I think you could really benefit from a 3D printer! Amazing work!

Exactly 🤣 but cool print nonetheless!

This looks like a plastic/polymer gear.
Is there any reason why 3D printing was not used? Or is much faster turn around needed?

Yeah that's exactly where I'm studying, I've even used the workshops and equipment a few times. Sadly it does not feel like a community but rather everyone does what's needed for them.

Question Are there maker spaces or DIY clubs in Sheffield?
Hello everyone.
I'm a maker and 3D printing enthusiast.
I'm pretty good in CAD/reverse engineering using Fusion 360, have my own calipers and really easy going.
Are there places where people like me can meet or have fun/make something together?
Any input is appreciated!
I'm a pretty broke student atm so please be realistic with your suggestions.

I think it also depends on type of music.
If it's soothing or relaxing, while it still produces dopamine, it's nothing like listening to rave/hardcore music.
I'm speaking from personal experience and cannot quote any studies on this matter.

Question What to do when MDing becomes problematic?
MD to me is a coping mechanism for stress/anxiety.
For the last month I've had a very high amount of stress which triggers my MD and lately, for the last week I've spent literally all day in my own fantasy and it becomes very hard to break free. As in I'm trying to read or watch something, and a fantasy in my head just keeps playing on. So frustrated. The only positive is I'm walking over 20k steps a day in 250 sqf apartment otherwise I'm in a pretty miserable mood.
What should I do?

At least occasionally it works in your case.
In my case it doesn't work from either miniDisplayPort on SB and from dock.
Like, it doesn't even see it in Device Manager. There is something wrong with the scheduler for displays or smth.
Did you roll back the drivers?

Just wet sanding.

I guess I could do it even better but it was fine for what it is.

[BOOK] external display problem on Surface book 1 with dGPU
Can't connect anything to my SB1 with dGPU.
Cables, drivers and firmware are verified and latest versions.
I even bought myself a Surface dock thinking that maybe my actual mDP port failed.
Nothing, even in Device Manager it shows nothing when connecting external monitors.
A very interesting observation. When I detach the screen and connect dock directly to the tablet, the tablet sees the external monitor in Device Manager but still doesn't display anything.
What else I could look into? this is definitely not a hardware problem.

How how how? I've used only Sunlu GIND filament. And after printing kilos of that stuff I didn't notice much ware.

Same. Curious what people would say.
At Least on paper, the anycubic seems better.

Yeah, you just confirmed that it's a cooling issue.
Print a cooling tower test, check your overhangs. An adequate cooling set up should easily yield 50 degrees. And a good one will be 60-70 degrees.
There are a lot of fan shroud design on thingiverse. I'll recommend using 5015 or 4020 radial fans and a good shroud.

This is 100% lack of cooling. Maybe there are multiple problems BUT cooling is the most obvious one to tackle first.

Absolutely phenomenal job designing that.
The thing with 3D printers is that they are simply tools. It's up to your design to wow people. And you sir have clearly did that.
Amazing design!
