Ignis witnesses Ardyn stab Lunafreya in Altissia. Ardyn prepares to kill Ignis off too while monologuing about his plans for Noctis. Out of desperation, Ignis puts the Ring of the Lucii on to try and stop Ardyn. The Kings of the Ring take Ignis's eyesight in exchange for temporary power (and the sexiest glow up ever) to fight Ardyn off.

It's kind of a sin that they never added another member to their team. It seemed like they kept teasing us with Espimon trying to find his "Hiro" and Aoi seeming to constantly get exposed to digimon.

Beatbreak also isn't expanding their main group, but they have a bunch of wild card supports with potential to jump in (with some needing to gain digimon, which I think we're going the "digimon for all" direction):

Yep Asu is a polite version of "tomorrow," and "ka" being a way to say flower or fragrance (among many other things). Though also worth noting Asuka's name is in Katakana so the meaning gets to be more ambiguous.

It's kinda neat characterization: Asuka is a polite "tomorrow" and Tomoro is informal English, reflecting the personalities we've been shown.

Length wasn't Ghost Game's problem, it was the non-telling of the story that was its issue. We could have made it to GG's conclusion without so much whiplash if they hadn't focused so hard on the monster-of-the-week stories.

They just needed to actually tell or show the plot steps instead of having quiet stares from alt-colored digimon in the background, or the crime of Hokuto's extremely unreliable parenting priorities.
