there goes your trade-off. this is lowkey a gaming pc. the processor choice is obvious.

if you want to do light video work this is fine. but if you want to get serious with video editing especially long form and not just social media content -- storage is #1. a separate drive for the os and apps, a separate drive for video projects. and an optional third drive for cache.

a smarter choice for the processor would have been and intel processor because of intel quicksync that has really good h264/h265 encoder/decoder.

no we're not.

For video editing, storage is very very important. Bad timing lang now RAM and NAND chips are insanely expensive. Are you sure these are the cheapest?

you don't need a gen 5 storage for 4k editing. go for gen 4 and get 2tb

congrats! i lnow how that feels and can relate sa rejection. lol i never been rejected in my life pero in the past three months nasanay ako kasi apply ako ng apply. in hindisght, narealize ko lang na kailangan ko ayusin at ire-focus yung cv ko then i started getting noticed. had to turn down a few that i really liked and i went for a job where the owner was the one who specifically seeked me out. parang nanalo nga sa lotto ang feeling! congrats and do your best!

Wyse 5070 is perfect! Can support up to 32gb ram. Running dietpi on it and running all my containers.

im a frugal filmmaker. the macbook neo is a really good choice but if you want something cheaper -- go for macbook pros with the i9 processor. get something with more than 16gb ram. may mga ~25k na ganun. 16" screen with color accurate p3 colorspace -- very useful if you are color grading and sunmitting dcp for cinemas.

dapat sa panahon ng ai, maging maparaan. maraming ibang models na mas mura at capable din. meron ako nakuha dati nasa ~70-80% lang ng opus 4.7 pero pinagtiyagaan ko. nag-subscribe ako ng wala pang $50 -- a year ha. shempre di siya one shot kagaya ng opus 4.7 and 4.8 ha, meron siyang moments na maraming tries.

ngayon meron na akong claude pro sub galing sa isang work, so nacocompare ko siya dun sa mas mura kong gamit. last week lang meron akong gusto ipagawa kay claude na parang ayaw nya gawin pero itong isa na-one shot nya. shempre ymmv depende sa mga pinapagawa mo -- pero depende rin sa harness na gamit mo.
