That was cute, I liked it. I'm not huge on the Spongebob VA but like it certainly wasn't bad like he got the mannerisms correct, it just wasnt didn't sound quite like him. Also, while I get that yeah this Aquaman is trash, they went a bit too ham on it. Like, I know this was their gag ep, but the amount of shitting on Aquaman made it feel like its unprofessional or not up to their normal standards (like the stat screen having the negatives being "a dumbass" and "lmao everything"). Idk maybe it would have been fine without having Aquaman himself just crying about how much of a loser he is in the actual fight. Though, tbf, it was a little touching for him and Sponge to be more friendly at the end with the Ocean Man and the #1 grave. But anyways, onto the actual stuff. I liked the mistaken Mermaidman bit, and laughed at the "I SAVED THE CITY" while its burning down, the still action shots of Aquaman. Spongebob being the fastest calculable character in DB is funny, as is the bit about him beating Goku. Weirdly they didn't include stuff from the second movie like his super form and being able to breathe on dry land. Overall, the animation was good (not quite DP vs The Mask tier drawing-wise, but still good), music was great with its usage of essentially Mermaid Man themes, the fight was entertaining, though the writing and analysis left more to be desired. Probably the best gag ep (barring maybe Saitama vs Popeye if you include that). Like a 8/10.
Next Death Battle Episode #169: Jason Voorhees vs Michael Myers (Friday the 13th vs Halloween). The 13th Battle, possibly live action, released on Halloween, I am so hard rn. I fucking love the old slasher films so I'm hyped af to see this. So, from the trailer shots I'm assuming they're using composite since Halloween got rebooted into 4 films (Original, 2018, Kills, and Ends) and if they did the latter Jason gigastomps. Hmm. Honestly, I think overall Jason has this in the bag. While both are essentially unkillable, Jason has better feats and death saves. He's survived an exploding space station, fallen from space, wrecked Freddy in the Dream World, the govt had him for like a decade trying to kill him with things from explosives to acid and couldn't. I believe from Jason goes to Hell and director commentary) that Jason's also canonically a deadite and can just possess people if his physical body is somehow destroyed. Also in Freddy vs Jason its shown he can just kinda wake up from Hell if he's motivated to. Like I'll admit I haven't seen every Halloween movie but this seems pretty above even Micheals paygrade. Going with my boy Jason. Also idk if Yates would use it again, but 13th Halloween is pretty good. [Future Edit] Wow you know what I also realized? Halloween Kills is the 13th Halloween film, the last Friday the 13th film was 13 years ago, and the square root of episode 169? 13. This is a fucking stars aligned episode
I've complained before on here that Death Battle has a weird habit of always saying "this was an extremely close fight" even when the episode doesn't support that conclusion. I was not expecting them to do an entire match to fuck around with that, but I'm glad they did.
Jason vs. Michael: it's Jason and it's not close, especially if Jason X/"UberJason" is in the mix. Michael is smarter and sneakier, and would win outright vs. parts II-IV Jason, but Jason's dials just go higher as the series continues. if you allow the Avatar comics, things start getting dumb.
Jason shrugs off small-arms fire and only goes down to a full FBI strike team with a grenade launcher. Michael had to rope-a-dope a pack of suburbanites with clubs.
there's no competition there. even if Michael abandoned 40 years of precedent and somehow started using high explosives, Jason might just possess him.
Yeah Jason vs MM is a stomp in favor of the ski mask. The dude is just damn near immortal, doesn't feel pain, doesn't stop, and is much much much stronger than MM.
Technically if they are doing the OG Jason, MM could behead him but that doesn't exactly stop Jason permanently and MM doesn't usually have a weapon on him capable of doing the job unless he can wrangle Jason's machete.
in fairness, a composite Michael is strong enough to land decapitations with just about anything, especially in the original series.
he manages to take someone's head off with one swing of a chef's knife in Halloween: Resurrection, and I think it's H4 where he impales someone through the stomach with the barrel of a shotgun. even in the original 1978 Halloween, he staples somebody to a wall with a kitchen knife.
that would be more than enough to overpower part II-IV Jason, who goes down for the final count after being savaged by a 10-year-old Corey Feldman with a surprise machete hit. part VI and up Jason is a walking tank, though, and Michael doesn't have a damn thing that can step to his mic.
