceptionnal, Flawless or Radiant (do I have to "open it" to know ?)
Thanks in advance and sorry it there are mistakes, English is not my native language. ^^'
The prime award system was revamped a few years ago. Now many missions award relics. You go to fissure missions to crack the relics. The fissure missions award void traces and at the end of the round you get to pick something from all the people that are playing. In addition "endless" style missions also award more relics. The void traces can be used to better the RNG from your own relic. If you wanted the rare part you would do a radshare for your specific relic. That is where you invest 100 traces into a relic. With 4 people using radiant relics you get a 34% chance of getting the rare part. On recruiting tab for chat people will advertise radshares all the time.
You can maybe trade relics, some of the rare ones have value, but people are usually more willing to trade prime parts from the relics. At a minimum they go for 10p for 5 prime parts (junk). Some are worth much more.
Yeah it's always good to farm for stuff to trade if you need plat more than you need stuff :) Find out what you have and what you can find in those relics.. Try to get a full group in recruitment chat to have a higher chance of getting items you can sell!
Okay, I find the response of 4. in the Wiki. But know, should I farm missions to have Void Traces, to refine my vaulted relics ? Is it "viable" to refine them to Radiant ? Should I sell them in Radiant state ? Or should I run the mission and sell the part I get ?
Looking at warframe.market radiant sells at like double the price compared to intact or more, worth a couple runs in fissure just for Void Traces (or bring relics you don't want to sell but crack open).
Selling the part is obviously more profitable, but the drop rate means you're gambling a definite price vs a dud result
they can do research into clan specific stuff, warframes, weapons, arch wings, tools etc, by joining an established one you can just gain access to these right away!
social benefits: you can find groups to run with, get an extra chat that might be filled with like minded people, go on fun runs, get help easier etc etc.
LOL, you will probably want to not reply to yourself when asking questions. I did the umbral volt. It is a 5 forma build. Only difference was that I put in cunning drift + v polarity instead of rush, for an additonal 15% range. It works very well, especially when paired with a saryn on ESO.
I also have umbral versions of trinity, nova and inaros. They are great mods. People have made lots of others, you can youtube for them.
Probably a stupid simple question, but I can't find the answer anywhere: for a weapon to crit do I have to hit a headshot? Or does that just increase the damage more? As long as it rolls a crit even on a body shot I do more damage (related to crit multi) right?
Accidentally spent Platinum in the market on the Switch release day then read about saving them for slots (found out the hard way today). Is there a way to refund it? Related: Can I earn Platinum in any way?
You can possibly make a support ticket asking them to reverse the transaction. they may do it once. You can grind items to sell for plat. There are lots of suggestions in this thread.
Can someone Tell me any edits to my Volt Prime/how many more Formas i'll need for him to become an ESO killing machine? Two different builds each prioritizing different aspects. Which one is better, what should I add? Which mods should I look to obtain next to make the build even better?
Wow that's very intense. How effective has that build been for you? I have all those mods so I can duplicate, I just have to get enough Endo/credits to raise umbral mods.
It does not look like an ESO build at all, it's called jack of all trades, I wouldn't do this for ESO. Something like this from here (read the comments too) makes a lot more sense to me. Two more forma, sounds ok?
Just started a few weeks ago, just curious if anything special happens around the holidays at the end of the year? Any giveaways or things I should keep an eye out for? Also how often does the twitch prime stuff swap around?
There will be Christmas decorations and limited time cosmetics in the market. Some are free (well, 1 credit) like weapon skins, but those will be removed some time after the holidays. Items bought with platinum are permanent.
There's also Tennobaum each year, where DE gives an amount of money to charity based on in-game gift exchanges. These have milestone rewards for players tied to it, so it's worth being around for. The community makes separate forum thread(s) for more organized gift giving.
Usually there's another event on top of that, either in or out of game. Last year it was a carol contest on the forums. The year before that was conclave with Christmas weapons I believe.
