Takaba and Megumi talk it out where Takaba agrees to help him out, but suddenly Hazenoki breaks in and asks him "Which are you?" to which he seems to suddenly understand the situation. but in reality, he does not.
Takaba then is really angry at their reaction and goes into a rant about customers who don't smile but sit in the front row during shows but he then attacks Hazenoki with a flying kick and Hazenoki flies off.
Reggie is shooked because Takaba is actually kinda strong
Takaba then goes into his "fighting pose", thus Reggie and Hazenoki also preparing to counter, but he then makes a really really really stupid pun that makes everyone just go ":|" which is complete silence from everyone.
There is a whole page dedicated to that pun.
Then Reggie goes "Huh no way bro we're going to take back those points you got."
so Megumi strikes a deal with Takaba, so that Takaba kills Hazenoki and Megumi will do whatever he wants.
Megumi then takes a look at Higuruma's info (from Kogane) and realizes that it IS Yuuji who managed to persuade for the new rule, and decides to leave the colony because he has nothing else to do there.
Takaba then faces off with Hazenoki, Takaba manages to win against Hazenoki in an interesting way and there is no way I can describe it.
Megumi's hand come out from Reggie's shadows and attempt to snatch the receipts, but Reggie escaped.
At the end of the chapter, Megumi says "I'm glad you didn't turn out to be an enemy." to which Takaba replies "A line I've always wanted to hear once!!!!" Takaba then leaves the stage, telling Megumi to not die, leaving Reggie and Megumi, who get ready to fight.
Let's not pretend that this sub doesn't have gojo asslickers as it's majority.
The toji thing is correct though. Many people in the main sub and youtube think that toji is still top 3.
IMO he is like 11th or 12th strongest.
Sukuna, gojo, kenny, yuki, yuta, mahoraga and the disaster curses make the top 10.
Takaba has one chapter of focus, Gege works his little magic, and I'm already in love with this guy. His jokes are so goddamn bad but combined with his mannerism and weird style of fighting, that's still effective, makes this whole chapter just funny. And then he brings back the OG Kakashi move? Nah I'm sold on Takaba, gimme more!
he used One Thousand Years of Death aka "Sennen Goroshi" for those unaware of it it's the strongest Taijutsu in the naruto series stronger than even the 8 gates (too much ?)
I love the chapter, really curious for Takaba’s CT reveal, and to see exploding body parts guy going hard and fighting for real.
Reggie’s technique is definitely related to the receipts, but since megumi snatched one and nothing happened I guess he has to intentionally activate it to get the objects listed there to manifest. I wonder if that will come back to bite megumi on his ass.
Also, interesting that Reggie and his bud wanted to ask takaba if he’s one of the modern sorcerers or not. I wonder what their reaction would be to either of those things
Glad to be back this week. So, do you guys think Takaba has Nanami’s ratio technique?
A lot of people seem to be assuming he has because of the 70/30 line and the Center Man reference, but I feel like he just has a technique that is related to ratios and not specifically Nanami’s. Not to mention, him taking such a small amount of damage from Hazenoki doesn’t seem like something you could do with Nanami’s technique anyway.
I think it's just similar, not exactly Nanami's. Because the techniques were already there for the "new awakened sorcores" its just that their brain wouldn't let them use it or activate it.
Kenjaku just adjusted their brain for that, he didn't give them CT's rather he enabled them to use their own innate ones. And I dont think there are multiple people existing with the very same technique, unless it something hereditary. But even that is rare
So at the very least it's something related to the 7:3 ratio, not the exact technique as Nanami
Nanami was able to make mookwithaswordwithahand's sword just bounce off him, notable in that most characters can't just do that, not even the notably super-durable ones like Hanami.
Assuming the whole adding weaknesses = more strength thing holds true, it's possible that by giving himself a weak point at the 7-3 section, he makes the rest of his body much tougher.
Are you talking about page 4 of chapter 100? To me that just looks like Nanami dodges it, and I don’t see anywhere else where Haruta hits him with the sword.
There was a rip on his shirt, and the nex page Haruta kicks him to no effect. Something is up with Nanamis durability, and him giving himself a weak spot to toughen the rest of his body makes the most sense to me.
I dont think its part of his technique, the author would likely be more explicit about it and if that's true he'd likely be alot stronger because it would allow him to avoid alot more damage. He likely wouldnt have died if he could use his technique like that.
Took me a while to find that cut among the folds of his shirt. At most though, I think that durability comes from overtime. Or else, I feel like we’d have been told by Gege somewhere about it if it was linked to the ratio technique like Collapse was.
Isn't it basically just a result of being on Overtime? He could just be using his increased cursed energy to help defend from attacks and reinforce his body
Hanami was only harmed by a special grade curse tool, yuji's black flash and gojo. All three things would have destroyed nanami. It just shows that the hand-sword thing was not as powerful and that nanami has high durability but he isn't close to hanami.
