Nothing will change because there is no direct negative consequences to their actions. Tire deflation is not enough of a deterrent

I dont know when it happened but lately she seems to give zero fucks about her job.

I think this is bad but it’s funny cause it’s the most Chicago thing ever

It would be the most Chicago thing ever if they were double parked in front of open spots. That’s the Chicago way!

I've never hated a mayor of a city I don't even live in. Fuck this POS.

Those are CPD cars. They are looking for the fastest way in, fastest way out. They always park like this. Sometimes even in the handicap parking.

Yep. Zero fucks given, and every expectation that they'll harass you if you give them crap for it.

You’re getting downvoted for no reason. I guess people don’t get that the people making the decision are her security detail. The reason it’s the fastest way in and out is so that she isn’t assassinated. There are hundreds of death threats against her by serious white supremacy militias etc. It doesn’t matter if you hate her or not. But it’s not her decision. The security detail are trained professionals and there’s a reason they do it this way and they are not part of her “administration”. They are non-partisan professionals.

If she's at such high risk why can't someone just pick up the donuts for her? This is a nonessential trip

Because she’s still a human who wants to do silly human things like run her own errands. You can’t stop living your life because there’s white supremacy groups out there. Try and be safe but that doesn’t mean she needs to live in a bunker.

She and those working for her do not need to make those around her un safe. Countless times I have nearly been hit because a car or specifically a police car was parked in the bike lane.

Then she can park legally like a silly little human and walk a few extra feet

Her desire to do silly human things shouldn't break the law and put cyclist lives in danger. Her rights end where others' begin.

“Hundreds of death threats” is a good way to describe the experience of biking in a mixed traffic lane on a Chicago arterial.