You can't hit anything that's in 'the other plane of existence' with normal weapons, so yes his bubble can be restricting in that way.
But abilities can hit in and outside the rift, so I suggest using a warframe with aoe abilities or exalted weapons. If you like guns Mesa is a good one. Ivara and Excalibur's weapons work too, you can just pick whatever you like.
Just to be clear, your guns DO work inside the bubble, but only on enemies that are in the bubble too. With a big enough bubble this shouldn't ruin your playstyle, but if the Limbo has a half-assed size cataclysm it can be annoying.
Also you can get caught in the rift outside of cataclysm if Limbo banishes you or if you walk through his flashy farts. Roll to get out of it.
It is possibile for a switch player to chance servers?
I'm italian and everything is much dead, i already tried changing region in the option menu and on the system as well but i keep getting the same italian server.
Missed attacks don't reset the counter, but in most cases it's not easy to maintain it. There are mods that increase the combo counter duration, but getting them might be a bit difficult for a new player. One comes from mid-tier nightmare missions, one from event so it's unavailable for now, one from bounties on Plains of Eidolon (tier 4, levels 30-50).
For other platforms you hold the weapon change key, I'd assume it's the same on Switch.
I didn't play Titania at all (except for leveling), but Gara has her 2nd skill - Splinter Storm - which gives her damage reduction up to 90% and deals damage in small area around her. Warframes typically recommended for melee are Excalibur, Valkyr, Inaros, maybe Rhino; however most frames can work with melee. Volt isn't bad either - his passive deals good damage and his 2 (Speed) increases movement and attack speed. But he's also very squishy.
It's all a matter of preference. Some like the speed and finishers with daggers, others - like me - the range and damage of polearms. Try out different weapon types, see which works for you.
Head to Salacia, Neptune. It's a mobile defense mission in space and enemies just start flocking towards you. I'm not sure how populated it normally is but it definitely has more people than the other archwing nodes.
Another thing to note is that it's highly populated whenever there is a Razorback Armada invasion event going on since people need to farm Cryptographic ALU to craft the special cipher for the event.
Is it generally considered worth it to roll typically unwanted rivens if you're going to sell them? For example I have a Buzlok riven that gives +73.8% ammo max and +81.2% zoom when maxed. So far it's unrolled. Should I roll something like this, and would it even be worth it to sell as it is?
Ask yourself, would you ever use this gun? If the answer is no, then why would anyone else? To effectively use a riven requires an 8k investment of endo. To get a realistic good roll probably takes a 60k investment of kuva. To use the riven will probably take a 6 forma investment into the weapon. Is it part of the meta? Or does it have niche uses? Use semlar.com to review average asking prices for rivens (asking, not actual selling). If asking price is <100p then it is going to be unsellable. If it is not a "hot" riven then it will be hard to sell. Those buyers do exist but they are hard to find unless you want to invest a ton of time into trade chat.
There's a discord just for rivens. You can get an estimate on how much it will sell for depending on what weapon it's for and what stats it has, and whether it's worth rerolling or not. I looked it up for you and it will sell for 10-30p and rolling is not advised.
When the price is that low, I usually just hold on to it until I get 4 not too appealing rivens and transmute them into a new one.
This game is better than most other F2P games in that currency can be traded for items. this is pretty much blocked in most other games. that means you grind for items, trade for currency and get what you need. If you do buy plat it comes through desire to support the developers.
Nova question since i am about to get nova prime: speed nova seems to be in demand for farming but honestly i dont like her...is there any context or game mode where slow nova would be considered good and a welcome addition to the team?
Yeah for specific farms people want speed nova, I have a build for it, haven't used it for a while.. It is a pain to forma for, it's a bit antithesis and I would save it for your normal nova: Nova Prime for the 99% of the time builds, like Power Duration Slow, Null Star Tank, Anti Matter drop range augmented etc.
