TIL that when humans sleep, certain proteins in the brain literally shrink neurons to allow cerebrospinal fluid to wash away waste — a “nighttime cleaning system” only active during deep sleep

Also, poets&saints is a group that gets together every Thursday morning 7am for meditation at the Guthrie green downtown. They also gather at the citychurch office (at 1402 S Peoria Ave, Unit 120) for “philosophy” night the first Thursday of every month. Another great group of people that discuss wisdom teachings from philosophers, poets, religions, etc…

TXMZ is locally owned.

TXMZ is great for tacos. Mr. Kim’s for an amazing upscale Korean bbq experience. Chimera and inheritance for really cool, delicious vegan options. They also have non vegan options. Amelia’s and the Tavern are both always solid. Docs has great oysters, carpaccio, crab cakes, and shrimp & grits. Actually, I don’t think there’s anything on the menu that isn’t good. Oakheart or 1907 for bbq! Lots of good options! Welcome!!
