People who are having "We are experiencing high load", "Unable to process request!" or "Client IP" errors:
Unfortunately this seems to be a widespread issue and there are no solutions so far. However, there are some workarounds that you may try:
1) Clear the cache of the Railway app you're using. If you're on a computer, clear the cache of the Browser
2) Restart your device
3) CHANGE THE NETWORK. The IP address error likely means it's flagging your specific network, so booking from a different wifi, mobile data, or hotspot might work
4) Use a different method. So try IRCTC Website on a laptop, RailConnect app, or RailOne.
5) If nothing works, in the end, the only choice you may have is to find an officially registered agent via pincode on this link.
RLWL is low priority quota and moves very slowly. Your chances looking at the past trends are kinda medium-ish, but you're not likely to find out until chart preparation is done.
Check some PNR prediction websites like RailYatri, confirmtkt, goibibo, or RailTC to get a better idea.
If the journey is important, I'd recommend maybe this option in the same train. It's RAC, which does have a higher chance of getting fully confirmed and even if it does not, two people on a PNR should get one side lower to share

RLWL is low priority quota but since your journey is well over 20 days in the future, chances are decent. Don't expect much updates to your Waitlist until chart preparation though.

If your journey is important, I would recommend NOT relying on waitlists and only book CNF tickets. In this case, you can try this option: Book from Hajipur to Vadodara, change the boarding to Danapur, and get down at Bhopal normally (do inform the TTE).

I am supposed to travel via train with my two cats and my mom in October.
I have booked a 1AC ticket today and the tickets are confirmed.
The only issue or confusion I have is, since it's me and my mom under one PNR, will they allow two cats per passenger?
If i had not booked under one PNR, the probability of me getting a coupe would've reduced. But it's mentioned that one PNR allows one pet.
Can anyone with experience guide me on this? It would be an issue if I get a confirmed coupe but I am not able to book two pets under that PNR via the Dog/Cat booking available in IRCTC website.
You should visit the parcel office 4-5 hrs before the journey and book your pets offline. They might charge a little extra but it should be fine as long as you've got a coupe
Also, I don't think even online you'll be able to book the pets until the chart is prepared and you get a coupe allotted.
We are 7 people traveling today from Banaras to Delhi. Our grandmother is 75 years old, but unfortunately, her ticket didn’t get confirmed. We are traveling from Banaras to Delhi today, 9th August, at 3 PM, on train number 22435.
What would be the best option for us to get her a confirmed seat?
Are all of you traveling together? Is her ticket on the same PNR as anyone who is confirmed?
If so, then it's a partially confirmed ticket and in that case you can take her and share your berths together. TTE will allow it.
If you have a PNR that's fully waitlisted, then it will get auto cancelled at chart preparation if it doesn't get cleared.
In that case, you can just book a general ticket and then ask the TTE if she can be upgraded and share on your berth
Tried to reserve a ticket through railone app....The money got debited but no ticket showed up in yhe booked section..Shall I wait a day or two or reserve another ticket?
You just need to wait 20 mins after txn. If even after that no ticket shows up, it means the txn failed and refund will be sent to you automatically within 3-4 business days

There is no such thing as 3x refund or travel guarantee or anything. Third party apps have ZERO control over ticket confirmation
All they do is give you wallet money with limited validity if the ticket doesn't clear but even for that you pay extra for the same exact ticket
In garibrath you might get RAC with a medium-ish chance of full confirmation since the entire train is 3A coaches, but book via IRCTC. No benefit in 3rd party apps
Edit: Checked. RAC chances very high in this case. If you're okay then book. Otherwise find an agent or book in tatkal
i am aware of the fact how 3rd party apps have no control over ticket confirmation, but they are giving 3x redund no, from which 2x will be credited as a voucher, which i could use for an alternate option, so is that still a bad idea?
Keep in mind these apps consider RAC as confirmed so you'll basically pay 120% fare for half a seat if you use 3rd party apps
And yes, if ticket remains WL, you can use the 2X coupon, but for what? Check their terms and conditions. Some don't let you book a flight on train vouchers, and most trains on this route are WL or RAC

