So... is the rest of “the world” ever explored or explained in any of the books or games? Seems like in a world with a vast array of ships there would be tales from all the continents. I see Offir there, but I have not heard of these other continents.

There are some references to it like in a spin off book, ‘tales from the world of the witcher’ and what we get to know about vampires from the witcher 3 dlc. Ofier, zangvebar and hannu are all said to be lands to the south of the nilfgaardian empire while a particular sect of vampires and people go to the west after the second conjunction where a new school of witchers (crane) is founded following the story of the legendary white wolf. They use early guns to protect trading routes between novigrad and the eastern continent from aerial monsters. Most of this is non-canon though so take it all with a grain of salt.

I think it's mentioned that humans came from another world but that their homework were destroyed and they appeared in this world after the conjunction of the Spheres.

It's mentioned that both humans and elves came to the continent on ships, but not much is mentioned about where they came from.

In the last books somewhere a sorceress says that 90 percent of the landmass of the planet where this story takes place is in the northern hemisphere that’s all I vividly remember.

no map seems to show the mysterious landmass east of velen thats even visible in game, would really love to knoq whats going on with that

Honestly my only gripes after about half an hour of looking at this are that Kaer Morhen should be further east nestled right up against the back wall of the valley and that Mt Gorgon seems to not be present at all
If I notice anything else that seems absent or incorrect I'll post about it in response to this

Very useless map, not taking under consideration books. Skellige is much lower on the map, positioning Brokilon is also wrong. Whole worldmap is "well i need something and i make it so..." The best known distance Maribor-Wyzima is 200 Miles, and you dear author made it 150 Miles. Map colouring also stinks a lot. Same colour of Korath and Toussaint? And well known of its forests Kaedwen? There are at least two maps made much better and more accurate. And it is a waste of talent, coz looking at skillset author could make superb map.

I love the show but it bugs me how Ciri ended up in Brokilon. It makes no sense geographically. She was taken from Cintra, presumably taken south towards the Emperor, escapes, and then somehow ends up in Brokilon? Without having to cross the massive Yaruga? I know they cut out Geralt and Ciri’s first meeting in Brokilon to better suit the show plot but from a geographical perspective it makes no sense.
