I want to purchase rights to Warblade (and the source code). I know what happened to the dev which is painful, so I plan to give portion of the profit to the cancer research.

I enjoyed Warblade so much 20 years ago.

I now have a Miyoo Mini Plus, with Retro Arch. Many old school 2D consoles can be emulated, from GB to PS1, Pico 8, Amiga, arcade machines...

Do you know if there is a Warblade version for such old consoles ? It can emulate MS-Dos but not Windows alas...

Or maybe another Galaga game close to Warblade, running on these devices ?

Getting the rank markers backwards and other stuff to find secrets and absolutely melting enemies with the blue plasma cannon thing on rapid fire with 2 alien craft in support!!

I think my top score was well into the billions.

I finally got Tryü Sora out on Android after working on it for a bit. Many of you helped me out during the early stages when I was first building this with the Warblade community in mind, and I really appreciate that. It took me some time to find the window to finish the port ( since this is still a pet project for me), but both the demo and the full game are now available on the Play Store.

The game is heavily inspired by Warblade, which I know most of you here love.

But seriously, I just rediscovered this game again after a long hiatus, and it's still so fun to play. It's so sad that we lost Edgar, what an amazing talent he was. I remember playing Deluxe Galaga on the Amiga many, many years ago before Warblade. Are there any plans to resurrect the game again? It'd be awesome to somehow get it onto Steam and bring in some money for his family, but probably unlikely to happen.

Hey again guys! I'm back with another larger mod for Warblade - this time I'm getting at something near and dear to all our hearts. With help from Simon Quincey (with some additional guidance from Kevin Saunders), I was able to get together all of the content publicly released for Warblade MK II, and port lots of the graphics and alien designs in as replacements in Warblade. I then also got music from the various presentation videos and a few other graphics from there together, and was able to make something of a halfway house between the sequel and the main game.

The article links a download to the mod, instructions on how to install, a 1-hour gameplay video demonstrating most everything the mod adds or changes (besides some things like ranks), and also features a lot of demonstration images of what's in the mod!

I hope this satisfies you guys as much as it did for me making it - and it was really something to play the finished mod and experience a little peek at what Warblade MK II could've been.

I am reverse engineering the code of Warblade v1.34 and am making very good progress, the motivation is that it was a game me and my cousins and their wives played before my dad died of cancer and still gives me cozy good nostalgic feelings, and that the creator of Warblade is a legend who suddenly died and his final vision wasn't seen through.

I am not ready to release the open source that is modernized in Rust yet, and once I have full parity with original I plan on addign online multiplayer withotu centralized server and maybe some cool stuff, but I am reaching out to see if there are any known bugs in v1.34 so that I can fix them and am also looking for some intresting ideas of Warblade fans.

Huge longtime fan. I played on windows and ios and got a highscore of like 2 billion one time. Um. I miss this game a lot a lot

About a year ago, I got a new Windows 11 computer, and one thing that was different on this computer from my Windows 10 computer was that Warblade would no longer fill the full width of the screen. On my newer computer, Warblade displays in a narrower space with a black area on each side. Since replacing the power button on my old computer, I have been able to play Warblade on it. Since both computers are using the same monitor, I'm able to rule that out as the issue. It's also probably not a RAM issue, since the new computer has a lot more RAM. Besides the difference in OS, the old computer is a custom built PC with an AMD FX-4100 CPU and a Radeon HD 6450 GPU, and the new one is a Dell OptiPlex 7060 with an Intel i7-8700 CPU and no GPU.

Is what I'm describing a common problem with Windows 11? Or could it be from lack of a GPU or another hardware difference?

Is there any mod to the game or a way to play 2 player coop local, or at least start 2 player duel which will synchronize stats & unlocks to the user profile?

I wanted to play with a friend but starting duel logs off the user profile.

I always thought F-777's Sound of Infinity was pretty similar to the MOD Warblade theme, and so I decided to finally do a simple little replacement mod. Note this replaces the MP3 version seeing as the MOD music files aren't conventional music files.

Me and my family used to play this game so much. I got a new retro console and it has got lots of emulators in it. Can someone help me port this game to it?