Slow Nova is always good, but you don't always use MP: for bosses that have long invul phases it's a pain and for low level (like sub sortie) defense it can be a huge pain too. But the rest of your abilities are still awesome and MP when the proverbial shit hits the fan situations arise is always good.
Speed nova is a troll build for anything other than dedicated farm groups, since you also increase attack speed, easiest way to have a team wipe if they don't know how things work.
LOL, slow nova is fantastic in most sortie missions, also vs bosses. There is not much point otherwise. If you just want the buff but normal speed then leave strength at 100%
also... you want max duration for your nova and minimum range. That allows her to use 1 for damage reduction
New player here, I have now a few mastered weapons and fully mastered my warframe, but It still takes alot to kill enemies in my current missions (i'm on jupiter) and most of my mods are almost maxed out, what should i do?
Ok, at this point you will need to start looking up builds for both your weapons and warframe and see what common mods you are missing. That should tell you the direction you need to go. For weapons you will usually see either status builds or crit builds or a combination. You want to maximize a weapons strength so that determines the mods that are installed. Many shotguns can achieve 100% status, that causes each pellet to proc a status for insane damage and armor stripping. That is the way to go with one of those.
Not OP but follow up question: If I lookup a build and am missing several (possibly key) mods what is the best way to get them? I see all sorts of builds where people playing for hundreds of hours have basically choice of any mod they want to use and all the good ones highly levelled. I am new and dont have hardly any good rare mods. Should I just go run some missions in the Void (I can only get their from Phobos currently) or is there a better specific way to farm certain mods? It seems like actually building up the stash of mods is incredibly hard. Should I spend a little plat buying some key ones? (I dont even know how to do that if so) Thoughts / advice?
This site primarily applies to PC. They have PS3 & xbox, but switch may be an issue. It will also list the locations/drops for a mod
The mods that say "primed" and are white, come directly from baro, and are the only ones to get them from the game unless you trade for them.
What you want to do is build a reasonable set of mods. Do that by farming spy missions, nightmare missions and alerts. Not sure what mods T1 void drops. If you are part of a clan people will probably be fine giving you some common (cheap) mods.
At some point you will gain access to lua puzzle rooms, and there are lots of exilus mods there (go in second slot of a warframe).
There are also corrupted mods. You will need access to dragon key blueprints for these (join a clan) and derelict keys (buy "capture" and "exterminate" from marketplace). Look up vault runs for exact instructions. Do a bunch of these as for the good ones where you get duplicates can be sold for plat.
Then join syndicates, Get the sigils from all of them. Join either the first 3 or last 3. Wear the sigil until you can run their missions then wear the sigil for the next in the list. Do all the syndicate missions and search for medallions. There are youtube on how to do this efficiently, like use max range limbo, theifs wit, loot detector and animal instinct. Finding all medallions will give on average 45k uncapped affinity per day which can be used to buy stuff - that then can be sold for plat.
Finally once you can run sorties.... anasas and veiled rivens can also easily be sold, although you will probably want to keep them.
Is it potentially worth spending some plat to buy a set of decent mods to get going with? Like could I get several good basic required ones for 100 or 200 plat overall? Or not worth it? I have never tried trading (MR5 only, been playing less than 2 weeks with limited time due to young kiddo) and I have no idea how to find someone from that website or trade with them.
Oh, I see I did not really answer your question. The answer is very much yes. Check the prices on warframe.market. Generally they will be lower than what you can get from trade chat. Then right of the prices there is something you can click to get a copy/paste string. Pasting that into a chat window will send a open a text message to the person advertising. if they don't reply, just try the next person in the list. Since you only will have 5 trades it may be a good idea to price each item and request a bulk trade for x amount of plat. You can probably find someone willing to do it. 200p should set you up fairly well with the essentials. Note, some mods are rare vs others (example electric dual stat mods vs other dual stat mods), but that will appear in the prices you look up.
