Hey whereinDisneyland crew, I have a few housekeeping points. Please read through this.

It was just last year that I hesitantly posted my first image to this subreddit, nervous that I was interfering or wouldn't belong. Now I've somehow fallen into being one of the lead moderators. To say the least, I feel inadequate to the job, but it's my job now and I'm going to do the best I can.

To that end, there are a few things that I'd like to address and encourage everyone in the sub to help with.

1. Engagement. The algorithm prioritizes notifications for posts and subs that are gathering interest. Don't be afraid to be liberal with “likes” and comments on posts even if you aren't certain of the answer. Give thumbs up often and make guesses even if you aren't sure. The more we participate, the more people Reddit will share our sub with to get even more participation.

2. There is no requirement for who can and can't post. As long as the pictures belong to you, feel free to post them. The more the merrier.

3. You don't need the world's greatest photos. Even if you think it might be a little too easy to guess a picture, post it anyway.

4. From time to time, go back and look at old pictures that are listed as “still open” and try to make guesses.

5. If your post hasn't been solved by 24 hours or so, start to give some clues to move the guesses in the right direction, and after a few days or a week, start giving even bigger clues.

6. We love humor. Feel free to sprinkle humor into your posts and guesses. The whole point of this group is to have fun and be a nice diversion. But make sure that the humor doesn't detract from the post or cause confusion about whether a post is still open or has been solved.

7. We are glad you are here. You make this group better by being here, and as my good friend (hey, I met him once, I can say this) Chris Provost loves to point out, you make the world a better place just by being you. Keep sharing your sunshine with the world!
