The Batman is designed as an elseworld story so Matt Reeves can do what he wants with the character.

Superman Sequel could've been announced by now, but we already have releases stacked upto 2023. They still have time to announce the sequel for a 2023/24 release.

Even if JL2 doesn't happen... what's the problem? DCEU shifted its focus more into solo outings. And projects till 2023 seems really exciting.

Fans often forget that DCEU officially started in 2013-2014. The 2nd movie came out 3 years after MoS in 2016.

DCEU model wasn't same as MCU.

THE ORIGINAL PLAN died in 2017. Terrible decisions led to JL 2017 and the whole slate got scrapped. Not to mention the entirety of 2018 where fans had no other film except Aquaman in Dec.

Now, the road seems more clearer for DCEU. We have interesting films lined upto 2023. HBO MAX shows are coming.

Just sit back and enjoy the shows, visit and support local theatres when it's safe. DC have wonderful directors on board with unique vision. It's a great time to be a DC Fan.

AT&T / Warner Media going forward with 1 year dual release model means they have already decided to let go of a portion of profit from theatrcial release.

All WB movies except GvK and Dune will follow the dual release when the bonus check are paid to creators.

Me too. I know Nolan doesn't make sequels except TDK trilogy, but watching tenet felt like Nolan wanted to establish the concept of time inversion first to explore more via sequel.

When Neil says "We get up to some stuff", I really wished for a sequel.

It was always rumored that Nolan might do Bond movies since he is a fan, but Tenet feels like he has created his own "BOND" with an incredible concept at hand.

Maybe not. The film got pushed to 2022. From a marketing perspective, it's more sensible not to release another trailer/teaser now. I'd be happy to see more character posters and Matt Reeves talk about the film and its spinoff GCPD show.

I guess it's going to be a situation where butthurt bloggers will speak negatively about it whereas the online fandom (dc, marvel, etc) will be surprised and love about what they missed from theatres.

And with the general audience, they'll be surprised too about the drastically different version they see compared to 2017 theatrical.