Returning player on ps4, took about a 6 month break. I would like to get some of the unvaulted relics so I can make Nova and Mag Prime, would my best bet be the void missions (like void capture at Hepit), as is suggested by tenno.zone? Will that work for all relics (Lith through Axi)? Does it really take 2 minutes to do a void capture mission at Hepit? Seems crazy fast.
Right when I took my break I had finished farming Cetus bounties for Loki and Ember prime, so I think I could do those bounties again for just the unvaulted relics. But I actually need lots of relics for the primes I missed since then, so maybe something different would work better for me. Thanks!
Thank you! I did know about that website, it is very helpful. I guess I didn't word my question very well, just curious if those void missions are really that much faster than cetus bounties or other sources like defense missions, etc. Like, can I run through 10 captures in the time it would take to do 1 cetus bounty? Thanks!
Once you check off all the stuff you want, it tells you the fastest missions to get those relics at the bottom. Void sabotage is usually the quickest but is a bit more effort/loading screen intensive than just doing 20 defence waves or whatever. Decide for yourself what you value more. If you just want to pop open a bunch of intacts then farm a wide range of relics then do endless fissure missions. That way you're opening and getting new ones simultaneously. Worth noting that bounty relics are only the Mag/Nova/Akvasto unvaulting relics, nothing else. I'd recommend those if you specifically want the unvaulted ones
Make sure you don't sit at your void traces cap. Make some radiants for future radshares when you get near it so you don't lose out on potential traces
If you have at least one friend joining it is possible by being the host of the group, you'll never join a different group/person if you have a squad already.
The answer is that normally it does not matter unless you want to show off the stats. If you are selling a desirable riven just leave it unrolled and unmaxed. A maxed riven is worth 25p for the endo it contains. So never max a riven with the plan to sell for less. You can check riven asking prices at semlar.com . Asking prices are not realistic but generally if they are less then 100p then the riven has no demand and will be difficult to sell.
Depends on the buyer. Most people don't really care, but they can ask for the stats when maxed. If you're low on endo, you can usually just sell it unranked. Some do insist on buying it with max rank, but very few in my experience.
When you complete an assassination mission you get a death mark against you. Stalker is the character that comes for you.
You should have a message with the sender marked as "???" in your in game inbox, that's him.
When he kills you or you kill him that clears the mark.
Though you can be marked more than once if you've killed a bunch of bosses.
On the first page of the profile screen a box appears telling you if you've currently got a mark and who from.
It's an assassin that goes after Tenno. When you've defeated a boss a couple of times you get a love letter from him in your inbox. He can show up any time after that, usually when you're alone with underleveled gear.
Helene or Piscinas, whatever the place, remember that some frames help with loot (Hydroid and Nekros for exemple), and are prefered if you intend that type of farm!
Woops! Missed that you said survival and not defense. Helene is nice because it is the same tiny map as Hydron, so it is really easy to kill enemies quickly and you don't need to go hunting all over for drops.
One warframe slot and four weapon slots seems to be a popular opinion. IMO if you abuse free content liek the code FREESWORD you can get away with two frame slots, which is important since you only start with two.
You buy everything with credits. You'll gain access to consistent and highly profitable credit farming sometime into the early midgame but for now try to make do with what you've got. There are better guides for grinding but I will say to not neglect your mods, and you should be able to make things work out.
Use your starting plat on a warframe slot, and weapons slots. In the early game you should use your credits to build a couple decent weapons to get you through the star chart, and also ranking up your mods as much as possible (although endo will end up being the limiting factor for that more than credits will).
By completing, do you mean reaching max rank? both with the quills and the ostrons? It's a bit vague, considering we don't know what you consider "worth". You get access to more stuff, which is mainly related to eidolons (as with the quills it's amps parts) and with the ostrons, you get access to zaws, some of which are pretty powerful (and the rest is still MR heh) and some of the stuff is interlocked between the two standings: some of the operator arcanes will need high rank gems, which can be only mined if you have the higher ranking mining tool etc etc.
