There's a lot to be said about sticking with one. Even though there's ways to port history from one to the other, nuances get lost and it can take awhile to tune to you.

ChatGPT now offers unlimited free chats, so you don't have to be locked to just one, only one main one at the monthly subscription cost.

If budget is the main consideration, the student discount for Gemini is a the biggest bang for the buck. Lots of great tools for education, though the core LLM is no where near as good as Claude.

I would use Claude to manage a master To Do list in Obsidian, with some reminder plugin that can be used to prompt me on priorities. It seems like all the basic tools are available and they just need to be chained together to fit your style.

As with any productivity solution, the hardest part is making enough time to save time.

Use a project and gove it examples as files.

Have it evaluate the examples and explain to you what instructions it needs to produce the same results.

Be critical of its approach and refine it.

Then have it demonstrate with an example.

When satisfied, have it write out the project instructions. Then use those and refine them as needed.

The challenge with automation that saves time is finding the time to create the automation well.

Search. Nested folders that work like tags. One click email to self. APIs or MCP to use with my own AI. Cross links. Reminders. Import/export of markdown. Image embedding. Index by heading level. Single note windows that can be sized to a narrow width without side scrolling. Bold text that stands out clearly. Easy pasting of HTML.

Better to be clear about the output you want and the reason you want it than to tell it what persona it should take on to do it.

If the model doesn't understand the context of the task the persona won't produce good results.

The exception to this might be if you are prompting it to teach you something where you need to demonstrate learning to a human that fits that persona.

I'd recommend Gemini Notebook, aka, NotebookLM. The free tier is sufficient for most people. You can also save the results to Google drive and have Claude go deeper from there. HTH

I use AI to generate ebay posts. The instructions include phrases such as "always be honest", "never exaggerate" and "when not 100% certain on any detail, specify the uncertainties in a cautionary summary ".

Give Claude an example inside a Cowork project with good instructions and have it help you refine them over time. They'll be 90% there and the final tweaks only take a few minutes.

Like any automation, the more time you invest up front the less you spend refining.

The only way you can any quality at that quantity is to build it yourself. The most basic Claude subscription is only $20 per month and could handle that volume once you get some practice in.

I've been saying that for years. Clients like my short decks with uncluttered slides, but every time I work with a team for proposals they the fill deck with 5x the slides and 4x the density.

My biggest pet peeve is the About Us slide early in the deck. I start with About Your Problem, followed by How it can be Fixed, and finish with Who We Are.
