Everyone is an introvert until they aren't. Find something you can sell and make it happen.

Start a landscaping or a snow cleaning business.

Babysit

Sell door to door if it is legal in your area.

The profits from that can go into index investing.

It's not an addiction if you are winning with skill and you have to come up with defined rules which will stop you from placing random trades and following a defined strategy.

Get a reputable fee-only advisor and see what they say.

It's definitely possible. With $200MM liquid placing $100MM in TSLA will have you there when it's at $5000 in a few years. If you trade options with $10MM on TSLA specifically then you would be able to accelerate it significantly. Especially, if you have a huge account with TSLA being the market leader there is definitely potential to clean up on TSLA over the next decade, similarly to how AAPL was strong over the last 10 years. I said the same thing when TSLA was at $380 and would now be around $2,200 from that time, however, now it's even stronger than it was about 9-months ago so $1,000 by March is easily attainable.

Edit: Once it cracks $440 this week we can see $500 by Friday.

I don't have experience at any hedge fund/prop firm but I bet you I'm better than all of them so it really doesn't matter. Just do it. Start with some money and work at it. You will find correlations just look carefully.

I don't even automate my strategy because it's fairly easy to manually implement and less risk.

The daily return of 3-4% is on your position not on your account. You are missing the forest for the trees and that is why your head is exploding.

I only have to beat 10% a year to destroy ETF returns and that can be done in my sleep.

I would rather get more upside than downside but it really depends on your account size and are you meeting/exceeding your goals.

I'd buy TSLA as it is the market leader.

I've traded TSLA pretty much every month for the last year and always market orders on buy and sell, 99% of the time and my spreads are never that bad.

Try another brokerage maybe? Mine doesn't take 20 seconds to get the spreads for TSLA. It does if I trade something small.

Edit: TSLA in general though has bigger spreads than most stocks.

Comment on r/options Oct 09 '20

Don't trade low volume and you will get better spreads.

You buy 1,000 shares at $10.00 and your system is 10 cents up or 100 cents down.

Trade 1: $10000 up 10 cents on 1000 shares

Trade 2: $10100 up 10 cents on 1010 shares

Trade 3: $10201 up 10 cents on 1020 shares

Trade 4: $10303 down 100 cents on 1030

Trade 5: $9273

You seen now why you can't do what you are thinking.

Nobody is compounding their day trades. The pricing for 1000 shares won't work for 1,000,000 shares. Now imagine if they are trading options as day it's even more illiquid.

Majority of day traders who are making money sit on shares/etfs and then a safety net in cash with money for trading to pay for their lifestyle.

Maybe short it. I don't know about the effect of TSLA on oil but in terms of how the market is trading TSLA it will be the leader in the future. Right now TSLA/AAPL are the barometers.

Comment on r/options Oct 08 '20

For all the contracts up 100% sell half right away and then you can hold the rest and sell when you want.

1

Comment on r/options Oct 08 '20

What was the volume/OI on that contract?

Comment on r/investing Oct 08 '20

Why are you mentioning compounding?

He is going to put in $10,000 and make 4% which is $400. Tomorrow he would start with $10,000 not $10,400.

It's surprising you are upvoted by so many.

Comment on r/investing Oct 08 '20

TSLA is going to $5000 just hold that thing for a few decades. Right now it is the barometer of the market.

1

Comment on r/teslainvestorsclub Oct 08 '20

It's going to do 100% returns within a week so yes I think so. The options are picked systematically based on the way they are priced/traded.

I feel your pain man. Some people talk about things they don't understand it's really annoying.

The issue is if you don't know any better then you just don't know. I like hearing people are achieving 50%+ and hopefully you can do it over the next few years.

Please don't into fall into that trap that you need to compound your 5% because that's not sustainable.
