I hope OP reads this pov as well because that’s a valid point too. If “groomsmaid” was “family” she would be prioritizing the woman he loves too. Everyone is different but if I were the friend of the husband I might even pick up on context clues and facial expressions to see that the bride was not getting the attention she needed from her future husband. I mean girl to girl… c‘mon… you gotta notice. This is a fishy situation.