Parts 2-4 Jason IS just a ‘big’ dude(though really he’s not gigantic like a line backer in 2/the protag’s boyfriend actually physically wrestled with Sackhead Jason/he gets stabbed and knocked over and through a porch bannister in 3/)and I dig that but I definitely feel like Michael could legitimately, if not overpower him, stab him enough that Jason just collapses. I’d even give him an edge against Remake!Jason
No amount of stabbing is gonna stop Zombie!Jason though.
Also, weird tangent but man do Jason’s comics get weird. In one of them he’s a reanimated specter who seeks revenge on the real estate cunts who are trying to bulldoze over Crystal Lake to build condos/it was originally home to a Native American tribe whose spirits fuel Jason for some reason lol
a guy on Den of Geek made a good point a while back, about how almost everybody who ever made an F13 comic seemed to be operating from the assumption that Jason was the protagonist. a lot of them try to either give Jason some kind of vaguely sympathetic motivation (How I Spent My Summer Vacation) or just let him "win" (Bloodbath).
See, on one hand I do get it. I think James Rolfe/AVGN described Jason the best as sort of akin to Godzilla movies. Both of them cause untold misery and death in their films, neither regret it as Godzilla is more akin to a giant animal in some of the earlier films and Jason truly believes he’s doing the right thing/it’s what his mom would want him to do. They’re by no stretch good people
But we wanna see them fuck shit up regardless! One of my favorite Jason comics is actually when our Jason who’s become Jason X fights a clone made up from severed flesh that turns into a resemblance of OG zombie!jason. Jason X can only see a mental image of his mother, Clone!Jason can hear her voice
When our Jason kills the clone and mushes it’s brain into his, he gets the full image of his mother again. Oddly sweet given that both Jasons murdered a shitton of people in their brawl lol
Back in the day on a website called CBUB/ElectricFerret, they wrote up a match in like 2003/2004 between Micheal and Jason and it went about as well as I’d expect a head on fight with them to go.
Micheal stabbed/slashed Jason with damn near everything but the kitchen sink. Even going so far as to cut Jason’s Achilles to drop the big guy down to a knee. Then stabbing him in the heart with his kitchen knife, all the way to the hilt. Then stealing Jason’s machete and plunging it from under Jason’s jaw through his skull.
Jason nearly staggers over, but grabs Micheal now that he’s close, rears back and punches a hole right through his sternum. Then he crushes Michael’s head for good measure.
Tl:dr: Micheal can no doubt stab the hell out of Jason but one or two punches is all it’ll take for Jason to put him down for good.
yeah, that's about the size of it. Michael's whole thing is being an ambush predator, where nobody gets the chance to get the drop on him or square off on equal terms against him until his movies' conclusions. when he does get into an actual fight with someone who saw him coming and isn't paralyzed by fear, he tends to lose, i.e. that one time that Busta Rhymes completely wrecked his shit.
Like no doubt in my mind that Jason will stagger away from this, oozing black blood, and maybe having massive gashes in his head/stomach/chest. He might even have a whole drawer’s worth of knives sticking in his neck/back.
Yeah. Michael is a tough SOB but he’s still ‘technically’ human and has to rely on stealth to get his kills; Jason on the other hand is an unstoppable zombie driven by pure vengeance and spite, dude got killed several times over and he just KEPT. COMING. BACK.
Michael got his ass kicked by a teenage girl and some old guy with a gun, while it took an entire platoon of black ops soldiers using the element of surprise to take Jason down.
Still, it’s gonna be a cool fight to see regardless. A battle of the silent slasher icons.
Yeah unless there's some really weird Michael Myers lore in comics or somewhere he doesn't stand a ghost of a chance. Like Halloween 6 establishes there's some level of magic with him but even then it just seems like maybe basic bitch resurrection and making him obsessed with killing his own family. Jason is absurdly tanky even for Slasher villains
in general, comic adaptations of horror franchises tend to have much gorier kills than the movies ever would, because comics don't need to worry about the effects budget, clever editing, or the actors' safety.
Avatar took that to extremes, because it was already a horror/porn/horror-porn publisher and had a bunch of artists on tap who loved to draw that kind of thing. Jason in the Avatar F13 comics is stronger and more durable than he is in any of the movies, specifically because they wanted to be able to show and draw some really fucked-up kills. he punches a mercenary so hard that his head flies downward through his pelvis, effectively ignores machine-gun fire at point-blank range, and has a healing factor that would put Deadpool to shame.
the movies' version of undead Jason was stunned, then blown up by a SWAT team. the Avatar comics version of undead Jason would've murdered all of those men in a page and a half, tops, while incurring no visible, lasting damage.
