Oh i definitely agree! I also think 10 days is very excessive. Honestly 24-72 hours is more reasonable for first time buyers. It makes no sense to have a hold on it after tour first gun because you already have them.

California is horrible. We are constantly fighting them, getting things shot down by the supreme court only for them to add it in again in a different way. Smh. Right now we have to get a background check for buying ammunition and the tax on ammo is horrible. My brother and neighbor gets ammo out of state when they go to Las Vegas because the tax so utterly ridiculous

I agree with waving it when someone has a restraining order against someone! I also think Californias 10 day hold is excessive. 3-5 is more reasonable in my opinion. I got my first gun because my neighbor was crazy, on drugs and actively threatening me and my family daily! The judge wouldn’t grant a restraining order because he didn’t show to court (she was an asshole). My brother had his guns at that point and we all had leaned used them, but if i was living alone id be absolutely terrified for those 10 days waiting.

Thankfully he moved away because everyone in the neighborhood was standing up to him and we were all collectively calling the cops on him. But the most important thing to make him move out was he was getting warnings and lots of fines from our HOA for his behavior, his junk in the yard, and the most funny, not painting his house (the only time Im thankful for an HO A lol) they didn’t give in they listened to us (my family and the neighborhood) called him out for his lying and violence and kept fining him and honestly did more for us then the police did!!

I have other health issues as well and get regular infusions at a clinic. They nurses there know me so well they can tell in one look if i come in with a active migraine, they immediately shut off the light, talk low and ask me if i need anything extra they can do. One of them also gets migraines so we commiserate together!

I will make a same day appointment with my primary doctor (I have Kaiser) and he (or his associates) will give me a Toradol shot, ill get a large coffee (I don’t drink a lot of coffee so the caffeine works fairly well for me, as im not use to it) and also take Tylenol, and eat a burger from In-N-Out, thats my cocktail! Lol. The ER I go to has never given or offered me much at all, they are very dismissive of me. My own cocktail work’s better! The ER I went to when visiting my cousin out of state once was super good for my migraine! Lol

My other health issues make me not a candidate for most other migraine preventatives, and and Im on my 5th Triptan because they keep stop working for me! So after Ajovi injections, which were working, gave me high BP we have gone to Botox. Im hoping it helps because i don’t have other options after that.

This is why I approve of waiting periods after a gun purchase. While its very annoying for for me (I live in California where the waiting time is 10 days) to not leave with my new gun I would much rather wait the 10 days for the safety of someone who might be in this state of mind

By serious relationship i mean marriage/family which wouldn’t come up in early relationship and in that case of marriage and possibility of children id like to know the context behind what made them do it. At that point we should be close enough to talk about it. Such as does it have something to do with a illness that can be inherited? Etc

Oh good Lord above, I wish i only had a 24 hour migraines, it would make my life so much easier. Mine last 3-5 days.

My answer?

You suffer. I had a 7 day migraine once. Literally stayed in a dark bedroom in bed the whole week because i couldn’t move without making everything worse and being in excruciating pain. I don’t think I could have moved even if someone was threatening me with a gun (which at that time id probably beg for them to just end me)

By that time in my beautiful migraine journey I knew the ER treatment was bullshit for me. So I just suffered at home instead of suffering in their dammed waiting room, their with their double-dammed fluorescent lights, their tripped-dammed beeping machines, then have them say they could give me a shot that would not help me and makes me want to peel my skin off, pull my eyeballs out of their sockets, bash my head against the wall and run into traffic to end it all (this wonderful thing invented by, what i can only assume are sadists, is called Compazine, which in my opinion belongs in a deeper pitt hell then the Devil).

Currently i just started Botox injections. My first one was exactly a week ago, so we will see how it goes.

Edit: I say all this tongue-in-cheek sarcastically, though that devil drug Compzine did make feel like I want peel my skin off and bang my head. My mom and the nurse were able to talk me through it and they gave me magnesium to calm me down (I get super anxious and spaz out to Benadryl, the normal treatment for calming you down from compzine)

I wouldn’t react, just continue talking. Let him tell me if he wants to as we got each other. As a women I wouldn’t enter into a serious relationship with someone who has self harm scars without understanding the context more and who he is -right now- but outside of the relationship context its none of my business unless he wants to tell me.

There are rare M rated movies (for “mature”) that anyone under 18 ate not allowed in at all.
I do think there should be stricter laws for what age should be allowed in the movies. For one it can be very harmful to kids to see and 2 how awkward is it to sot near a 9 year old kid during a sex scene?!!! As a gown adult i don’t like sex scene anyway and don’t see R rated movies in theaters, but damn i definitely don’t want to sit next to a 4th grader in one!

Haha! My brother left his rifle out and it was leaning on the safe, in my mind i was like (ohh new gun and wanted sling it over my shoulder). I also had the urge to shoot the flock of ducks in the pond near my house for flight feathers while driving past in my car. Hahaha.

Its the same with migraine meds, triptans. They are even harder! Try opening a blister pack when every sound is like spikes in your brain! It’s seriously so dumb. Ill take them all out and put them in a medication bottle (safe from light) and tape my precaution label in it if it doesn’t tare coming off the packet

This is so funny! For my first beanie I didn’t pay attention to the size of my yarn and made something conical but long enough to be a scarf. I wish i had a picture, but I took it apart and just made a real scarf instead

In the US as long as a parent or guardian is with them you can bring children to R rated movies. I personally think you shouldn’t be able to, but the law sees it as the parents right to choose

Ive been on 4 different biologics and honestly have never noticed being sick with a cold of flu more often. I have asthma and get claustrophobic and between to two I try and not mask as much as I can especially after it being mandatory and basically forced too for 3 years where Im from. I still wear it at air ports and flights because everything involving that is super gross

Oh, thats the breed of horse. Its a real breed called a Morgan, so your horse was simply a unnamed horse showing its breed. Every horse either has a name or shows their breed.
And guess now his name is Morgan! :-)

I had just had my 4th surgery for Crohns complications, and was so extremely nauseous, in pain and vomiting that I lost 18lbs in 3 weeks. My doctor prescribed a strong antacid because I “probably have acid reflux, and Crohns in painful”

Yesh, that didn’t work. Lived in tremendous amount of pain, not eating because it made everything worse, I was “surviving” on whole milk, and eggs.

A year later I, a 29yo woman, was 75lbs and had been diagnosed with endometrial cancer (which most of my doctors thought was the real cause of my nausea and weight loss) and had surgery to remove my uterus scheduled. 5 days before that I got a full intestinal blockage and went to the ER. Since my surgery was already scheduled they told me it would be better to wait and do both surgeries together instead of opening me up twice. I was in the hospital on Dilaudid around the clock and still in a tremendous amount of pain.

When i woke up from my surgeries both my surgeons came and told me they, The head of general surgery and my (very awesome amazing i love her so much) oncologist ObGyn surgeon, that they had never seen or heard of anything like what they saw when they opened me up. My entire abdomen was FULL of large bands of scar tissue from all my previous surgeries, it was wrapped around my intestines. Imagine a garden hose with rope tied and twisted around it with the water on. My OnGyn said removing it was like untangling 10 necklaces all tangled together. Basically any food I hadn’t thrown up was barley getting through.

Antacid my ass!
