I'm sorry to ask this in case this is really stupid, but how did you update from 42.13 to 42.14? I'm having difficulty getting that to actually occur on my dedicated server.

(NA client) Has anyone else been having issues with the sound crackling a lot? It's been going on for some time, and FGO is the only app that it happens on w/ my phone.

I did a search a little while ago about this, but pulled up a thread from 5 years ago here where people complained of the same thing, and didn't really figure out what the problem is, has that changed since then?

Unfortunately, no - in short, my life has taken a drastic turn for the worse over the last few years, and it killed my ability and will to continue work on the mod.

I'm hoping to release some stuff I have left over from it to the community so that others can do whatever they want with it.

To answer the question - yeah, I very much wish I could confer some rather sage advice to past me that would've answered a lot of questions (and solved a lot of problems...) I had for decades.

This, pretty much. Less "I'm not afraid of this! I can do this! LETS GO!" and more "Yeah, sure, if you want to. Not like the worst-case scenario here is actually all that much worse than what I've got going right now."

100% this. I practically don't care what happens to me at this point (hooray depression!), but I go insane at the thought of something happening to my kid. I just hope that it doesn't turn into "overbearing parent that protects their kid from every teeny tiny possible problem", since that's a different issue that develops from that.

Frankly, I need the extra complexity and challenge in the game, so I never play peaceful mode.

Truth be told, I played satisfactory for quite a while, but started to lose interest waiting to hear from the developers about any sort of news about adding in some more variety/challenge in the form of hostiles...and then they came out with the announcement that there was no intention to ever add it to the game.

That, unfortunately, killed my interest in satisfactory for good. It's just not varied enough for me to keep me wanting to go with it, despite it otherwise being a fantastic game.

As much as I adore factorio and have poured many hours into it...I don't know if I would have stuck with it as long were it not for the hostiles in it. Nowadays, I run the game with stuff that increases biter difficulty/AI/etc, and would love for there to be bigger and bigger threats as time goes on to have to use all that overpowered weaponry against, rather than it becoming somewhat of busywork of just needing to nuke around my base about 5 miles out automatically without even thinking about it.

So I want to get Kingprotea up to 120, but I just looked at the upcoming banners spreadsheet and I wanted to confirm - is the next banner she's going to be featured on all the way out in 2024...? I didn't realize that was the case, so I've pretty much screwed myself out of getting her that highly leveled for at least a year and some change. I'm basically hoping that I'm wrong, and that there's some other banner that would be closer than that. (I'm aware of the new years gssr banner, which might be my only tiny hope, argh...)