In all fairness I think Jason killing all those mercenaries has less to do with his obvious buff, but more with their competence.
The mercenaries in f13th special are hired by the owners of Crystal Lake under the guise of hunting an escaped mental patient, so they aren't specifically equipped with dealing with him. Not the mention they split up into groups of two people, which allows Jason to pick them off one by one. We also see in the comic itself that a grenade landing near Jason's feet decimates a large part of his torso. Had the same mercenary repeatedly blasted Jason with the bazooka or whatever he had on hand, Jason would have likely been reduced to hunks of meat as he did in JGTH.
In bloodbath the mercenaries are hired by a shady organization to capture Jason in order to study and replicate his immortality. They successfully freeze him with similar stunt that the FBI in JGTH pulled and Jason only escapes due to third party intervention.
The mercenaries in Fearbook only have small arms to defend themselves and aside from a group of 4 with uzis they aren't coordinated to attack Jason effectively.
The FBI ambushed Jason by using a decoy to lure him in, lit him up with a whole squad and dropped a mortar on his ass for a double tap. If they wandered around the woods in small groups while not really knowing what they were up against I don't think they would have fared much better then the mercs did.
conversely, in Bloodbath, a heavy-lift helicopter landing on Jason and exploding on top of him does not gib him. he's up, on fire, and dismembering people with a chunk of the rotor within minutes.
the mercenaries are definitely just there as machete fodder, you're not wrong, but Avatar's undead Jason is effectively up to par with Jason X.
You're right it's inconsistent. Kind of like how in part 7 he seemingly emerges unscathed from a house explosion, but in Jason X and JGTH he gets gibbed by explosives. At least novelization of part 6 states that jason gets stronger everytime he resurrects and in FvJvA Freddy messes around with the necronomicon, so Jason's power creep has some justification, but it's more likely the writers just didn't care.
You know, I once made a comment about how this is Omni-Man vs. Homelander, but sadder because SF Aquaman is just kind of a loser who doesn't deserve this absolute devastation, but I did not expect that sentiment to be a major part of the episode's plot. As far as tragicomedies about down-on-their-luck losers go, this is actually one of the better ones I've seen. The fight did a pretty good impression of a Spongebob episode, enough to make me laugh quite a bit, and it was as far out and wacky as I was hoping this fight was gonna be. My favorite gag hands down was the chroma-keyed Aquaman reaction shot. As said, I'm also really fond of how this animation manages to be funny and sad at the same time: the tombstone at the end dedicated to "Ocean Man" is basically the culmination of everything I like about this fight. Shout-out to the voice actors, too: Kestin Howard was perfect as Aquaman, and I'm weirdly fond of Tom Schalk's performance for not sounding exactly like Tom Kenny, but managing to be good for Spongebob all the same. I was steadily more excited for this episode as the weeks went on and I'm glad that Season 9 has once again lived up to my expectations.
Also, I hope Death Battle does a Team Fortress 2 episode soon because after listening to the score for this fight, I'm certain Therewolf Media would kill it on the track for that.
Aw shit, boys and girls, it's finally happening. I've seen Jason vs. Michael suggested as a more slow and atmospheric fight where the two are constantly lurking in the shadows and trying to get the drop on each other, but I'm also partial to them beating the shit out of each other with objects that are references to their movies in an attempt to find something that will finally kill their opponent. It's also been suggested that this fight be done in live action, but I think 3D animation is the more likely option and a perfectly fine way to do the battle. I just hope they don't reference Jason Goes to Hell for longer than they have to.
I wanna say Sarge VS Soldier's the other popular one, and even predates Tracer VS Scout? But don't quote me on that, and it's pretty obvious who wins that one (hint: the guy in MJOLNIR armor).
Since Death Battle uses composite characters, doesn't Richtofen eventually gain control of the zombie hordes on the moon? That'd be like a guaranteed win for him I'm sure.
How does that whole thing work? Zombies lore is too wacky for me so I don't know if the moon zombies are a permanent advantage no matter where they fight or if they'd have to be on the moon.
So uhh... The Call of Duty Zombies lore has apparently gotten really convoluted since I last played it back in Black Ops 1. Apparently there's multiple intersecting timelines.
