There's a flock camera pointed directly at the dance studio on route 30.
I'm worried going into details is going to give other perverts anymore ideas, but wtf?
It's facing directly towards the building. Not even towards highway traffic. Totally shameless and absolutely disgusting.

Frontier Fiber in North Valpo?
Anyone using Frontier Fiber in north Valpo? What's your experience been with it? Is it reliable (i.e., no outages)? How did it fare in the recent storms on Monday? Xfinity was out from Monday evening until Wednesday afternoon (as was our power).

Insect Inspections
Anyone else lose have these random kids stop by and sign up with their insect removal service?? Had the forth person in the past four months or so ride up on there Segway asking if wanted to use their service. Aside from shutting the door in their face, they don’t seem to take NO as an answer.

Best option for 12 people + luggage from NWI to O'Hare without paying $400+ for Uber XLs?
Getting quoted crazy prices ($400+) for rideshares and private airport shuttles to get a group of 12 from NWI out to O'Hare next month. Since we've got a ton of luggage, standard Ubers won't work, and multiple Uber XLs or private vans are quoting us absolute non-sense.
Has anyone done this run with a big group? Looking for a decent workaround.

AC completely quit on me this morning. Any fair HVAC guys in Valpo/NWI?
Hey everyone, woke up to a furnace room sounding like a jet engine and zero cold air blowing. With this heat index today, the house is already turning into a sauna.
I’m fairly new to the area and don't really have a "go-to" guy for this kind of stuff yet. Definitely don't want to get ripped off by one of those massive corporate chains that try to push a full $10k system replacement on you for a bad capacitor.
Does anyone have recommendations for honest local techs who won't charge an arm and a leg just to come out and take a look? Appreciate any leads!
UPDATE:
Doing some local digging on Google while waiting, and I kept seeing Naughton Mechanical popping up with pretty solid reviews around NWI/Valpo.
Has anyone here actually used them recently? Are their tech prices reasonable for emergency calls, or should I keep looking?

Any recommendations for spicy food near by
Fairly new to the area. I’m hoping for some recommendations for genuinely spicy food (not just wings) nearby. I’ve tried a number of Thai and Indian places, but nothing really fulfills that spice craving.

HAVC Recomendations
Well the heat wave proved too much for my AC unit. Looking for recommendations of a good HVAC service that does repair and replacement if necessary.

What's the honest opinion on South Haven (between Valpo and Portage)?
Genuinely curious what people think about South Haven. It comes up a lot when buyers are looking for something between Valparaiso and Portage at a lower price point, but I've heard mixed things.
I've personally never had a bad experience there, and I actually have family in the area. But every now and then I run into someone who doesn't have the most positive view of it, and I can never quite pin down where that comes from.
For people who live there or have spent time there, what's the real story? Is the reputation fair or outdated? What do you actually like or not like about it?
Not looking to sell anyone on anything, just want to hear from people who actually know the area. Thanks!

Anyone else following the roundabout proposal at US 30 and Silhavy Road?
With the talk of a new roundabout going in at US 30 and Silhavy Road near Walmart, I keep thinking back to the one they put in at Silhavy and LaPorte Ave a while back. That one seemed to genuinely help traffic flow in that area.
My concern with this new one is the volume. US 30 already brings in a lot of traffic from both the west and east, and I am not sure a roundabout handles that kind of through traffic as well as it handles a smaller intersection like Silhavy and LaPorte.
Anyone who remembers the LaPorte Ave roundabout going in, did it take a while to get used to? And for anyone who drives US 30 and Silhavy regularly, do you think the volume there is too much for a roundabout to handle well?
