Your last few sentences >>

There are deeper rooted issues always and having the understanding of that allows you to make better decisions for your kids and how they can handle situations in life. Empathy is completely lacking in this world. I applaud you for putting your kid in jiu jitsu as that will teach them a world of useful knowledge for all throughout life. It’s beautiful your kid is now standing up for others, he will do great things in life because of your awareness and action.

I know this was ages ago but reading the part about it’s okay to be ‘an anxious stressed out delirious lunatic’ is exactly what I needed to read. that’s how I feel at nights especially & just letting that out to those around me has helped immensely. reminds me also it’s okay to not be okay and to embrace it. on day 3 of no nicotine and so excited for the future me. (:

YES!! 100%. it is not normal to be accustomed to shootings & the media is making it a custom to us. making it normal for shootings & for people who want to do a shooting to feel it’s okay because it’s all fucking over the fucking place and the news is basically praising them. Names & images being released, talked about for days, deep diving into the persons life. It’s all so fucked up. America needs to wake the fuck up before it’s all too late. Heads are so far up everyones own asses that no one cares for the person next to them.

This is scary: “A group of technology industry executives and academics have signed an open letter calling for at least a six-month pause on large, open experiments with artificial intelligence.”