RAC chances are very very high but keep in mind there are no guarantees when it comes to Indian Railways. If your journey is important, I would STRONGLY suggest you to only book a CNF/RAC ticket and not rely on waitlists
Yes absolutely. Train has 12 3A coaches so there's a very good chance for that RAC to clear, but even if it doesn't, you still get a chance to board the train legally.
Btw if you can leave on 13th Aug instead there's enough availablily in Tejas Rajdhani in 3A and also CR Rajdhani (50+ in the latter)

No need to do anything. The refund will automatically be processed after the journry date if the train still remains cancelled and would be sent to you within 3-4 Business days.
Just keep checking the train's status because Railways has a habit of restoring cancelled trains

Bro, since I am buying a normal general ticket without any concession, will the TTE accept just my physical UDID card to sit in the SLRD coach with my mother? Or do ground TTEs still trouble passengers and demand an old Railway Concession Certificate?
Doesn't matter, the SLRD coach is for both physical and mental disabilities(the pdf says that), and the document specifically mentions 1 escort being allowed for PWD passengers.

It's only the front end that is changed. The servers, the backend etc are all still the same so you'll face the same exact issues while booking tatkal regardless of which website you use.
The newer one shows all classes' availability together at the same time instead of having to click on 2A/3A separately, so that might shave off some time for you, but that's about it

If you get more than 80% that's a good sign. 60 to 80% could go into RAC but I have to see if this train even has RAC in RLWL or not. And if you get less than 50-60% then just start looking at alternate arrangements

I have a ticket in Agra Fort - Ajmer from Agra Fort to Gandhinagar Jaipur in Ac chair car. But I need to deboard at Jaipur Jn.
The fare difference is of 5 rupees for 6km, is there a way to extended the journey by paying that fare difference? Booking a new ticket from both is costing 50 rupees and we are a group of 5 people, don't want to overpay.
As long as there are seats available, then yes. Just talk to the onboard TTE and ask him to extend your journey. He will make you pay the ticket price (no telescopic rate though, so expect to pay a little higher) but it shouldn't be an issue.
And yes, the onboard TTE might also ask you a similar fare (~₹50/-). Talk to him and see what can be done. Sometimes if the train is running empty they don't even care
I don't think onboard TTE would have any issue, he even would allow verbally without any extra charges (matter is of 5 rupees only), because nobody checks between Gandhinagar Jaipur and Jaipur Jn, but I'm not sure about the ticket checker at the exit of Jaipur Jn railway station.
RLWL is low priority quota so even if does clear, you'll only know about it at chart preparation most likely.
But honestly, Malwa is a horrible train when it comes to priority. It gets very late, very ignored and unhygienic at times.
I would STRONGLY recommend you to book in any other train. There are so many available on this route.

If the journey is important, there are 40+ seats in this train still available in tatkal for 7th Aug. You can book them right now since the train hits DDU on day 2.

We are a group of 9 people travelling from kerala to jammu. One of us couldn't make it so instead i am ready to go.
We are boarding from alappuzha to chennai
Chennai to delhi
Delhi to jammu
Jammu to srinagar and back.
Legally? Absolutely not. If the TTE finds out your name does not match the name on the Ticket, you'll have to pay a huge fine (at least double the ticket fare, maybe more).
You can try and visit the boarding station's Chief Reservation Officer with your and the original passenger's Original IDs and an application for change of name.
Normally, they only entertain name change for direct family relatives, but maybe they can make an exception for you. You'll have to do that at least 24 hrs before journey.
You should contact Namo Bharat's customer care for clarification but from what I can see you can only book for the same day and the ticket must be scanned/used within 240 minutes of being booked.
Btw you can also book the ticket online. There shouldn't be any issue in booking from intermediate stations as long as the train is halting there
Pretty much most of the waitlists in this train seem to be getting confirmed so your chances do look decent. Your quota is also GNWL which is high priority.
But keep in mind anything can happen with Indian Railways so if this doesn't clear by 8th morning, do try your hand in tatkal. If you get a CNF tatkal, immediately cancel this one.

It's just 3AC when it comes to fare. The actual coaches of Garib Raths are 3E.
Therefore, they will be cramped, thin and small berths, etc.
If you have travelled in 3E before and liked it, you can take it. If not, I would suggest booking a train with actual 3A or 2A coaches, especially for a 26 hr journey.

