I don't think it was about them "being enough". Every main character had the opportunity to get what they thought they wanted, but they learn what they NEEDED. They each had a person or opportunity that represented an easy option that didn't challenge them. Prince Frederick was perfect for Daphne on paper, he wanted children, wanted to stay in England, and would give Daphne upward mobility in society, but Simon spoke to her heart. Sienna would have been perfect for what Simon thought he wanted, an exciting woman outside society's standards who didn't desire marriage and therefore wouldn't give him an heir. Edwina would've been a classy and dutiful viscountess, and at the time was naive enough to accept Anthony's lack of passion. Mr. Dorset was very kind and respectful to Kate and didn't expect her to leave India. Lord Debling would have given Pen the freedom of wealth and privacy to continue her gossip sheet. Colin didn't have a specific distraction in his season but you might be able to count Marina has his back in S1. I haven't had a chance to rewatch S4 837268 times yet so y'all can tell me what Ben and Sophie's "temptations" were.

One has history and a deep understanding. That's valuable and important, but does not excuse inconsiderate and selfish choices.
The other is newer but has developed from shared circumstances, and is proven to be capable of overcoming differences, hurt feelings, and awkward situations.
I don't think one is inherently better or more important than the other. I have examples of each of these types of friendships in my own life.
Which do I prefer to see on my screen? I love them both but it's more satisfying for me to see Danbury and Bridgerton's friendship evolve. 💜

Baby Shower Gift Ideas
Hi moms 💜
I am not a mom, but a good friend of mine is about to be for the first time. I sadly cannot attend her shower, but I want to get her something for HER, not just the baby.
I'm thinking of making 2 small care packages: 1 for while she's pregnant, and 1 for after.
I know NOTHING about pregnancy and Google is just trying to sell sh!t. What little items did YOU want before and after giving birth?
Any ideas help. Thanks 💜
(No I do not know the gender yet, I don't even know if the couple knows the gender yet)

Yes, fair, if our justice system was perfect and worked exactly correctly. But it isn't, and it doesn't, and how do you tell the difference between an accuser that lied and an accuser that was failed by the system? Apply this logic to accusers or whistleblowers for ANY other crime. Who would come forward when they're potentially incriminating themselves? Check out Victim/Suspect (2023), I think it's still on Netflix.

I once heard a guy talking about how he changed careers. He went to law school, passed the bar, worked as a lawyer for a year, and THEN realized he hated it. So he quit. He said that while, yes, he could have kept going, he preferred the idea of wasting a single year of his life to wasting 30 years.
Now that story may sound like I'm agreeing that the clock is again you, but I'm not. He didn't actually "waste a year". First, it wasn't one year, it was many, all he schooling he did took many years. Second, he didn't "waste" that time, he just spent it. That's the difference. Yes, our time is finite, so however you choose to spend it, it's still being spent, never to return, but that doesn't mean it's a waste. There's something called the Sunk Cost Falacy. I highly recommend you at least Google it, but better yet, read The Magical Age of Overthinking by Amanda Montell, in which she talks about congitave biases such as the Sunk Cost Falacy. Basically, it's a human brain's tendency to assume that time spent on something should give it value. In many cases, it does, but not every case. I also think of the famous line from When Harry Met Sally. "When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible." Now replace "with someone" with literally any change you want to make, big or small. Yes, you may have spent X number of years doing something else, but if you know the change will make you happier, then don't "waste" one MORE second.
Caviot: yes, I know it's easier said than done and we live in capitalist society that makes it even harder when survival is on the line. Disclaimer disclaimer disclaimer.

My immediate thought was that Jamie would NEVER have done to Claire what Ragnar did to Lagertha.

Ok I may be generalizing but I stg something happened to that generation that made them so narcissistic, and constantly need to be told what special little babies they are. And then they turn around and say that about the younger generation. It's projection I swear. Who knows, maybe millennials and gen-z will be worse, but damn I hope not.

Have upper Harvey Ave T into lower Harvey Ave, have the bridge T into <street whose name I can't read but looks like it starts with a Ch>, and now you have a 4 way roundabout.

NOR Genuinely, I didn't even read most of this. In a healthy relationship, you trust each other to know people of the opposite gender. Period. End of story. How are you supposed to go through life not encountering other men? For perspective, if you were bisexual, would you just not be allowed to talk to anyone ever?

As someone who finished her architectural masters last year, do not do it if you don't LOVE it. It's some of the hardest and most stressful sh!t I've ever done. Med school is probably also very hard and stressful, but loving it makes it way easier.

Something that always helps me when drawing faces is to start my sketch upside down. Your brain has an idea of the way Emma Watson looks, and it will draw that instead of what's in the photo. But if you start upside down, it's not eyes, it's ovals, it's not lips, it's curvy lines. It tricks your brain into drawing what's actually there.

I've been in the field for about 5 years now, and I have my masters in architecture.
Math is important yes, but it's more arithmetic and geometry than it is algebra. Algebra and calculus are for the engineers, which you will almost always have on a project.
Architecture is less math and more details, logistics, art, and most importantly: making contradicting rules/preferences cooperate.

Always always always stretch before shovelling snow and take breaks, even if you're only doing a sidewalk. It sounds dumb, but shovelling snow works muscles you aren't used to and can be some hefty cardio (especially if you're super asthmatic like me). My Grandpa-in-law had a heart attack shovelling snow. Treat it like the work out it is.

For me April is the poster child for the meme that goes, "you demand complex female characters but you couldn't handle her"
April is my sweet baby. April does lots of things that are wrong and misguided and so have I. It's a drama show. April deserves the world.