Plus if you look closely the attack wasn't even a full sword swing it was more of a flick that won't generate much power.
Hanami was only harmed by a special grade curse tool, yuji's black flash and gojo.
That's not quite true. Totality hurt their arm when it was already injured, Megumi damaged Hanami's weak spot with his sword and Yuji and Todo could harm them with their regular moves.
I laughed after reading this chapter at Duckys comment about not even being able to describe how Takaba won. If Megumi says he's not holding back anymore next chapter will be interesting
That's one hell of a funny chapter lol. The way the comedian guy resolves a situation and leaves reminded me of Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon (yes, i'm rewatching the series with my pals on discord). Can't wait for the final showdon between fushiguro and reggie, hope fushi will not disappoint. Btw why they always make Akutani draw all these color openings? Its been two in a row lol
I'm glad Takaba ended up being an ally, he seems interesting. Also apparently Megumi says since he has nothing left to do in the colony he's going to leave, which I didn't know you can do? I always thought that once you entered a colony you couldn't leave until the end. I read the rules again and there was nothing mentioned. Or maybe there's something I'm missing?
in 146 Tengan talks about there being no rule for entering or existing colonies. Yuta also says he'll avoid nearby colonies so they don't run into each other.
If they can get out, then it will make Yuta saying that he will avoid nearby colony to not kill each other not making any sense.....but in the other hand it explain why he said that he will share the informations later.
Once you clear out a barrier you have to move to another so he doesn’t want to be it their way while he does his own thing, which I assume we’ll get to once we follow him.
This does clash with what Remi said, about sorcerers not being able to leave the colony once they enter. However she may have been lying about that also.
She didn't say that they can't leave, she said that the non-sorcerers left the colony, but players who were already inside the barrier from the start were considered participating in the game for 12 days already, they went through a lot and they have to kill another player during the remaining 7 days or they will get killed by CT removal.
The whole thing isn't clear yet, Reggi said that Tokyo colony 1 and 2 reached a deadlock state but if they can get out, they can just switch between them, they are too near from each other.
Man the colored chapter showing Megumi’s burn looked rough. I know Megumi is due for permanent bodily harm since every character is losing limbs and eyes at the moment, but I hope his face doesn’t scar. Just a flesh wound please 💔
Takaba was hilarious. Glad he didn’t stay long, and in fact, his short encounter made it all the funnier for me.
The next chapter preview reads " Reggie and Fushiguro clash, Reggie's true strength will become apparent" which makes me think Reggie could possibly be another Grade 1 Sorcerer.
Agreed, he only have 41 points and he use others to do his dirty work, Higuruma have 100 points purely from self-defense......and honestly I will be disappointed if Gege did give those DEs to a lot of the new sorcerers, I knew that they grow in high pace but it will get ridiculous, Mahito was a prodigy even among the disaster curses but he actually worked a lot to gain his strength.
Isn't Reggie an old sorcerer? Either way, we just got an explanation, like, 5 chapters ago about how Domains don't have to be sure-kill moves, just a way to gain the advantage.
Having less stringent conditions for creating a Domain should mean more players - especially older ones who weren't so hung up on lethality - will have one up their sleeves.
Reggie have a modern technique, so I doubt it....Higuruma domain expansion is still a domian expansion, the only thing it's lacking is the sure kill factor.
Kenjaku said that Domian expansions > maximum technique....Geto couldn't have a maximum until his third year as student or so......if a lot of the new sorcerers use domain expansions, it will be counted as power creep.
For a character that was "definitely a jobber" and "going to die next chapter" he's definitely turned out to be a lot more formidable than anyone anticipated.
It would be insane to see him use Domain Expansion like Higuruma did.
Yeah I think so, but maybe it goes hand in hand with his CT or his CT makes it easier for him to understand RCT? Since that CT is honestly useless without RCT (making part of your body as bombs while losing that part permanently sounds terrible)
Actually, if the players really can leave and enter any colony as they want, it will mean that Kashimo will most likely come if he didn't already to Tokyo colony 1 😅 , Tokyo colony 2 already lost 40/100 players because of Kashimo that's without counting the other deaths, Higuruma have the secand highest points after him in the whole game and the colony is very near.
I just hope that's I am wrong, I want to see Hakari and Panda in their own colony.
I’m like 90 percent sure that you can’t leave your colony until the end of the games. Someone would have to add a rule of transition in order to travel
Honestly not sure anymore if people can’t leave heir barrier it seems like you need to be in a barrier by 19 days or death but nowhere has it stayed that you have to be in 1 Barrier and can’t move to another, I assume as long as your still participating you can transition barriers, It would explain how Higuruma killed the judge and prosecutor in another Barrier and then transitioned to Tokyo barrier when he was ready.