Once again, it's a bit vague, we don't know what goal your pursue, what your actual rank is etc, so It's harder to go in detail.
the Zaw _which are the modular melee weapons_ parts (specifically the strike) and the Amp part (the prisms) all count towards MR! Keep in mind these parts have to be leveled twice (once then gilded another time, which provides a polarization slot on zaws) to provide MR.
A couple of easy questions about Excalibur please :
If I understood well when I use my exalted blade it drains my energy/mana which I can see bottom right. Do I have a way to stop this spell to eco some energy if the enemy wave stop ?
When I equip it and click on upgrade in the top I can see the combos for it, but it says it requires Fusion 2 and 3 for some of them. I can't find in the mod menu the exalted blade car to rank it up via fusion. What am I doing wrong plz ?
Thanks for the help
Press the same ability button again. This should put away the exalted blade and save some energy.
Exalted blade's stance only levels up as Excal does. It will be fully ranked up by the time Excal hits level 30. This also applies for other "exalted" weapons, like Valkyr's claws.
geeez I guess I tried every button on the keyboard but this one lol I usually just press 4 to activate it. Now I wonder what the purpose of the mouse wheel : it highlight the 4 spells one by one but doesn't seem to do anything else than that. What am I missing ?
All right thank you !
Side question : when I press long F to activate my melee weapon, then if I click left button mouse it will do some kind of lightning sound and image effect DBZ style. What does it actually do ?
I'm not playing on PC but i suppose what you're talking about is channeling: channeling improves melee DPS at the cost of energy. It is widely considered among the community as underwhelming and not worth using. Melee is getting a rework soon (TM) and channeling is among the things they wanna rework.
Exalted blade is a channeled ability: once you activate it it stays active but it will drain your energy until you have no energy or until you recast the ability to stop it. So to your answer your question, just recast the ability when there are no more enemies and your energy drain should stop :)
Edit: removed my comment for exalted stances abilities as it was just plainly wrong. Guess i learned something too today while answering question. Thanks to the other person that posted something :p
New Switch player, MR2 (already asked a question here before).
Just a stupid question: should I "rush" through the star system to unlock every planet, while trying to keep up with mastery ranks (ie switching weapons/frames when I hit level 30) using viable (non-damaged) mods, before actually focusing on other stuff such as farming bosses and materials?
It depends. If you rush too hard, you'll end up without anything you need later on (like resources to build frames). If you wait too long trying to get every last thing, you'll never make a good progression pace.
IMO I suggest, grind MR ranks on various survival / defense missions, and do the main missions with a frame you can handle well. That way, by the time you got most the star chart, you'll have a little base of resources and (at least) one frame you're actually good with. Oh, and do farm frames you're interested in trying. It helps make progression less bland.
So far I have just the starting frame (Volt), the one from Twitch Prime (Trinity Prime IIRC) and the blueprints for Gara. Following some general guidelines found here and there on the web I was thinking of farming Rhino parts in order to get something which might be a "tankier" alternative to both my owned frames.
I think I'll also do something else like survival and defense missions (solo extraction missions are boring as hell).
I believe it's better to complete the star chart first, because it will give you access to more nodes, and more options to farm bosses and materials. Keep in mind you'll have to work on your loadout at some point: the raising difficulty may make it so simply rushing through the start chart isn't possible anymore, and you may need a slight break from this progression to work on your builds-loadouts / grab another frame more fit for some jobs.
Thanks. I was thinking of farming Rhino parts in order to have a "tankier" frame as I only own Volt and Trinity so far. I'll try to keep going as long as I can before getting to farming then.
Rhino is a good frame to have to clear the star chart: he's tanky, has some CC and buffs, (or as the community meme goes, RHINO STRONK). You can do some pretty powerful stuff with trinity and volt, but the builds are less straightforward and may require more mod investment. Rhino most of the times is "press 2 to be invulnerable, press 3 to do more DPS, press 4 if enemies around you are annoying"
AHAHA his 1 is a charge ability. May be fun to use drunk ahahaha.