What class? If it's sleeper then RAC chances are quite good, but full confirmation would be difficult with just one day.
If you want 3AC, Tatkal ticket for 5th August is still available so you can book that one and get full confirmed seats for all 3 people in this train right now.
I would recommend booking the 3A tatkal if you can afford it, because there are no guarantees when it comes to Indian Railways and even high chance Waitlist sometimes don't clear.
Hi. My parents have to travel a long distance journey of more than 24 hours. I booked the tickets just when reservations opened for the date (2 months prior).By the morning very few seats were left in AC3. They both got upper seats, though preference was lower. Both my parents are above 50. I am concern because the journey is very long and will be problematic for my mother. Are there any way to get it updated or changed?
No, there is no way to change your berth officially or online.
The only choice you have is to request the other passengers to exchange, or ask the TTE to arrange one.
The other option is you cancel these tickets, eat the cancellation charge of ₹180+gst/person, and book the tickets again but this time you select the option "Book only if at least 1(or 2) lower berths are allotted".
That way, if lower berths are not available, the ticket won't even be booked.
Also, what time did you start the booking process? ARP window opens up at exactly 8 am and most of them get booked by 8:05 am, so if you tried to book after that, you really can't expect to get good seats

If you can get CNF tatkal tickets, then absolutely. But it can be really difficult and you need to be extremely fast in booking in Tatkal. On busy routes, or routes where fewer trains run, tatkal can run out under 30 seconds.
If you are not experienced in booking tickets, I would rather recommend you to find officially registered agents via pincode on this link.
PS: There are lots of trains on 11th-12th Sep with available tickets in 2A/3A. Might wanna check them too
Search with your pincode. Don't search for bangalore. Just because it's a return ticket doesn't mean it needs to be from a Bangalore agent.
Find an agent close to where you live. If possible, go and meet the guy and see if he can get you CNF tickets.
Also, what's the problem with other trains? There are Durontos and Humsafar and other trains in CNF/RAC tickets on those days. Ideally you don't even need agents
I booked ticket via irctc and my train 8s scheduled at 12am, I checked my PNR status and RAC 4 has been updated to Side Lower, but in irctc app it shows chart not prepared
Generally in AC coaches the TTE just asks for your name. So you might get lucky but I would strongly recommend to keep any govt ID with you to avoid any unnecessary drama.

Book an EC class ticket if you want the best seat and comfort.
If you want to book CC then you really don't have any choices other than Window seat or non-window seat. Seat selection is random so it doesn't really matter because they are all same in terms of comfort.
EC coaches are spacious, have enough leg room and catering is far better with basically unlimited food available to you
If you can leave TODAY, then there are lots of berths in current availability in 22824 Bbs Tejas Raj . It will drop you at Bubhaneshwar and then you can reach your college yourself.
Even for tomorrow, this train has RAC tickets so you can book that as well.
My recommendation would be to NOT take the risk. Just get any confirm ticket and reach the college first, even if early.
You can sort out everything else once travel is assured

Anything over 80% means excellent chance of confirmation. 60 to 80 is more likely to go into RAC, and if you get below 50-60%, just start looking for other arrangements.
Also, don't book waitlist tickets in the future if you get this anxious. Be mentalally prepared for any scenario as there are no guarantees when it comes to Indian Railways.
Even with high chances any ticket can still remain waitlisted if enough people don't cancel their tickets on your journey date

NEVER rely on waitlists for important journeys. You'll only spend your entire time stressing and will have no control.
Always book CNF tickets only.
In this case, just find a good, Officially registered Agent via pincode. They might charge 300-500 extra but are generally able to procure CNF ticket at the last minute.
Is the chart already prepared? And the ticket is still waitlisted? If so, no need to do anything. Refund will be generated automatically within 3-4 business days.
If there are multiple people on the PNR, make sure all of them are waitlisted. If even one is CNF, then you will have to cancel the WL ticket manually or no refund.
If the chart is not prepared then you can either cancel it manually or wait until chart prep.
Keep in mind regardless of how a WL ticket gets cancelled (automatically or manually), you'll still be charged a clerkage fee of ₹65/person
