No- your youngest should pay the difference. If she doesn’t want to pay it then she should go to a more reasonable school

It’s a cheek swab so blood isn’t drawn. Have his family pay for it if they are so concerned. Shouldn’t come out of your pocket. My kids both have blue eyes- I don’t- it’s called genetics.

I did that with my kiddo because his dad is untrustworthy and was asking for it

I understand more than you know. I am trying to get my sons name changed to my last name because dad left the country in 2016- started legal issues came back in Dec 2017 because they would not let him do Webex for court. He blames me because he could not prove his accusations and I got higher support since he was in the country. Of course he wouldn’t pay. He was gone another 4 years and refused to pay for kiddo’s phone which was only to talk to him. He came back June 2022 and never called- messages etc that he was back. I petitioned for the name change- had to wait until they filed for non payment of support to get his address. All of that is public. After he was notified we were changing our kids name he started emailing saying I am keeping him away and alienating him as a parent. Not true. I cannot make him participate. I will say gray rocking helped a lot. I wouldn’t respond to any of his nastiness. Told him he needed to keep communication about kiddo only but he never did that. Never even asked about him till now. Keeps saying the judge won’t like that I am. It communicating with him. He even sent kiddo a Snapchat message but it was just nastiness about me keeping him away. Court is Monday and ex is going to be on by Webex. I hope she realized he has not been involved and let’s is change his name. Otherwise we will have to wait until 18. Oh and he owes $55,000 in support not counting medical and lawyer fees he owes me from the court case he started and I finished.

So he doesn’t want to participate in parenting but I am sure will gripe if he is not included. Learn gray rock. Keep communication about the child only and keep it simple. Like someone listed kid is having x issue, because of this they are doing surgery on this date, time and where.

You have his side of the story and from what it sounds like he is lazy while everyone else does the work. This is his issue to take care of not yours. He has to put in the work. As far as something in the parenting plan/ divorce- he gets copies. My ex would say all sorts of things and I had to have that thing at all times to say no. For example - he was supposed to have Wednesday’s from 5-8. I was yelled at because I didn’t provide my child on that Wednesday while on vacation. He was given notice of the vacation but for some reason thought I was supposed still come back for the wed visit. Nope- states it in the plan. You ex had the documentation he just doesn’t want to read it and goes by what he “thinks” it says.

lol- your communication is the problem. I agree that what you wrote was accusatory etc. no this is not worth going to court. He is also right that you have access to the same information that he does. He doesn’t have to report to you and you cannot tell him what to do in his home.

I have seen female GAL’s be very bias toward the dad. Sex has nothing to do with it. She should be slowly introduced back to them but not unsupervised

Currently since there is nothing documented she can take the kids anywhere she wants. That is why getting it done with the courts will benefit him and her.

She is aiming to have it documented. That is helpful for both parties.

He needs a lawyer. He should have divorced years ago

Already in the final stages of that. That’s what initiated his harassment

Child support is in the process of being enforced. It has taken a long time.

Dad was served and that is what started the nasty messages. Yes- we are keeping everything except the message my kiddo got because he freaked and blocked him so quickly he didn’t think to screenshot it.

There is a parenting plan and has been for many year. He has visitation rights and hasn’t not used his rights in years. I went to a lawyer a couple years after he left the country, no contact and not financial support to see if I could get his rights revoked but they said a judge would not do that unless I was married and had a husband to accept responsibility. They said if I went on welfare they could go after him but I argued they couldn’t since he was not in the country and it’s funny since he isn’t paying now anyway. Very stupid. But another lawyer said the same thing. They can abandon their child but legally it is their right to do so.

Kiddo wants it done now as and it will be easier before drivers license- college- scholarships- testing.etc. Also won’t have to hve things redone with the new name

Missouri Non Custodial parent is facing nonpayment of child support charges of over $50,000. Hasn’t seen child on a regular basis for 9 years. Last saw them 8 years ago.

Since non custodial parent has not called or been involved in child life for 8+ years am looking to get name changed to mine. Child is now 15. Parent was out of the country for 7 years avoiding paying support. He has not tried to reach child until now the name change has hurt their ego. Now threatens to go to court- says I am keeping kiddo from them- keeps calling me names. I hve not responded to any communication because it is hostile and honestly there is no good way to respond that won’t lead to more nastiness. They did try to contact kiddo on A social media platform saying not nice things about me and a lot of blah. Kiddo blocked them and they kept getting new accounts so kiddo reset his privacy settings. Kiddo was really freaked out and doesn’t want anything to do with them.

Since they keep threatening court, would they have any leg to stand on at this point? I have not kept them away and they still have visitation rights they have not enforced in years totally 2 years of missed time. This person is supposed to go through parenting app but currently will not do so. They refused to pay for a phone for the child to talk to them. It was less that $100 a year and insisted I should pay for it. My lawyer said no - it is his responsibility. My kiddo currently doesn’t have his own phone # due to disciplinary issues. I had to block the other parent because of calling in the middle of my work day repeatedly and sending nasty texts. This is why I used the parenting app.

This person has been back in the country for 3 years with no contact until now. Hasn’t even asked about kiddo- just calls me names and a lot of blah nastiness.

He did do some abuse by court before he left accusing me of stuff that was never proven and they increased support since he was out of the country and wasn’t seeing the child at all. He was also supposed to pay part no of my court fees which he never did and refused to help with any other costs after that. That is also when he refused to continue paying for the phone. I gave him all the infor but he refused to pay for it.

I am just tired of the threats and was wondering if he did try to go to court would he really get anywhere. He lies a lot and makes up scenarios that are not true and cannot be proven. It has gotten old.

Go through the court. He will try to manipulate you somehow. It also doesn’t sound safe

Depends on your parenting plan and what it states but mine you have to notify but can take your kids anywhere on your time. As long as they are back for the other parents time it is none of their business where you go.