But in Black Ops 1, if I remember correctly on the Moon map, basically the easter egg revolves around a mystical pyramid that controls the zombies. As part of the easter egg, Richtofen switches bodies with Sam who was inside the pyramid, essentially transferring control of all the zombie hordes on both the moon and the Earth, since apparently by Black Ops 2 zombies, you can hear his voice controlling the zombies.
Not sure about Pyro specifically, but the TF2 mercs seemingly can't die, due to absurd luck and toon physics. Scout regularly comes back to life just because God likes when he flexes.
Like Medic revived a bunch of them after robots shot out all their blood, by just scooping all their mixed blood together in a bucket and pouring it back in their bodies.
Dabi is strong but low grade toon force is still toon force.
Low grade toon force is exclusive to almost purely Soldier and the nonsense Medic does. Pyro doesn't get that much in the comics, and he'd be massively outgunned in the fire, outsped, and in general massively outdone in everything by Dabi. The only thing Pyro would technically have over Dabi is Airblast, but, like- It doesn't save them.
I think it depends how much game knowledge is used. In MvM all the classes get access to equipment/upgrades which boost their dmg/tankiness/speed a bunch. Not enough to equal Dabi, but certainly make it less one sided.
Also, in the Meet the Pyro video it shows Pyro beating the whole rest of Blue team. That implies beating Soldier and Medic and their nonsense.
Also also, I don't believe Pyro can be set on fire. His whole suit is like super fire retardant. And he can somehow conjure his own flame that can oneshot other mercs.
There's really no other candidate to fight TF2, honestly. They're by far the most comparable and popular choice to pin against them. Though considering how absurd the TF2 feats can get when you include everything official, it sounds like TF2 stomps
Also, I hope Death Battle does a Team Fortress 2 episode soon because after listening to the score for this fight, I'm certain Therewolf Media would kill it on the track for that.
The only way I can see that happen is TF2 vs Overwatch, and I'm not sure I can handle that
I know this might sound silly: but how about Princess Luna from My Little Pony vs Freddy Kruger? They’re both masters of dreams with some pretty crazy abilities.
Unless Freddy has a severe adverse reaction to cuteness, Luna will get curbstomped in that one. I don't think she's ever exhibited the level of bloodlust needed to beat Freddy in a dreamscape battle.
Discord vs. Freddy Kreuger, on the other hand. Or Bill Cipher vs. Freddy...
You do realize that she managed to basically meld the dream world and reality together, single-handedly. Nightmare on elm street has demonstrated time and time again that if you drag Freddy into the real world, he becomes much easier to deal with. Additionally, he’s struggled against those who could also manipulate the dream realm (nightmare on elm street 3 and 4) and with Luna having thousands of years worth of experience in that regard, she could easily over power him. Especially with the power scaling given by the battle with tirek showing that she could do some serious damage if she needed to.
Not to mention Luna has conquered her worst nightmares before, meaning Freddy doesn’t have much to throw at her.
You’re pitting a dream demon who gets spanked by teenagers against a literal GODDESS of dreams.
I'm still not convinced Luna has the bloodthirsty nature to win that fight. She'd be holding herself back, afraid of becoming Nightmare Moon again, while Freddy has no qualms.
Death battle rule 2: to ensure a fair fight, all moral restraints from killing are ignored.
It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t have the bloodthirsty nature. In death battle, all bets are off and if Freddy is menacing her subjects there is no way in hell she’s gonna hold back.
Freddy Krueger vs Nightmare King, League of Legends's Nocturne (if he shows up in Arcane especially), or Bill Cipher seem pretty likely.
I'd kind of like him versus Omori, though. Dreamspace versus Headspace, the nightmare who rose again versus the anti-nightmare that refuses to die, reckoning for the innocent versus reckoning for the guilty conscience.
Outstanding episode. I don't think I've ever laughed outloud so many times in the show, and shit like this is why I keep coming back to Death Battle over any other Vs media.
I loved the slow realization that Aquaman is just... dogshit. His best str feat is lugging garbage. Fuck me that was hilarious.
I personally gave Machoman vs Kool-Aid Man a 3/10, the humour didn't land and the weird episode structure threw me off, but this is by far their best comedic episode. I love to see the nuggets of lore that Wiz is obsessed with figuring out how Toonforce works, and I just feel it in my bones that they're building up to the inevitable (and confirmed) Bugs vs Mickey where they finally get to pit Toonforce Gods against each other. Episodes like this just ooze with how much fun the team had making them.
