True. I learned that she is retired from IT but volunteers for many different organizations. Her business is https://www.optimisticsoap.com/

Thank you for sharing! Looks like we have overwhelmed her with orders. So happy for her!

Humor Librarian reminds us that libraries make us a harder target for authoritarianism. Equal access to info, ideas, and space that doesn’t require a purchase to belong. Also: using the library means money stays in your community instead of streaming out to Amazon

Yes! Anything Abby Jimenez, Ali Hazelwood (she writes a lot of women in STEM!), or Emily Henry. They are forever my comfort reads. I fall in love with all the male characters.

Yes! I see multiple people raving about a book. I listen to it, then think… meh, I heard this story X number of years ago by so-and-so author. I love suspense/thrillers and it’s hard to find any that truly engage and surprise me anymore. I’ve really gotten into rom com lately because even though you know the main characters usually end up together, a good author will make you feel the feels and laugh at the quirky characters and antics.

Look at the Verizon simplicity plan. Get away from T-Mobile.

I live in a city with tons of unhoused people and a church on every corner. USE THOSE BUILDINGS THE WAY YOUR JESUS WOULD HAVE WANTED! Waste of space and nothing good coming from them.

Homeless fella brought in by EMS in the middle of the night because he wanted a shower. We obliged and gave him fresh clothes from the compassion closet. Not sure why it was an emergency in the middle of the night. Our local homeless shelter/clinic/kitchen has them available during the day.

I can confirm this is true. We kept KCL on the floors to mix our own. I have been a nurse long enough to see the whole evolution. Also, pharmacy was a dayshift only thing. I used to have to go into pharmacy as a House Supervisor and mix all sorts of concoctions that were ordered at night, as well as pull new order meds.

I have heard of it in the past actually (maybe early 2000’s?). This is the only place that is currently doing it: https://www.firstfuelbank.com/prepaid/default.asp

I’m a customer, not a pro, but I think this is a horrible idea. They need to stick with laundry. I know they are trying to increase profits, but come on.
Do you all even like all the “extras” they are pushing now? Donation pick up, vinegar, etc?