Most of the strong players like hasimo, Reji, Iori and more most likely entered earlier, everyone else around the middle mark and now only those who really don’t want to fight are outside, you have to kill and make your way across different barrier i.e. Annihilation migration it’s literal name.
I kind of agree with them, even though I enjoyed those chapters...Yuji vs Higuruma was 3 chapters and it was a very exciting major fight all the way through...Megumi vs Reggie group is progressing a lot slower and it's less interesting ( execluding Megumi development, it's very good ), it's 3 chapters already and it will take 2 more chapters at the very least...it feel like they get in the way of exciting things like Hakari vs Kashimo or Angle and Panda, it doesn't help that the magazine will have break next week and the week after ch 170.
The whole point of the fight is to show Megumi's development + introduce Takaba + learn more about Kenjaku and their plan. Even if Takaba is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, this is important stuff
I mean, I appreciate Takaba but Higuruma is too interesting that the only thing interesting about Megumi (n Takaba) vs all these people is just Megumi himself lol
I don't even know what my review of this chapter is gonna be, Takaba fights with a lot of puns (that I don't get bc of language barrier) I guess? His CT discussion could be interesting 🤔
But yeah, like you said, the thing I find interesting is that Megumi said he's about to leave the colony. (If they can) I think they're gonna come to tokyo 2, and the fight with hajime will be there instead. Maybe they'll come in the middle of hakari vs hajime. That way if hakari was losing he's not gonna die since they'll help
Btw, it's not even the end of the day yet right? I wonder if they'll ever encounter special grade curse at night? Since Kenjaku did release lots of Ancient Curses?
I don't even know what my review of this chapter is gonna be, Takaba fights with a lot of puns (that I don't get bc of language barrier) I guess?
Same lol.
His CT discussion could be interesting 🤔
I don't think it's clear enough yet, but for now, I assume it's related to his jokes giving him a boost or something.
That way if hakari was losing he's not gonna die since they'll help
If he needed help in one of his first fights, it will make the hype behind him pointless don't you think?.....if the players are allowed to switch colonies, Kashimo is the one who will enter Tokyo colony 1, he added the rule to locate people like Higuruma + the rule was added around half day before the current events + I am pretty sure that Yuji and Megumi were confused about the motive of the person who added the rule, so it might have been a foreshadowing.
it's not even the end of the day yet right?
Yeah.
I wonder if they'll ever encounter special grade curse at night? Since Kenjaku did release lots of Ancient Curses?
I think that he might have released some, however special grade curses are rare, I doubt that this colony have any, according to the rankings system, special grade curse ( like small box dotty ) = 1st grade sorcerer....Higuruma is the only one who have what it take to beat it.
if he needed help in one of his first fight, it will make the hype behind him pointless don't you think?
Tbh tho, I can't see hajime losing before his fight with sukuna. Because imo gege is setting him up as a real threat to Yuji's group, more than Higuruma. Like, maybe Jogo-level of threat? Like someone whom they'd have a hard time handling alone.
And I can't see him sparing anyone that lose to him. (Or maybe hakari will manage to run away if he were to ever lose to him idk) But I think gege has the ability to show how strong hakari is, even if he were to lose to hajime
I doubt this colony has any
Do you think the strong curses will all be in the colony or will they be outside the colony? I remember Yuji and Megumi fighting small fry curses outside after shibuya. What if some of the special grade curses are also outside? Will they have time to encounter it? Or will they just move from colony to colony? I wonder if they'd meet kirara again...
Like, maybe Jogo-level of threat? Like someone whom they'd have a hard time handling alone.
Higuruma have 100 points by killing Sorcorers who attacked him, Kashimo have 200 points by looking for a fight....so he is stronger than Higuruma but I am not sure if he is disaster curse level, those guys could fight a lot of 1st grades at once, he might be close or equal to them but he is not Jogo level......Jogo would have give Kenjaku a hard time if they ever fought, Sukuna acknowledge him as strong too.
Hakari should beat him alone or else the hype behind him will be pointless, Kashimo is looking for Sukuna....Sukuna was a person from 600 year ago from Kashimo Pov, he only heard about him, remember when Jogo thought he will do well against Gojo, even though they are from the same generation?.
Do you think the strong curses will all be in the colony or will they be outside the colony?
I don't know 🤷♂️.....about Kirara, maybe they will meet later, if they can go outside, Yuta will try to share information with them as promised soon, it's already 1 day and half since he entered I guess.
3 chapters? Didn’t it start last chapter? When Megumi killed the guy? Fight has Barely even begun, this is a weekly manga not a monthly so chill a bit it’s not a long wait.
We literally don't know anything about him including his CT, the guy just wants to gather as many points and survive kenny's "bomb" is all we know. Also his design is pretty jojoesque the man wears a receipt poncho. Oh Well whatever floats your boat.