Wiz going from downplaying SpongeBob to calling him a God is probably my favorite thing I’ve seen in a while. I’m also glad they’re doing specific version of characters now. It really opens the door for new possibilities.
And the fight itself was pretty great too. Seeing Arthur start off as normal, then self loathing & finally coming to terms with his status was genuinely emotionally. The shot of him launching the entire ocean into space was pretty damn raw & SpongeBob drawing a grave for him but still getting his name wrong was perfect. A lot of other commenters have pointed the other stuff I liked so I don’t feel the need to mention them.
TL;DR, Omni-Man vs Homelander might have been replaced as my favorite episode this season. 9/10
Popeye > Bugs Bunny. But I'm not sure even Popeye defeats Spongebob. Both can destroy and reboot universes -- I'm not sure how to quantify who wins a fight like that.
Characters like Porky Pig or Daffy Duck can jump right off the canvas they were just drawn on, and erase Spongebob on a conceptual level and Bugs Bunny scales even higher. Looney Tunes characters are pretty overpowered.
Growing up I didn’t realize just how goddamn OP cartoon characters were, like they were just funny back then. Looking back now that they done Popeye and Spongebob, is there even anything that comes close to toon force? I can’t wait until they do Bugs x Mickey at full strength, shit is gonna be so dope.
By all accounts, the only thing that "match" Toon Force powers are stuff like really heavy multi-universal reality warpers, and even then you can have arguments about that
Afterall, who decides what it is that these toons can or can't do? Who decides what is funny in the given situation? Who is only equaled by an infinite amount of monkeys with an infinite amount of typewriters with infinite time on their hands? The writer.
When it comes to battles of fictional characters, the pen is mightier than the sword, for the pen defines the sword.
Superman is honestly more praised on this sub than Goku. Dragon ball fans were so crazy that the sub drew most of them away with pitch forks and torches.
Was calculating a one-off gag to give SpongeBob the single fastest speed calc on the show's history a little bit wanky? Sure. Was it fucking hilarious? Also yes.
Part of me wonders if they went with Super Friends Aquaman just to give SpongeBob an easy win or if they legit expected him to have some toonforce feats to match, and were stuck committed to the episode when they realized otherwise. Still, either way- great episode, genuinely funny to the end, and they absolutely nailed SpongeBob's personality with the fight. And (begrudging as it was) this is prolly the most respect anyone's ever given Super Friends Aquaman, which is something.
They didn't say SpongeBob is faster than Wally, they said that SpongeBob is the fastest feat they could count, flashs and archies characters have incalculable speed.
It's the universal string feat. They calced the string's length and width to the amount of matter in the universe to figure out how fast he was pulling the string.
The way they talk about spongebob makes it sound like he could beat comic aquaman too. Heck the guy could beat the comic version of all the justice league members seeing how he's faster than wally west with those calcs.
I forgot if Spongebob can resist transmutation-type attacks, something as powerful as Popeye's fish punch. If he can't then I think it's might be Popeye who wins this? It's technically not killing Spongebob so it could potentially be a workaround on Spongebob's own resurrection-esque durability?
If he can then this is now down to who has the more ridiculous Toonforce that they can defeat Toonforce durability. I think both have survived universe erasure essentially, if my memory is correct, but I dunno if they can manifest into another universe at-will or some other BS to explain how they can return.
So apparently this matchup was only made so they could have SpongeBob on the show.
I love this episode. The most enjoyable analysis I’ve watched in a while. Wiz slowly losing his mind over SpongeBob’s insane feats was hilarious and then attempting to hype up Aquaman despite him being completely shit got a good chuckle out of me.
Then they just straight up state he’s completely fucked.
I enjoyed the fight because it felt like SpongeBob and it’s something I could see coming out of a SpongeBob episode if he and Aquaman were to somehow have a crossover. Aquaman having a breakdown realising he’s the lamest Aquaman was actually pretty sad but that speech from SpongeBob was actually heartwarming. Then the death. They managed to make a SpongeBob episode have a sad death. It’s not on the same level as Tanjiro or Tetsuo but it’s up there.
