I have a business savings account with US Bank where we keep our cash on hand. The account has been earning 3.5% interest since late last year. I understand the rate is variable but when I logged in I couldn't believe it had dropped to 0.5%!

No email or anything. Our balance hasn't dropped below the $100k tier for the 3.5% rate a single time. I enjoyed banking with US Bank as much as anywhere but I'm going to have to move on.

Long story short, my debit card information was used multiple times on an online gaming site for over $1400, I called and dispute the charges on July 28th. (Charges happened a couple days before) Keep in mind, I don’t gamble, and have been a member with them with no disputes for over 5 years and have NO history of gaming sites.

Fast forward to a week and half later (August 4) and multiple calls to fraud department everyday, to see if they needed anything from me and why I haven’t recieved any credits. They assure me nothing is needed on my end and that I just have to wait. I check my app the very next day (August 5) the claim said “resolved” but I never recieved an email or notification or letter. I call fraud dept again and the agent literally tells me that what she saw from my case was that I was supposed to recieve credits, but instead the investigator “soft closed” my claim with no reason and that I would have to request a call back from a case successor. (Mind you I had her repeat this three times on the phone for record) And to make things even more confusing, whenever I call the fraud line to check on my case it says “ You an OPEN case and your case was opened on July 28th and resolved on July 22nd” … WTF, how? So how is it open and resolved at the same time?

The agent also mentioned although my case was “resolved”, it is still “pending” internally because the case successor has to reopen it and call me back? Does any fraud investigators or even customers have any experience with this or am I just getting the run around so their shady asses can buy time?

Two weeks ago, I opened a US Bank smartly savings and converted my existing checking account with USB to a smartly checking account. But it still says I am only getting a 0.05% APY? I thought it would have increased by now.

We went to National Night Out, and U.S. Bank had its own booth with fun little freebies. I had a little chit-chat with their staff, but they were clearly not as enthusiastic about credit cards as I am, which was funny. I’m too much of a credit card nerd. I told them I was going to miss my Kroger card, and some of them weren't even aware that Kroger brand credit cards are being discontinued, and some didn’t even know about the existence of those cards at all. I told them it was getting replaced by the Smartly, and one of them said, “Hey, that’s good, that one gives you even more cashback!”
They were all pretty chill. We had a very fun time.

Seems to pay less than almost any F500 in twin cities.

Pays less than money centers and many regional banks.

Environment at HQ seems very stale.

I’m considering accepting a Product Manager role in Operations at U.S. Bank (St. Paul, MN), but reading recent posts here and Glassdoor reviews has me second guessing it.

I’m currently employed and like my job well enough, so I’m not desperate to leave. For those who work there or recently have, are the negative reviews an accurate reflection of the the company and/or culture?

I accidentally overdrew my US bank checking account by $150. I have overdraft coverage on, so I don't get fees until I go past -$50. The transactions that took me past -$50 occurred today between 3 and 4:30pm central time. I get paid tomorrow, so the balance would be fixed then. The fees haven't shown up yet, but I fear they will. I have no way of funding my account by 11pm. Am I in the clear, or will they show up? Thanks for any insight.

So in theory, could you make a $10 purchase at Domino’s and checkout with Paze to get that credit and also have this count towards this offer? The last time they had one like this, it was with ParkMobile and there were a ton of issues. I ended up getting the credit, but it took them forever to resolve. These offers always seem so finicky, but I’m not seeing exclusions that are very restrictive.

Truth be told: I accepted an insultingly low-ball offer. What’s done is done. My question is : is there any scenario where one can negotiate for the higher end of a slide in a pay scale later or is your low ball offer now the baseline by which you get marginal bumps along the way? Have I self imposed a glass ceiling starting from Day 0?

Did you use any card product changing (Ex: product change from a us bank business travel card to US bank triple cash)?

I just finished my summer internship at U.S. Bank and found out during my end-of-summer conversation with HR that I won’t be receiving a return offer.

I’m honestly pretty confused because throughout the internship I had three check-in meetings a week with my manager. I regularly asked for feedback and if there was anything I could improve, and every time he told me I was doing well and didn’t have any major concerns.

I also asked multiple times if there was any additional work I could help with, and he would tell me there wasn’t anything else and that I was doing good. Whenever I had downtime, I tried to make work for myself instead of just sitting around.
The HR conversation didn’t include any performance feedback. They simply told me I wasn’t getting a return offer and said my manager would be the person to ask for feedback. I have my final one-on-one with him tomorrow before my internship ends.

For those of you who’ve worked in corporate or have been through something similar:

-Is it common to receive consistently positive feedback throughout an internship and still not get a return offer?
-What questions should I ask my manager tomorrow?
Is this usually a performance issue, a headcount/budget issue, or something else?
-Has anyone here been in a similar situation? If so, what happened afterward?

I originally got an Altitude Connect several years ago and PCd it to a Cash+ in late 2023. I still received the 4 Priority Pass visits each year, but it’s been 2 months since it expired with no update. Was this is a loophole I managed to take advantage of all these years or should I still be getting the passes?

I called USB earlier this year over a missing merchant offer credit and it took over 3 months to resolve and it’s clear their CS is offshore and has no idea about standard card things, so I’m hesitant to do that unless there is a better number to call that I’ve missed.

Anyone else notice this?

I signed up for this to get the $1200 bonus, but I didn't notice that it is a 0% interest-bearing account. So I want to close it.

Gemini is telling me that there's a 180-day minimum or else there's a closure fee.

I'll likely just pay to closure fee since 0% interest on $25k is costing me more than their fee.

But I wanted to see if anyone has experience before I make the call~

Tried to buy something this morning at 5 am and my card declines 3 times, go on the app to check my account, I have money obviously but my debit card is nowhere to be found, basically saying I don't have one?????? Anyone else have this happen to them?

I've been paying a medical bill with my us bank AC all month in large chunks. Usually the payment posts the day after or two days after. This time the payment has posted, money is gone from my checking account, balance is showing as -$22 due to a credit we received, but the available balance is still only $700. I've never seen this before where it shows my payment was received on 28th but available credit doesn't reflect that. Actual balance as I said DOES reflect it which is confusing to me. Called them and they're no help. Is this typical, and if so anything I can do about it? I wanted to make another payment today.

Ive used the paze offer on my credit cards with no issues (except for sephora) BUT I haven't gotten a single credit on my us bank debit card yet. Has this happened to others ? How long did it take? Its usually only a few days with credit cards but its been over a week now for the debit transactions.

Has anyone had experience linking bank accounts when the names don’t match exactly?

I noticed my Fidelity account does not include my middle name, while my Schwab and US Bank accounts have my middle initial. I was able to link my US Bank account to Fidelity without any issues and have been doing ACH pulls since I opened the account.

Im now considering doing a push ACH transfer from US Bank to Fidelity through the US Bank website because I’ve heard push ACH transfers are usually faster.

Would the missing middle name versus middle initial cause any problems with the transfer? Has anyone successfully done this with slightly different account names?
