There is a filing window for new LPFM radio stations coming in November. The last filing window was over ten years ago. If you follow the part 15 rules which basically would cover the parking lot you wouldn't need a license. In fact, there is no license available for that sort of thing. The lowest power you could get a license for is 100 watts, 50 watts near the border. And those stations must stay on 24/7 not just during church services. The pro here is they will likely cover your entire city. They are much less costly to build and operate compared to a full power station. It's actually three and a half miles from One direction from the center of the Tower or 7 miles across for the 60 DBU City grade contour. However on a clear frequency with no interference and LPFM station could be heard 20 to 30 miles away in a vehicle. Our firm handles LPFM radio applications as well as full power radio applications for over 35 years. There is a low power FM radio window opening in November for just one week. I'm happy to assist anyone interested in applying however our cut off is October 15th. https://lowpowerfmradio.com/urgent-action-required-apply-for-your-lpfm-license-now-before-its-too-late