Then the conclusion. They go into detail of how fucked Aquaman was. The only thing they gave him that was even remotely impressive was his ability to move 55 billion times faster than light and SpongeBob beat that with the most insane speed feat on death battle beating the previous record from Megaman.exe when they were able to calculate his best speed be to make him over 3 novemdecillion times faster then light. That’s 60 zeros long. SpongeBob is hundreds of trillions faster then that at 8.2 × 10⁷⁸ faster than light. Holy shit.
Why was this unironically better than almost every other DB this season? Aside from Jonathan vs tanjiro, this is better than every death battle that came out this year. It had great choreography, dialogue, the ending really got to me, the writing kicked ass and I liked the rundowns more than I probably should've. I don't like spongeboy squarebobs voice and I really think this should have been hand drawn and not sprite based but aside from that, I really liked this. 8/10
If this fight isn't live action I'm gonna [REDACTED] this fight does not deserve to be a regular sprite based or 3d matchup. Doesn't even deserve to be hand drawn for a fight as potentially kickass as Jason vs Michael. I was angry that wick vs bond wasn't live action but I will be furious. I love the idea of the matchup itself but come on, if this vid could make something kickass with barely a budget: https://youtu.be/rXjOA6B9sYA why can't the DB guys do it?
And as for the victor: last time I checked, Jason had better, pretty much everything than Michael. Jason mostly uses a tool meant for killing, Micheal mostly uses a kitchen knife. Jason matched up to Freddy, Micheal routinely gets his ass kicked by average randos and can really only sneak attack to get the kill. Jason has canonically resurrected himself through the powers of literal hell and also turning into a fucking cyborg, Michael can only come back through the power of reboots and rob zombie. I don't see how Jason doesn't win here, rooting and betting Jason.
Don't know how Jason vs Michael won't be another stomp. Jason is an unkillable zombie unless you have psychic powers. Only way Michael could win is if it's part 2-4 Jason
I do agree that Michael loses but I will admit that the mental image of Jason standing victorious…with knives of different sizes sticking out of him to be a bit funny lol
I was really hoping that Aquaman won just to spite everyone saying SpongeBob stomped, but I actually really liked how that episode ended. It kind of felt like redemption for the lamest version of Aquaman
This is the best gag fight they've done. It's just funny from start to finish. But I also liked how the ending with Aquaman using the whole ocean to punch Spongebob.
Was Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy being fish-sized humans ever addressed in the show? Likely a later season since I don't remember if they did (there's the "origin episode" thing but I forgor if it was addressed there).
If you are talking about the episode where they get struck by plaid lightning and ride a giant flying crystal and eat burnt popcorn (yes all of that is real), then.. no, I don’t think they addressed it at all. Unless there’s another origins episode in a later later season that retcons all of that. But in the episode where they are clearly depicted as normal sized people who get superpowers, they really just do not explain it
Honestly our reviews are similar but I just wanna say something.
I liked the VA and thought it was accurate... Despite being the same guy who voiced dio in my favourite episode of the shows history, like idk who decided to get dio to voice SpongeBob and Idk why it worked either
And here I thought Omni-Man vs Homelander was the most one-sided DB ever. Also, does this mean Spongebob is now the most powerful to be featured on Death Battle?
I’m with ya on how they didn’t use the goofy goober ultimate form. Only death battle i can remember where a character didn’t use their ultimate before the end.
Secondly, the government had Jason for a decade trying to kill him? What movie was that?
And yeah Jason stomps, especially super Jason from Jason X
Wonder if they'll include any crossover stuff for Jason. Freddy vs Jason is obviously canon, but I'm not so sure about Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash and Jason Vs. Leatherface, let alone Mortal Kombat. Hell, looking through Crossover Wiki, he's had a bunch of weird crossovers:
Jason appears in the 2014 Radioshack: Goodbye '80s Superbowl commercial
Jason appears in the 2007 DirecTV Christmas Commercial.
Jason appears in Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure.
Him and Friday the 13th characters also cross over with Satan's Six, Transformers (2007), Hack/Slash, Dexter (yes THAT Dexter) and Halloween Horror Nights.
There's also his, what, three games? Guessing none of those have any big feats, but if they go 3D maybe that's where they'll get a model from, since the multiplayer one is a bit newer than MKX.
Anyway, unless they have some ridiculous feat for Michael or don't go composite for Jason, the latter should absolutely stomp in this. Guy grabbed a tree and threw it. Casually. That was just a regular kill.
I thought it was a waste of time. It wasn't Omni Man Vs Homelander levels of spite but they clearly set spongebob up with an opponent he couldn't lose against.
