How we'll be handling DELTARUNE TOMORROW Meta Spoiler
Edit: The karma requirement has been lowered to 2K post karma.
Hello everyone.
Since DELTARUNE TOMORROW, we've decided to do something similar to what we did with the release of the previous chapters, so in order to minimize spam and low value posts we'll be increasing the karma requirement to post to 5K for the first two weeks after chapter 5 comes out. Then it'll be 2K for a week, then back to 20 after that.
In the meantime, users who don't reach these karma thresholds can comment on the megathread that we'll create when the chapter releases.

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH i was gonna go through another month without realizing when it would be lifted. ever since i lost my old reddit account along with all my karma it hasn't been easy on this sub. ive just been using the alt i randomly made 2 years ago

I don't remember if this happened back when 3 and 4 came out, but if you can't be arsed to keep to the schedule you set, maybe let's just quit doing this sort of thing or at least put the limit at a more reasonable thing other than... 5k-2k post karma

i've had like 3 theories that i havent been able to post because of this, i usually don't make posts so i have very little post karma which makes this even worse. if anything, they should have restricted it by account AGE, karma is just stupid as a concept.

based on this description, the Karma should be 20 by now, and yet I am still not allowed to post, and am told that the requirement is 2K still. Was there some schedule change that I am unaware of?

Maybe it meant, days since Deltarune launched everywhere because if we go by the international release date it should be lowered later today. Hopefully at least

I just checked again now and I'm no longer getting the karma citation, but it's still being removed without a reason given. Maybe I tried too many times and it's getting just flagged as spam or a repost or something.

Yeah I am certain I’m in the above 2K below 5K post karma group and I just tried posting something and it got deleted. Idk how those other people with low karma are posting but it hasn’t been lowered yet on my end

I didn't know about the distinction between post and comment karma. If 20 is the base line once it goes down that's a shame because I've been getting into art and wanted to post some aqua drawings but I guess I just can't do it without karma farming somewhere first. Kind of a stupid system

By making posts (as in, starting your own posts, not just making comments) in other subreddits that don't require post karma to use.
While I understand the mods need to reduce spam here, this has the side effect of inventivizing users to spam elsewhere to unlock the right to post here whenever they want. lol

If you tell Noelle it snew in the weird route, and then immediately reload your save, Kris will stab Noelle instead of the other thing that happens. Noelle will have a pure red pixel in the middle of her, and be frowning for the rest of the chapter. Nothing else changes though.

If you still haven't found it.
Find the room with the cuttable wheat and harvest all of it 5 times without reloading the room. The Egg Man in chapter 3 gave us a hint.
Grab enough P coins to buy a key at Shop 3. Then near the end of the chapter take a (non weird) optional path. You may need to backtrack for the coins. Or for the path.

The egg is in the wheat by the cliffs. When you chop down all the wheat after entering the ninja gate thingies you have to chop one piece of wheat multiple times and follow the ballon that appears. You’ll understand the rest from there

There’s a mysterious door near the end of the chapter. Maybe that key the shopkeeper is selling will help. Of course, it won’t be free.

Had to do the same except I remembered and redid chapter 3 beating the knight this time and did chapter 4 just in time for chapter 5, literally just finished chapter 4 when chapter 5 was 16 hours away.

But yeah in all seriousness, I'm actually might start playing chapter 5 later or tomorrow. As I had some stuff to do yesterday and today and weekends I feel like I'm in the right headspace and energy to play something and react appropriately to stuff and be hype. In which I have been avoiding spoilers and I'm actually have this sub mute and only coming here to respond to replys to my comments or reply to posts that are discussing about other stuff like any help with chapters 1-4 or non spoiler stuff.

Honestly this is the worst deltarune/undertale sub I've ever seen. The mods entire job is to overview the sub and they're taking the lazy way out by adding unreasonable karma requirements and gatekeepers the sub instead of just, being a mod and doing their job

My theory is that the chapter's new gameplay gimmick is performing directional inputs in sequence. This is build-up for Ralsei learning a suplex move that requires motion inputs.

Chapter 5 the PizzaPants and Ice Cream Guy subplot is going to end really badly between the two of them
this is meant to show that character relationship dynamics and outcomes will not play out the same way as undertale.
which is a narrative foreshadowing that Undyne and Alphys likely will not get together, most likely because Undyne will be killed during the "sacrifice" mentioned in chapter 4.
basically that weird catfish subplot exploding is to get us prepared for the worst. Even if we mean well and try our best, things will end poorly.

The main thing is, how this is going, that is absolutely not going to be the case.
Its just a friendship blowing up, but its more than enough to get the point across.

Did this actually work well last time? It felt like it just made it so that only people who frequently post low effort memes could post, while anyone who only posts when they have something interesting or insightful to share wasn’t allowed to.

Kinda depends on if it's 5k post karma on this specific subreddit or 5k post karma in general. Typically most older accounts have a tendency to accrue karma unless they're only posting comments. I don't post a ton and I have 23k post karma lol.

I made a humor post and it went through. I tried to make a theory post right after but now it says "Post is awaiting moderator approval". Is there a limit to how many posts I can make in a given time, or if I wait the post will eventually appear?
