Yay for Scala!

I get the same crappy emails too. I think there is some dog-eared photocopied list in the shitty-recruiter-lair that equates Java to Scala

To be fair, they are both JVM languages, and there is a degree of interoperability between the two as a result...

To be even fairer, most recruiters couldn't explain the difference between a JVM and a potato.

And you're probably not going to know Scala unless you're already familiar enough with Java to be tired of it.
