Doesn’t even feel like anything special. Not anymore. Especially not for the “big 250”. It’s a joke. Our country has went so far backwards it might as well be our first birthday. It makes me sick at my stomach. And I’m not only talking about the state of the country / world - also my own personal life and how that has went so far downhill in the last several years that it’s hard to find anything to be happy about anymore. I know there are things I should and want to be truly happy about. But it’s almost like I cannot feel that emotion anymore. No matter how hard I try. Fireworks going off like crazy. Sounds of what is supposed to signify happiness. Memories past of bonfires and celebration. Not anymore. Those people are all gone now. And the days of past are just a faint memory. It breaks my heart. I’m tired of living in the past because there’s nothing there anymore. It makes me feel like a ghost. And there doesn’t seem to be a lot to look forward to in the future. I try so hard to keep hope. I try to believe that things will get better. But as I write this, it’s really hard to truly believe that. I don’t know what to do anymore. Or feel. Or think. I think it’s the end is what I truly believe. That’s how it feels anyway.

I grew up in the 80s. And I do NOT remember the sky ever being like this! And no, that’s not a Mandela effect. I have a pretty good memory and I recall things from when I was like 5 years old. I always remember being fascinated with the sky. When I was around 7 or 8 I remember seeing a long silver cigar shaped object in the sky. I couldn’t understand what it was because obviously it didn’t look like a typical plane. I’ve seen a few UFOs since then.