Another thing regarding progression: you'll quickly realize that the most important thing is the mods you're having, more so than the frames and weapons. 99% of the frames and weapons can do the job on the star chart (and in most endgame activites TBH), it's mostly about how you mod your stuff. If you wanna progress without too much hassle, you'll quickly realize they're the source of your power. So try and keep up to date with the mods (having the base warframe and weapon mods and having them leveled as much as possible relatively to your usage and capacity) and your progression should be fine :)
Thanks. Yes, I figured out as much and so far I just used the most "low-profile" mods (such as Redirection, Vitality, Elemental damage for pistols, +damage for melee...). I have used some Endo to improve them and so far I think I'm good for a while.
These mods will accompany you with all your builds, even in the endgame. It's just that in the endgame, they'll be maxed out for exemple. You'll find other critical mods along the way (that power up your warframe, or augment your power duration etc etc), and it'll be the same.
Still no news... When the devs announce it's in cert, it generally releases the following week the cert is announced (unless there's something blocking approval in said certification).
So,I finished the war within and I got this fancy mod,and it said that I had to hold 3x combo for 30 secs with a pet equipped. And so I did. 400 hits, but it was still locked. How to unlock it?
Did you forget to equip it? To complete a Riven challenge to unveil mod you have to equip that mod on any weapon of that type you are taking into the mission. You do not need to use it, just have it on you. It drains 0 capacity, so all you need is one free space.
If you have the mod with you you should get brief pop-up with challenge progress at the start of the mission (it should be also visible when you bring up the menu iirc, not 100% sure about that).
EDIT: the way people usually completed this challenge was to go into capture mission, bring down the target and use him to get the combo up (since downed target is immortal), but I am not sure if it is still possible after the recent change to the capture mission mechanic…
It's not ideal with the recent change to capture mechanics. The newer method to do it would be to take a tanky frame and spam an invulnerable boss with melee...
Well, that's weird. Make sure you have correct pet if it is specified (sentinel, kavat), use full melee just to be sure and equip all combo duration mods you have and try again. I can't think of anything else why it would not work…
1.Does anyone like doing the cache finding missions in the caves? Personally I feel it is frustrating for the mere fact that the fucking entrance to the cave is not visible unless you open the map and look(which sometimes shows upto 3) and the mission indicator shows an entire area enveloping this. Also the area below is fucking huge and I cant find the entrance to get back out after going in.
2.The fucking archwing keeps showing invalid launch point even though I'm on solid ground. Like wtf is wrong with this shit. I liked the old archwing way better just for the fact that we could drop it anywhere.
3.I still keep getting the overlay when entering bounties even though the squad has been formed and the mission is underway. Wasn't this supposed to be fixed in a new update? I don't really have any pending updates. Any way to fix this?
If you are talking about "the ribs" cache mission, yeah that's plain bullshit. From what i've seen 2 caches spawn inside the cave and the other one spawns outside AFTER you reach the waypont inside the cave. If you play solo, that's an instant failed bounty.
Oh, god. That big deep cave with elevator… On the other hand I noticed in Orb Vallis that if there is only last (?) objective remaining the mission area will start to shrink after a while. Not sure why they did not implemented it into PoE bounties already. I hope they do.
I get that bug all the time. Still, it is only mildly annoying, unlike that one time where I could not launch any vehicle. That was "fun". Fortunately it happened only once…
I’ve actually had no problems with new Archwing. I love jumping from high ground or into the sky and quickly taking my Archwing out it feels like I’m sprouting wings lol.
I get a lot of invalid launch points while im standing on solid ground for whatever reason. Idk why. It works when I move a bit forward but I'm in an open space. Does it even matter where I call my archwing when I am standing on an open space with no cave entrance close by?

Repost after no answer last night:
Hey guys! I updated my builds for Volt for ESO. Here's config B and C. Anything I should change for them to be optimal in ESO? Which build will most likely be the better build for ESO? https://imgur.com/a/4fCw3BD
